@op I think you have pretty much summed it up. The benz wins it for the luxury that's the "comfortability" and the BMW has it for the performance which is the "speed". So it depends on which side one falls under. Personally for me its Beema all the way, love the M3 to be precise.

Through the digusie of "terroism" the western imperialist have once again played the african continent by forcing Africom down our throats.
"As head of Africa Command, Rodriguez would help oversee counter-terrorism missions in Somalia, Yemen, Mali, Nigeria and elsewhere, as well as training and other efforts designed to bolster US military ties across the region". Our "saviour" Africom to the rescue!!

Foreign AffairsRe: Iranians’ 30-bomb Plot On Kenya by xcolanto(op): 2:58am On Jul 04, 2012
I do smell a plot to rope Iran into this recent "bombing spree" in the African region despite the claim that the suspects are Iranian citizens. It should be noted that a recent agreement has been reached by Kenya and Tehran to sign oil contracts next month (Read article above). It seems some governments (Westerners) are not pleased with this trade agreement not ignoring the fact that Kenya just found oil on their soil. Also this plot would play out by shining the "Terrorism" light on Iran so as to gain more grounds on why Israel et al would invade/attack Iran in the near future as they are being portrayed as threats to the international community (development of a nuclear war head) their investments and interests most importantly in the African region and the world at large. The truth is that these western countries are facing serious financial and economic crises and the need to selfishly secure their future(natural and mineral resources in Africa) from growing and emerging economies like china, Russia et al is not left at the expense of causing conflict, internal wars, deceit, falsehood and high negative media propaganda to suit their selfish agendas. The high rate of "Terrorism" in the African continent within the last year till date (the birth of the Arab spring) is something one should be weary about as this are highly played scheme by imperialists (western governments) to destabilize and portray the region as weak so as to come as the "saviors" whilst carrying out their hidden objectives to secure more resources and closely watch and control how these resources are exported and distributed world wide to their allies through organisations and agencies like Africom. et al.
Foreign AffairsIranians’ 30-bomb Plot On Kenya by xcolanto(op): 2:13am On Jul 04, 2012
Nairobi, Kenya - Two Iranians who led authorities to a cache of explosives after their arrest planned to attack Israeli, U.S., British or Saudi targets inside Kenya, officials told The Associated Press on Monday.
The two are believed to be members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps Quds Force, an elite and secretive unit that acts against foreign interests, one of the officials said.
The foiled attack appeared to fit into a global pattern of alleged plots by Iranian agents. Previous plots were uncovered in the U.S. — against Saudi Arabia’s ambassador — as well as in Thailand, Azerbaijan and India.

Kenyan security forces arrested the Iranians on June 19 and were then led to 15 kilograms (33 pounds) of RDX, a powerful explosive that could have been used against multiple targets or concentrated in one large bomb. If used together, the explosives could have leveled a medium-sized hotel, officials told AP. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the investigation.
The two suspects — Ahmad Abolfathi Mohammad and Sayed Mansour Mousavi — appeared in a Kenyan court last week, where Mohammad said he had been interrogated by Israeli agents. Israel’s embassy said it had no comment.
In Israel, the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the AP that “there are no limits to the Iranian terror.”
“After Iran sent its people to assassinate the Saudi ambassador on American soil and carry out attacks in Azerbaijan, Bangkok, Tbilisi and New Delhi, now its intention to carry out attacks in Africa is revealed. The international community needs to fight the world’s greatest exporter of terror,” said a statement from Netanyahu’s office.
Given the previous alleged plots against Israeli interests overseas, it appeared likely that Israeli properties in Kenya were the likely primary targets, said one of the two officials, a Western diplomat.
Anthony Cordesman, a Middle East expert at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, said the alleged plot fits into a pattern of Iranian actions against Israel.
Israel wants Iran to be prevented from developing a nuclear weapon. Tehran insists its nuclear activities are for peaceful purposes only, such as generating electricity and medical research.
Five Iranian scientists with links to Tehran’s nuclear program have been killed in the last two years, and Iran has blamed Israel — as well as U.S. and British intelligence agencies — for the attacks. In return, Israel blames Iran for alleged reprisal missions on Israeli property and personnel overseas.
Iran has denied any links to attacks outside its borders.
“It is much more likely if they were to do anything in Africa that they would try to find Israeli targets rather than U.S., British or Saudi targets,” Cordesman said. “The reason basically is that to some extent, there is an al-Quds operation against Israel, which is a reprisal to Israeli attacks on Iranian physicists and scientists.”
Several resorts on Kenya’s coast are Israeli-owned, as is Nairobi’s largest and newest shopping mall. Militants in 2002 bombed an Israeli-owned luxury hotel near the coastal city of Mombasa, killing 13 people. The militants also tried to shoot down an Israeli airliner at the same time. An al-Qaida operative was linked to those attacks.
Representatives at the U.S. Embassy, the British High Commission and the Israeli Embassy declined to comment on the latest arrests. Kenya’s government spokesman did not answer phone calls or text messages seeking comment.
Investigators believe that if the Iranian plot had been successful, suspicion would have naturally fallen not on Iran but instead on the al-Qaida-linked Somali militant group al-Shabab. Al-Shabab has threatened to bring Nairobi’s skyscrapers to the ground following Kenya’s military push into Somalia last year.
Militants — most likely from Somalia — have pulled off small-scale attacks in Kenya in the last year, including kidnappings, grenade attacks and a bombing in downtown Nairobi that peeled back the roof of a building.
It is unlikely the Iranians were working in concert with al-Shabab because the two groups come from two different branches of Islam and don’t normally cooperate.
The advanced explosives the Iranians had and their links to the Quds Force would indicate the mission in Kenya was cleared by the highest levels inside Iran’s government, the two officials who spoke to the AP said.
Cordesman said it’s not clear how much central direction Quds operatives receive from top Iranian leaders.
The two Iranians were arrested in Kenya’s capital, Nairobi, but led investigators to the explosives in Mombasa. Mohammad said in court last week that he and Mousavi were injected with an unknown substance against their will. The Kenyan magistrate ordered the allegation to be investigated.
Prosecutors said in their charge sheet that the two had explosives “in circumstances that indicated they were armed with the intent to commit a felony, namely, acts intended to cause grievous harm.”
Despite the threats that the Iranian agents appeared to pose, the Kenyan government has not directly commented on the arrests or the discovery of the explosives.
Yusuf Haji, Kenya’s acting internal security minister and current defense minister, was asked at a news conference Friday about the case, but he said the issue was “sensitive” and that he had no comment while the court case was ongoing. Haji said more information would be revealed when the prosecution presents its evidence.
Kenyan officials have an economic incentive to treat the case delicately. Kenya’s Business Daily reported Monday that Tehran and Nairobi will sign oil contracts next month despite the risk of sanctions for buying Iranian oil. Iran’s first vice president visited Kenya in May.
David Kirimi, a lawyer who represents the Iranians, said in court last week that their arrests could harm relations between Kenya and Iran. The prosecutor said he was pressing a case against a specific crime and was not concerned with diplomacy.
Mohammad alleged in court that — in addition to the injection — he was tortured, although he described only difficult living conditions, such as having to sleep on a cement floor.
Other overseas plots believed to have been carried out by Iranian agents include bomb plans in Thailand, an attack against the wife of an Israeli diplomat in India, and the targeting of Israeli teachers at a Jewish school in Azerbaijan.

Finally, Man made "Terrorism" that was used as a tool in September 11 to control the citizens of America and the world at large by instilling fear, confusion and panic across the globe has come to stay. This lead to the creation of laws both locally and internationally after the 9/11 attack that enabled world governments (Powers) such as the U.S, Britain et al to stop and search at any given point in time, hold any suspect for over 24 hours and above on suspicion of terror activities etc, as well as invade and attack countries which where perceived to be linked to terrorism even when they created this monsters themselves. Man made "Terrorism" was a long term plan by some heads of governments(U.S,Britain et al)back in the day to checkmate then middle eastern countries that would not play according to the rules and demands of these governments which had more to do with their interests and what they could benefit from them. E.g Afghanistan, Iraq etc. It should be recalled that the U.S sponsored the tali-bans in Afghanistan with arms and military intelligence against the then USSR and shortly after they fell out, hence the birth of what is called "terrorism" as the tali-bans where not disarmed and some fractions of the tali-bans held grudges with the U.S due to their deceit. Today the same strategy (terrorist attack on countries)of these leaders have shifted focus to the African continent where a surprising increasing of terrorist activities are springing up across the region and most importantly in developing countries that either have mineral and natural resources or are of some strategic importance to the aim of installing military bases (AFRICOM)to closely monitor the region, affairs of governments and the flow of its resources to the west whilst sighting security issues and "terrorism" as its aim of being in the region to help combat and stop "terrorism". However, those of us that have carefully followed the events of "terrorism" would know that the U.S has not been able to stop it, instead the their activities continue to increase and are spreading like wildfire thanks to their creators (U.S et al). The destabilization of the African region today is no coincidence but a well read out script that has been in existence over the years but is just being played out now that other emerging world governments as China (in terms of economic and Military strength)same as Russia are penetrating the main source of livelihood and sustainability of the U.S et al. It should be noted that despite the presence of the C.I.A, F.B.I et al on Nigerian soil since early or late last year, the activities of boko-haram has only continued to worsen and these agencies do not seem to be scoring points on their mission in Nigeria huh. (Food for thought) Let those who have ears listen!! Peace lipsrsealed
Christianity EtcRe: Christianity For Christians. by xcolanto(m): 5:33pm On Jun 10, 2012
Its only fair that the Christians have their own section so far as a religion (Muslims) have been given theirs. The denial of this would only lead to christian members of this forum feeling deprived and cheated of their own platform to express their religious views in a section created for them and this demand would continue to come up so long the forum exists. The best would be for seun to address the issue if he would create such section and if not why not. I believe nairaland is a community with different religious backgrounds and i don't see how accommodating these diverse religions should be a problem.

I think the key word here in regards to the 'beef' amongst and within female folks ball down to the term Jelousy. Women tend to be jelous of other women who have something they dnt have or have more of what they do have. E.g physicaly attributes such as ass and boobs, also materialistic things as personal possessions. I say this couus I see women look at other women the same way a man would check out a babe and trust me they ent gay..lol. Also I was suprised when I went to a strip club to find girls hustling to see other girls jst like the male folks.(Found this strange). Now men could insult and yab themselves on the surface without no hard feelings, no beef, grudge.(Me and my friends do this over a few bottles and on a group chat jst for trips..lol). But them ladies if u do see them throwing insults its serious business and that beef can last for ages. Yes indeed women are their worst enemies.

Foreign AffairsLibya: So It Was All About Oil After All! by xcolanto(op): 2:37am On Apr 16, 2012
Last year NATO countries bombed Libya, demanding “democracy” in the country. But now it’s clear it was all about oil and it’s not like the Americans and Brits are going to be democratic about it, and share those spoils equally with France and Italy.
So… oil giants Total from France and ENI from Italy are just going to have to wait in the sidelines while the hungry American and British big boys take their juicy oil slices first… ExxonMobil, Chevron, Texaco, BP, Shell…
It’s no surprise then to read in The Wall Street Journal that the US Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), together with the puppet Libyan “authorities” are launching “investigations” into both companies’ “financial irregularities” in their shady dealings during the forty-two years of Gaddafi’s power. Now who would have imagined this! An Italian oil company involved in kick-backs? Corruption at the highest echelons of the French oil industry?!? Tsk, tsk!!! Unheard of…! The US and UK would never do something like that!! Just ask Enron, ask Halliburton, ask BP…
Clearly, major oil companies will now be judged on how close or how far they were from the Gaddafi’s, and on how much their respective countries contributed to last year’s war effort. Perhaps even on how much and how far and wide they shared their huge ill-obtained profits. It seems that scorecards must now be completed…
It’s worth remembering that at the height of the Libyan fighting last year, the “rebels” found the necessary time, between their “freedom fighting” shifts, to set up a new national oil company. As Bloomberg reported on 22nd March 2011, “The Transitional National Council released a statement announcing the decision made at a March 19 meeting to establish the “Libyan Oil Company as supervisory authority on oil production and policies in the country, based temporarily in Benghazi, and the appointment of an interim director general” of the company.”
And just as big oil and big finance always dance together, that report then went on to explain that “The Council also said it “designated the Central Bank of Benghazi as a monetary authority competent in monetary policies in Libya and the appointment of a governor to the Central Bank of Libya, with a temporary headquarters in Benghazi.”
Like Romeo and Juliet, Tristan and Isolde, or Abelard and Eloise, Oil and Money are probably the West’s most universal and paradigmatic duo. Their love affair has been going strong for many decades.
Oil is a mighty powerful global business. Oil companies can make or break governments and entire countries. Nationalizing a foreign oil company like Iran did in the early fifties can put the CIA and MI6 spy agencies into full-gear ousting democratically elected governments and replacing them with “more suitable leaders'.
Trading oil in any currency other than the US Dollar as Saddam Hussein dared to do in November 2002 can get you invaded just a few months later. Even weak Argentina’s finger-pointing at illegal British oil escapades in the Falkland Islands resulted in the Royal Navy dispatching super destroyers and nuclear subs to the region…
Libya is the world’s 9th largest oil producing country and holds Africa’s largest oil reserve. Gaddafi was planning to introduce a new currency for Libyan and regional oil: the Gold Dinar which, contrary to the US Dollar, would have had true intrinsic value. Gaddafi’s central bank, in turn, was fully independent of the global financial usury-based system presently in global free-fall. Gaddafi was using oil revenues for his own people and not for the US/UK/EU/Israeli war efforts in the Middle East and further afield.
So, when the Persian Gulf became the very, very hot spot it is today, the global oil cartel together with the mega-bankers who shuffle those trillions upon trillions of Petro-Dollars all over the world, had to make sure that their respective governments would put their military on red-alert, as the oil giants scrambled for new sources…
The focus is increasingly on oil fields lying in “kinder, gentler” parts of the world: the Falkland Islands, the Brazilian Coasts, and Libya that lies smack in the middle of that easy-to-attack “it’s our-bloody-Mediterranean-Sea” North African Coast.
Last year’s destruction of Libya was a reflection of just this type of complex behind-the-scenes engineering of all these key oil, financial, military, media and political players. It’s the kind of Real News that seldom if ever hits the headlines… just because it is the Real News!
During the better part of last year until the public execution of Muhamar Gaddafi by the Western Power’s proxies inside Libya – i.e., mercenaries, criminals, thugs and CIA/MI6/Mossad agents, aka “Freedom Fighters” – the Western media repeated time and again how very bad Gaddafi had suddenly become overnight; how the poor Libyans were clamouring for “democracy”; and how the heroic Libyan “freedom fighters” based, armed, trained and financed in Benghazi were battling to “liberate” Libya and impose Clintonite “democracy” and “human rights”. Actually these “freedom fighters” overshot their runway: now that Libya is finally “free”, they’re asking for the Eastern Cyrenaica region to secede from the rest of the country.
Was civil war part of the West’s plan for Libya? Last year, after securing full UN backing via Resolution No. 1973 allowing NATO air strikes to devastate the country and impose the most violent regime change seen in recent times, NATO-backed thugs have plunged the country into chaos.
As the “Libya Business News” publication mentions on Tuesday, “About 3,000 people gathered in Benghazi last month to announce that Barca (Cyrenaica) was an autonomous region within a federal state. Barca is at the centre of Libya’s oil industry, with two thirds of production and three quarters of reserves there.” It is one of the three historic regions into which the country is divided. And while Barca has the most oil, the other two is home to two thirds of the population. So the question now is how the rich revenues from rich oil reserves will be “democratically” distributed among the population.

Yes your are right! The "westerners" have no good policy towards africa and device means and strategies on how to continualy keep the african continet in underdevelopment so as to make the region forever dependent on them. In that way they can keep giving us Aid through there agencies like the Imf and world bank and use that meduim to dictate policies which are favourable to them, mostly in trade agreements which downgrades the african economies and leave them in massive poverty. Just a point to pounder on, religion started or in other words was brought to us from the "west" today, they are less religous people in the west as compared to africa which has most of the religous people on earth. Also Aids (the sexualy transmited diease) also has its roots from the "west" but today is highly concentrated in africa. Many have claimed that Aids in itself is a man made diease targeted to depopulate the earth, mostly in the african region and religion in itself (christainity to be precise) was a tool presented in one hand whilst slavery was brougth with other. Stalking to be made specific criminal offence - Cameron

Plaid MP leads stalking law call
Stalking is to be made a specific criminal offence in England and Wales, Prime Minister David Cameron has said.

He will meet stalking victims later at Number 10 in a reception to mark International Women's Day on Thursday.

Mr Cameron described stalking as "an abhorrent crime" which "makes life a living hell for the victims".

A parliamentary inquiry has called for a new offence to be introduced at once, saying harassment and intimidation can often turn into murder.

Mr Cameron said stalking had the effect of "breaking up relationships, forcing the victims to move house, making them feel they are being watched 24 hours of the day".

"That is why we are explicitly criminalising stalking, to make sure that justice is done, protect the victims and show beyond doubt that stalking is a crime."

Stalking cases
Shadow home secretary Yvette Cooper is calling for the government to support a Labour amendment to the Protection of Freedoms Bill, which would create a new offence, in the House of Lords on Monday.

"We need rapid progress and we need a new law which is strong enough; half-hearted measures won't be enough," she said.

"Victims have already waited too long, and the prime minister should support our tough and clear new offence."

The calls for reform came after the case of Clifford Mills, 49, who stalked his ex-girlfriend Lorna Smith on Facebook before stabbing her to death at his flat in Brixton, south London, in February last year.

He was jailed last month for life, with a minimum term of 21 years after being found guilty of murder.

The parliamentary inquiry heard that some 120,000 victims, mostly women, are stalked each year but only 53,000 are recorded as crimes by police and only one in 50 of these lead to an offender being jailed.

Meanwhile, the government also announced that men in Britain accused of raping or assaulting women abroad could be put on trial in the UK courts.

Mr Cameron and Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg stated their intention to sign up to the Council of Europe's Convention on Violence Against Women and Domestic Violence.

'Utter scandal'
Once this treaty is ratified into UK law, offenders who cannot be brought to trial in the country where the alleged crime was committed will be able to be prosecuted in the UK.

Mr Cameron and Mr Clegg said the "unprecedented" agreement would help tackle the "utter scandal" of women suffering violence and domestic abuse.

"The agreement is not just a piece of paper. It's going to lift the standards of protection for women across Europe, give greater support for victims and, crucially, bring many more perpetrators to justice," they said in a joint statement.

"By signing the convention we would ensure that British offenders who commit their crimes abroad would still face justice in our courts. This is what we do in cases of murder and paedophilia.

"We believe rapists and abusive men from the UK who seriously harm women should face the same fate wherever they commit the offence. Our message must be loud and clear - there must be nowhere to hide."
