The invasion of Liyba by NATO is 100% legal and it will be upheld in the Hages. The UN Security Council voted to authorize the invasion. Gadaffi and his sons were indicted in The Hages and Interpol was given the authority to arrest them.

Agreed, he would not have been killed after he was captured alive. But there is no evidence that it was NATO or their mercenaries that captured him or killed him.

The purpose of the lawsuite in the Hages by his family is just to get publicity, it does not have substance.

You definitely do not have a first hand knowledge about what really took place in Liyba, what made you think that your sources are more reliable than CNN or the western media that had journalist in Liyba who spoke with people ther?

Yes, the guy must have been good to some section of his people, all dictators in history do not hate everyone, else they would not hold to power for too long, they need protection hence they have to be good to some. Alot of Liybans died during this fight against Gadaffi and many rejoiced in the street when they heard he has been captured/killed. These are real Liyba people and not mercenaries, he were that good to them, they would not have easily turn their back on him.

The invasion of Libya was backed by U.N and other western countries (Vato powers) based mainly on their interests (what they could get that they never had control over e.g oil and Libyan enormous funds etc). Did you know Libya has one of the largest oil reserve as an oil producing state and an independent banking system in which they neither owed or borrowed from western sapping institutions like the IMF and World bank who lend you money and dictate policies that favor them when you cant pay up?? you also should be familiar with the number one western policy (interest), that is why these western powers have continued to play a blind eye towards a lot of ongoing conflicts around the globe (precisely the African continent before the Arab spring came up) worse than the acclaimed situation in Libya. Look at Syria, Yemen and Bahrain. You may guess why?? ANSWER= those countries have nothing to offer "economically and financially" to the west. You may also want to ask why the west invested billions of pounds and dollars in supplying arms, bombs and mercenaries to overthrow the legitimate government of Libya while their economies needed the money the most to get back on track.lol! Too many unanswered questions wink

You also should be aware that Libya had a lot of dealings with Russia and China rather than the U.S and France, both in oil and arms which was a direct treat to the supremacy of the U.S as the number one world power currently facing economic hardship and is being threatened to be overtaken by China in few years to come. The current economic hardship is also within the boarders of the E.U (Greece et al) hence the need to control more resources by the west from their number one source The African Continent is vital to their survival and maintaining their status in the globe. tongue

When the west is against you everything that belongs to them and things they control would automatically be against u. ) you tube uploads from independent and neutral people in Libya giving information opposite to what your favorites (CNN et al) tell you and not hold on to biased, unbalanced and cheap reporting to suit the western invasion of Libya. wow! now back to the topic, i still hold my view as expressed on my first post on this thread. cool

You can not discus the topic without mentioning dictatorship because that is what Gaddafi was, the idea that higher percentage of Libyans are happy with Gaddafi is grossly misleading, its even more misleading to suggest that NATO imported mercenaries to fight Gaddafi, do yourself a favor and read up about who used mercenaries from Niger, Chad and Mali to kill Libyans, its no secret.

If higher percentage of Libyans are happy with Gaddafi why then did they start the protest that led to this? The West started it?

Gadhafi might have been a dictator no doubt! however i state again dictator or not! no one deserves to be humiliated the way Gadhafi was if not there is no justice. what ever happened to court order of the icc to trial Gadhafi on baseless allegations without evidence?? why was he not handed alive so he can be made to pay for all the "atrocities" you claim he committed?? why was a video shown of him alive and later a video shown of him dead saying he died from bullet wounds?? i think you need to do more independent research on the war in Libya and stop being spoon feed by western medias such as CNN and co who spread propaganda just to get the support of the "world" into justifying the invasion of Libya! they is a saying that "who the gods want to disgrace they first make him mad" you may want to ask yourself why Nato and its allies invade Libya in the first place? the truth behind that question if at all u do know the answer would bring knowledge and light into why Gadhafi was assassinated "by his own people" aka NATO mercenaries grin

Seems you did not understand my last post. Like i said the topic is not about dictatorship over democracy or whatever system of government or rule of law there is. It is important to stress that most of the so called "NTC" Rebel fighter were imported from other Arab, french and European countries and all fought for their respective interests, hence the face-off with other rebel fractions mostly read off on the news. I went through the article u posted briefly and it comes as no suprise to me that the attack on the WTC was staged, so was the war against terror starting from osama bin ladien. In my humble opinion, this was done in other to instil fear into the lives of Americans so as to reduce the level of freedom they enjoyed and create a vaild means to control the lives of their citizens in the way that favours them. If am not mistaken, the 911 issue brought about the stop and search law as well as laws that gave way to detaining citizens for hours based on suspicious acts or reasons to believe one is linked to any form of terrorism. This is the same fallacy they are selling to the world (Africa presently) so they can intrude and have a say in the affairs of other countries based on fighting world terror. Nigeria as we are told now is being invaded and threaten by boko haram which the CIA claims have strong links with al qaida. Al-qaida that is basically U.S" made". My african people do not forget the desire to have Africom in africa by the west! And that can only be achieved through creating chaos in the region that would have the ever depending africa to call on the west for help, hence the introduction of Africom. Just my two cents

I remember me and Cap28 stating that the ideology of the boko haram and their activities have been highjacked by some foreign agencies such as the CIA et al and some ignorant NLers laughed off such possiblity. Today the chief of army staff has re-stated that same opinion we shared on this forum a while ago. Am sure we might look like prophets to some but its just common sense that many fail to apply. Although he didn't mention these organisations, we all know the countries and their agencies (U.S, U.K and Co) that have the technical and intelligence capabilities to train and equip these group in carrying out their selfish intrests. To be honest we all should know that those boys from bauchi et al do not have what it takes to pull these bombings in the police heaquaters and the U.N building to be precise. Nigeria open your eyes! I am beginning to become suspicious of these wikileaks reports in regards to Nigerian politics. It seems these days Nigerian news regarding corruption is the order of the day coming from these leaks. Do not get me wrong these leaks are real but it is possible that they could be fabricated to create more division politically in the Nigerian government from bodies like the CIA and other western agents in the hopes of splitting the country. It is so sad that the Nigerian government and other African leaders as well as their citizens cannot see through the gimmicks of the west and how they plan to achieve the so called "break up" of Nigeria by the year 2015 as they predicted. Africa really needs to wake up and come up with ideas of how they can handle their affairs without the intrusion of the western powers, although they have created a system in which Africa remains forever dependent on the west. I believe strongly that Gaddaffi had foreseen these events and tried to warn and unite Africans against a new form of colonialism which is gradually taking place through out Africa.

All those calling for the head of gaddafi, how many times did France, US, Britain, Nato and the NTC make attempts to negotiate diplomatically with the Libyan leader before the incident escalated to what it is now?? Obviously these bodies had their personal interests in mind when attacking and bombing the people of Libya in other to control their resources (oil). let us stop being gullible by western propaganda all in the name of hanging a man (Gaddafi) who had a record of elevating the people of Libya economically (a stable economy without the strong hold and infuelence of western puppet bodies such as the IMF and World bank) and technically ( homes and water supplies as well as medical facilities) than most African countries in the continent. Do not get me wrong Gaddafi is no saint but the way the western powers choose to take him out is questionable.
