Nice one only that one thing is left out... Ladies and Gentlemen be very true to yourself think deeply... there's one tool every man born into this world have from birth... CONSCIENCE and conscience is like our body muscles you ignore it, it withers away, you train it to be evil, it becomes very evil and destructive, you listen to it and nurture it to grow by emulating Good things and principles you attain good moral standard, a good conscience will always take you to the right place, it will direct you on which book to read in that classroom.
To make it easy, you don't need to reinvent the wheel, I am a Christian (Follower of Christ Jesus) and I believe Jesus is the Way, The Truth and the Light, It's simple to read about Jesus in the bible and tell me if your conscience disagrees with his personality...
... and by the way, Christianity is more than religion, its a way of life... |

dhardline: I like the way you mentioned that you took out time to read some of the books removed or separated as the case maybe, I would not lie to you I have not read all myself. To a large extent you are sincere and so I'll ask you if you know what is Justication by faith without the deeds of the law? Our conscience is our biggest judge, you see eh when you ask yourself if you'll make heaven instantly your conscience gives you an answer(there is fear) why has many people ignored that fear and assume that hopefully I'll make it. Who assumes that he'll graduate from a school if he has not followed the due process put in place by the school authorities? But in Christianity we like to assume. My dear please for the sake of your eternal soul seek, knock and ask and the truth will be revealed to you. It does not come to those who just assume. I was born into a Christian home and I answered a Christian from birth but I will tell you that I've just really been a Christian less than 2years. Justification is by faith. When the question on whether one will make heaven brings fear, it's either one is not a christian or the accuser of the brethren is at work, if you are born again and Christ is your lord and savoiur, faith calls those things that be not as though they were, no matter how much you may have struggled to be righteous or not, your righteousness is as a filthy rag, our righteousness is the righteousness of Christ, so by faith you will make heaven, if any fault comes to mind purge yourself immediately and ask for mercy and grace. Heaven is by faith, for without faith it is impossible to please God. |

Teedawg: This is what i have to say to all regardless of your believes or unbelieves we are still here talking about what happens after death everybody bring his or her own opinion based on what they believe there are lot of unresolved questions in this world only those who have died know what happens but wait what if there is no consciousness in them to even know the state they are haha. how do we know lol somethings are better left unexplained thats why God told Adam and eve not to eat of the fruit because they won't be able to handle what comes after and that is why we go through this stage of uncertainty maybe if he had taken more bites from the fruit the thing for Balance but the dose is not complete haha. that is why i even laugh when some people say there is No God how the heck will you know just because a human being sat anf thought of it and it made sense to him doesnt mean he is right it doesn't also mean its wrong but you can not be sure that is why i always say God or no God i appreciate the fact that there are holy books to guide you that's one of the important of them to help you restrain all this curiosity that can make you go mad even if there is no God I'll still appreciate those who made it and it actually defines what i see in my society today so that's a point for me. if truly God doesn't exist then how will a group of individuals who i will consider not so intelligent at that time as the science say got to create things that matches at different time intervals haha The only thing that can question the bible authenticity is when its proved that aliens exist Note i said Bible not God me ma get question will rapture actually happen also are we actually going to heaven abi God will make the earth a new earth (Jerusalem ) in which we will dwell in with him(go and read revelations to understand ) Where actually do you stand, cos you sound so confused, if you disapprove of the bible then how come you believe the story of Adam and Eve? if you believe the story of Adam and Eve to be true, then believe the whole bible otherwise dont believe, decide where you stand. |

Sman37: Mass Murder This is what the Lord of hosts has to say: ‘I will punish what Amalek did to Israel when he barred his way as he was coming up from Egypt. Go, now, attack Amalek, and deal with him and all that he has under the ban. Do not spare him, but kill men and women, children and infants, oxen and sheep, camels and asses.’ (1 Samuel 15:2-3 NAB) You Have to Kill Cursed be he who does the Lords work remissly, cursed he who holds back his sword from blood. (Jeremiah 48:10 NAB) The Danites Kill the Next Town But the territory of the Danites was too small for them; so the Danites marched up and attacked Leshem, which they captured and put to the sword. Once they had taken possession of Lesham, they renamed the settlement after their ancestor Dan. (Joshua 19:47 NAB) God Kills Some More Then the LORD said to me, “Even if Moses and Samuel stood before me pleading for these people, I wouldn’t help them. Away with them! Get them out of my sight! And if they say to you, ‘But where can we go?’ tell them, ‘This is what the LORD says: Those who are destined for death, to death; those who are destined for war, to war; those who are destined for famine, to famine; those who are destined for captivity, to captivity.’ “I will send four kinds of destroyers against them,” says the LORD. “I will send the sword to kill, the dogs to drag away, the vultures to devour, and the wild animals to finish up what is left. Because of the wicked things Manasseh son of Hezekiah, king of Judah, did in Jerusalem, I will make my people an object of horror to all the kingdoms of the earth.” (Jeremiah 15:1-4 NLT) God Promises More Killing I will make Mount Seir utterly desolate, killing off all who try to escape and any who return. I will fill your mountains with the dead. Your hills, your valleys, and your streams will be filled with people slaughtered by the sword. I will make you desolate forever. Your cities will never be rebuilt. Then you will know that I am the LORD. (Ezekiel 35:7-9 NLT) The Angel of Death My angel will go before you and bring you to the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites, and Jebusites; and I will wipe them out. (Exodus 23:23 NAB) Destruction of Ai Then the LORD said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid or discouraged. Take the entire army and attack Ai, for I have given to you the king of Ai, his people, his city, and his land. You will destroy them as you destroyed Jericho and its king. But this time you may keep the captured goods and the cattle for yourselves. Set an ambush behind the city.” So Joshua and the army of Israel set out to attack Ai. Joshua chose thirty thousand fighting men and sent them out at night with these orders: “Hide in ambush close behind the city and be ready for action. When our main army attacks, the men of Ai will come out to fight as they did before, and we will run away from them. We will let them chase us until they have all left the city. For they will say, ‘The Israelites are running away from us as they did before.’ Then you will jump up from your ambush and take possession of the city, for the LORD your God will give it to you. Set the city on fire, as the LORD has commanded. You have your orders.” So they left that night and lay in ambush between Bethel and the west side of Ai. But Joshua remained among the people in the camp that night. Early the next morning Joshua roused his men and started toward Ai, accompanied by the leaders of Israel. They camped on the north side of Ai, with a valley between them and the city. That night Joshua sent five thousand men to lie in ambush between Bethel and Ai, on the west side of the city. So they stationed the main army north of the city and the ambush west of the city. Joshua himself spent that night in the valley. When the king of Ai saw the Israelites across the valley, he and all his army hurriedly went out early the next morning and attacked the Israelites at a place overlooking the Jordan Valley. But he didn’t realize there was an ambush behind the city. Joshua and the Israelite army fled toward the wilderness as though they were badly beaten, and all the men in the city were called out to chase after them. In this way, they were lured away from the city. There was not a man left in Ai or Bethel who did not chase after the Israelites, and the city was left wide open. Then the LORD said to Joshua, “Point your spear toward Ai, for I will give you the city.” Joshua did as he was commanded. As soon as Joshua gave the signal, the men in ambush jumped up and poured into the city. They quickly captured it and set it on fire. When the men of Ai looked behind them, smoke from the city was filling the sky, and they had nowhere to go. For the Israelites who had fled in the direction of the wilderness now turned on their pursuers. When Joshua and the other Israelites saw that the ambush had succeeded and that smoke was rising from the city, they turned and attacked the men of Ai. Then the Israelites who were inside the city came out and started killing the enemy from the rear. So the men of Ai were caught in a trap, and all of them died. Not a single person survived or escaped. Only the king of Ai was taken alive and brought to Joshua. When the Israelite army finished killing all the men outside the city, they went back and finished off everyone inside. So the entire population of Ai was wiped out that day – twelve thousand in all. For Joshua kept holding out his spear until everyone who had lived in Ai was completely destroyed. Only the cattle and the treasures of the city were not destroyed, for the Israelites kept these for themselves, as the LORD had commanded Joshua. So Ai became a permanent mound of ruins, desolate to this very day. Joshua hung the king of Ai on a tree and left him there until evening. At sunset the Israelites took down the body and threw it in front of the city gate. They piled a great heap of stones over him that can still be seen today. (Joshua 8:1-29 NLT) Killing at Jericho When the people heard the sound of the horns, they shouted as loud as they could. Suddenly, the walls of Jericho collapsed, and the Israelites charged straight into the city from every side and captured it. They completely destroyed everything in it – men and women, young and old, cattle, sheep, donkeys – everything. (Joshua 6:20-21 NLT) God Kills an Extended Family “You have done more evil than all who lived before you. You have made other gods and have made me furious with your gold calves. And since you have turned your back on me, I will bring disaster on your dynasty and kill all your sons, slave or free alike. I will burn up your royal dynasty as one burns up trash until it is all gone. I, the LORD, vow that the members of your family who die in the city will be eaten by dogs, and those who die in the field will be eaten by vultures.'” Then Ahijah said to Jeroboam’s wife, “Go on home, and when you enter the city, the child will die. All Israel will mourn for him and bury him. He is the only member of your family who will have a proper burial, for this child is the only good thing that the LORD, the God of Israel, sees in the entire family of Jeroboam. And the LORD will raise up a king over Israel who will destroy the family of Jeroboam. This will happen today, even now! Then the LORD will shake Israel like a reed whipped about in a stream. He will uproot the people of Israel from this good land that he gave their ancestors and will scatter them beyond the Euphrates River, for they have angered the LORD by worshiping Asherah poles. He will abandon Israel because Jeroboam sinned and made all of Israel sin along with him.” (1 Kings 14:9-16 NLT) Mass Murder The men of Israel withdrew through the territory of the Benjaminites, putting to the sword the inhabitants of the city, the livestock, and all they chanced upon. Moreover they destroyed by fire all the cities they came upon. (Judges 20:48 NAB) The Angel of Death That night the angel of the Lord went forth and struck down one hundred and eighty five thousand men in the Assyrian camp. Early the next morning, there they were, all the corpuses of the dead. (2 Kings 19:35 NAB) Kill Your Neighbors (Moses) stood at the entrance to the camp and shouted, “All of you who are on the LORD’s side, come over here and join me.” And all the Levites came. He told them, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Strap on your swords! Go back and forth from one end of the camp to the other, killing even your brothers, friends, and neighbors.” The Levites obeyed Moses, and about three thousand people died that day. Then Moses told the Levites, “Today you have been ordained for the service of the LORD, for you obeyed him even though it meant killing your own sons and brothers. Because of this, he will now give you a great blessing.” (Exodus 32:26-29 NLT) Kill the Family of Sinners And Joshua said to Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to the LORD God of Israel, and make confession to him; and tell me now what thou hast done, hide it not from me. And Achan answered Joshua, and said, Indeed I have sinned against the LORD God of Israel, and thus and thus have I done. When I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them, and behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it.” [Note that the sin is not looting, but failing to give the loot to the treasury of the Lord.] “So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran to the tent, and behold, it was hid in his tent, and the silver under it. And they took them from the midst of the tent, and brought them to Joshua, and to all the children of Israel, and laid them out before the LORD. And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought them to the valley of Achor. And Joshua said, why hast thou troubled us? the LORD shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones. And they raised over him a great heap of stones to this day. So the LORD turned from the fierceness of his anger: wherefore the name of that place was called the valley of Achor to this day. (Joshua 7:19-26 Webster’s Bible) Kill Followers of Other Religions While the Israelites were camped at Acacia, some of the men defiled themselves by sleeping with the local Moabite women. These women invited them to attend sacrifices to their gods, and soon the Israelites were feasting with them and worshiping the gods of Moab. Before long Israel was joining in the worship of Baal of Peor, causing the LORD’s anger to blaze against his people. The LORD issued the following command to Moses: “Seize all the ringleaders and execute them before the LORD in broad daylight, so his fierce anger will turn away from the people of Israel.” So Moses ordered Israel’s judges to execute everyone who had joined in worshiping Baal of Peor. Just then one of the Israelite men brought a Midianite woman into the camp, right before the eyes of Moses and all the people, as they were weeping at the entrance of the Tabernacle. When Phinehas son of Eleazar and grandson of Aaron the priest saw this, he jumped up and left the assembly. Then he took a spear and rushed after the man into his tent. Phinehas thrust the spear all the way through the man’s body and into the woman’s stomach. So the plague against the Israelites was stopped, but not before 24,000 people had died. (Numbers 25:1-9 NLT) Murder At the customary time for offering the evening sacrifice, Elijah the prophet walked up to the altar and prayed, “O LORD, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, prove today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant. Prove that I have done all this at your command. O LORD, answer me! Answer me so these people will know that you, O LORD, are God and that you have brought them back to yourself.” Immediately the fire of the LORD flashed down from heaven and burned up the young bull, the wood, the stones, and the dust. It even licked up all the water in the ditch! And when the people saw it, they fell on their faces and cried out, “The LORD is God! The LORD is God!” Then Elijah commanded, “Seize all the prophets of Baal. Don’t let a single one escape!” So the people seized them all, and Elijah took them down to the Kishon Valley and killed them there. (1 Kings 18:36-40 NLT) Kill All of Babylon “Go up, my warriors, against the land of Merathaim and against the people of Pekod. Yes, march against Babylon, the land of rebels, a land that I will judge! Pursue, kill, and completely destroy them, as I have commanded you,” says the LORD. “Let the battle cry be heard in the land, a shout of great destruction”. (Jeremiah 50:21-22 NLT) Micah Kills a Whole Town Then, with Micah’s idols and his priest, the men of Dan came to the town of Laish, whose people were peaceful and secure. They attacked and killed all the people and burned the town to the ground. There was no one to rescue the residents of the town, for they lived a great distance from Sidon and had no allies nearby. This happened in the valley near Beth-rehob.Then the people of the tribe of Dan rebuilt the town and lived there. They renamed the town Dan after their ancestor, Israel’s son, but it had originally been called Laish. (Judges 18:27-29 NLT) (Note that God approves of this slaughter in verse 6.) everything you just talked about has nothing to do with Christianity... this is pure Judaism... it's two world separated by the Lifetime, Death, Resurrection and ascension of Christ... |

The scriptures predicted it, Christ even said that in the last days, knowledge will increase and so many will be deceived such that even the very elect will scarcely be saved, this may be the last days or not but we are getting there, all these are signs... Christianity is a very personal experience, a true Christian must have gotten a personal experience with God, it may be spectacular like in the case of Paul, or not like in the case of Andrew, it's more spiritual and intensely deep, the Holy spirit have a major role to play but Men must pray... Most children who grew up in Christian homes have very high expectations from the society and their family, this pressure is enough to make a person build certain resistance on the way to self discovery... in the process the child becomes defiant and start doing the exact opposite of what is expected and if care is not taken this could lead to certain self destruction... Parents have a great role to play, forcing their will on their children will work only before adolescence, the rest should be more of training teaching and nurturing and introducing them to christ at an early age, helping them understand what christianity is all about etc, while praying fervently for them to come to a full understanding... But in our society today the rate of crime and wanton lifestyle the rave of vanity and violence shows that Christian parents have failed woefully, the love of money and all it brings, the rat race so as to meet up with the necessities of life have taken the place of the family alter, most parent feel they can get a quick fix by shoving christianity down the throat of their kids while still trying to keep up with the Joneses... Hmmm children learn more by watching than by listening, parents don't practice what they preach... What about the church... the church today is more or less like every other place... it's no longer a sanctuary a place of refuge, where one can find rest and admonition for an aching heart, a heart full of pain, turmoil, anguish, disappointment and severally battered with the ups and downs of life, there is no hope any where, the only place of at least a small glimpse of light, the church, has been overtaken with so much gloom and darkness, more like a bussiness centre with the pastor as the CEO, soulless, can I stayed add to your woes, it's all about tithes, offering and thanksgiving at least for being alive (whereas to some it's better dead than being alive) the model of the church is carved out to suit the agrarian age, the society as it is, requires a more sophisticated and proactive church that can meet the present sedentary lifestyle of our time, a more aggressive approach to the various challenges be devilish Christians of our time, occupying their heart and making them belive more on personal efforts than on God is required, but no, if you're not rich, or from a rich family you cannot even be a member not to talk of being recognised by the pastor in time of grieve, the first thing you're asked when you want to see the leaders for counselling is, Do you pay your Tithe, even for a jobless guy? That's so cold... Personally I don't believe in the church as it is, I believe I am the church the Holy spirit lives in me and I grow in grace as I study the word of God... Christianity is so personal that not even the church of demons and angels etc can deceive me, I go to church just to see some happy faces, pray with members and listen to some sermons (I select the ones compliant with the scriptures and drop the rest) to me heaven and Christianity is more between me and God and no matter what happens in or out of the church, I can only pray that God saves us all, and preach as much as I can... Christianity is a personal experience borne from a conviction by the Holy spirit and fueled with a personal desire to know more of God... |

hopefulLandlord: I am an atheist. I don’t believe in gods. None of them. Not yours, not theirs, not that one or this one. There is no evidence that gods exist. Period. I didn't start out atheist. I was raised Christian, and stayed that way until my early teens, when I started questioning and reading.
I haven’t prejudged anything, I came to these conclusions years ago after a whole lot of research. So far, I haven’t seen or heard any new arguments that persuade me to buy into religion. For me to believe the stories of the Bible are divine inspiration, I would first have to believe in the divine.
Clearly I don’t insist on Genesis being historical. Not a problem for me, but I live in a country where over 80% of the population believe in Adam and Eve, Noah, angles and demons as real and/or historical beings. That may not describe you, but that is way too many people who fail to connect with reality as far as I’m concerned.
There is nothing I've read or heard about that makes the mythology of a miracle working Jesus at all real for me. There are at least two common scenarios for these stories.
1. Jesus was the son of god, born of a virgin, worked miracles and was resurrected after his execution by the Romans
or
2. That was all made up, because we know that those kinds of stories were common in the day, and everyone of any importance was some kind of magic worker, son of a god or brought back to life.
Our understanding of reality, and the complete dearth of evidence for any of the above makes it easy for me to pick a side on this.
I happen to know many modern intelligent people who believe this nonsense. Some of them are involved in science and have no problem partitioning their mind so as to hold science and reason while also embracing some form of religion including Christianity. Some are friends and some are family. I suggest that your mind reading skills are lacking. (That’s OK because I don’t believe in mind reading either). I think it unlikely in the extreme that god(s) spoke to anyone, even thousands of years ago because as of yet there is no evidence for said god(s).
The Bible is written just the way I would expect the book to be written if it was put together by men (who knows, maybe some women, too) 2000 to 2500 years ago who had limited understanding of the world. There is nothing in it that speaks of inspiration except perhaps in the story telling aspect, but really nothing revealing or earth shattering, though I rather like some of Ecclesiastes and if you cherry pick the New Testament, there is some decent material there, though much of it can be found in many other writings.
I think the reason atheism is on the rise in Nigeria is because people are beginning to think for themselves and holding the religious books and claims to more scrutiny than accepting it at face value as their parents told them to. Just as our views on slavery and bigotry we learned are not humanistic views. I don't use christian/Muslim views as many christian/Islam faiths still preach hate for certain people and use their religious books as justification for this. and I think more people see this and say to themselves this is so wrong how can the bible/Koran be the word of god so then they doubt the bibles origin and teachings and eventually make the transition to atheism. Whatever you think or researched doesn't change a thing... but I believe and pray you find your way home... that same Bible there in lies the truth and the light... |

I thought it's a court of competent jurisdiction that declares one a criminal, a terrorist or guilty.
Its now evident that the court of public opinion which you belong to now is of competent jurisdiction to declare one guilty..
In as much as I'm one clamoring for one Nigeria, I won't indulge in calling someone who wants out a criminal because he feels he doesn't want to stay
It's his choice and opinion I'd advice you to desist from calling one a criminal whom a court of COMPETENT JURISDICTION haven't named one
Have a good day and wishing you some sense Which Court so if thief come your house bail you up, rub you blind finish you go wait for a COURT OF COMPETENT JURISDICTION before you shout thief when you get the opportunity... That Kanu started something in the most crudest (if I may say)way ever, if nothing, his actions have led to death of his people, he started an anarchy in his own land and you want to wait for a court to declare he is a terrorist? Tell me is there any difference in the way terrorist indoctrinate people from how Kanu indoctrinated his followers? IPOB don't know yet that they are terrorists.. they better wake up... As I Said before Igbos should learn Nigerian politics, I know Igbos to be smart even to a fault, sometimes they become smarter than themselves, but there is more that can be done, if they claim to be so Good then try and beat the so called zoo at their game, don't Chicken out.. |

That Quranic verse was created for the Jews not for Muslims, Action always speak louder than words if the Quran doesn't command killing of non muslims, then why is it that over 98% of killings world wide today is being perpetrated by muslims... Why... something is fundamentally wrong somewhere or right in some other places " if you know what I mean" |

Yusuf54: ...During the life time of Jesus Christ on earth,The Only Religion that was Practiced in His life tym was JUDAISM,Christianity came into existence 30years after Jesus had been raised to Heaven...Moses and Malachi Prophecied the coming of Jesus as a Prophet of God But when he started his Ministry at the age of 30,In MATTHEW 16 VS 20,He commanded his disciples not to tell anyone that He is the Christ which means Messiah Becos he knew some People would tried to eliminate him,and Jesus didn't even know that Some Jews had already knew he was the said Prophet of God Prophecied by Moses according to JOHN 6 VS 14-15,But the JEWS didn't accept Jesus as a Prophet of God becos they believed that Prophecy can only exist in Israel when the land is Inhabited by majority of the world Jews, and in Deuteronomy 13 vs 1-5,WHICH SAYS IF A PROPHET ARISES AMONG YOU AND GIVE YOU A SIGN OR A WONDER LIKE JESUS DID AND THE SIGN OR WONDER WHICH HE TELLS YOU COMES TO PASS,YOU SHALL NOT LISTEN TO THE WORDS OF THAT PROPHET,BUT THAT PROPHET SHALL BE PUT TO DEATH....old testament was written before the existence of Jesus while new testament was written after Jesus had rised to heaven KAI SHARAP THEIR CONFUSIONIST... Deut 13 vs 1 - 5 13 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, 2 and the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; 3 thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the Lord your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. 5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the Lord your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the Lord thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee. |

wetin concern court and religious beliefs, provided the law is not contravened. By the way let him choke on this... Some Bible Verses that say “Jesus is God” Some people claim to believe that Jesus was a “good prophet”, but they deny that Jesus is God. If that is you, I would like to encourage you to consider some of these Bible verses: Matthew 1:23 - “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” Isaiah 9:6 - For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 43:10,11 - “You are My witnesses,” says the Lord, “And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no Savior.” Revelation 1:17-18; Revelation 2:8 - (Jesus is the First and the Last) Isaiah 44:6 - (God is the Redeemer) 2 Peter 1:1 (Jesus is the Redeemer) - “To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ” Isaiah 44:24 - (God created the world by Himself alone) John 1:3; Colossians 1:16 - (Jesus made all things) John 1:1-3 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made... 1:14 - And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, John 5:17,18 - “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.” Therefore the Jews sought to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God. John 5:23 - that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. John 8:24 - “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I AM [He], you will die in your sins.” John 8:58 - Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” John 10:30-33 - Jesus answered them, “I and My Father are one.” Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, “Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?” The Jews answered Him, saying, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.” John 14:6-7 - Jesus said to him, “I AM the way, the truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:9-11 - Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?” John 20:28 - And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” Acts 4:12 - “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 20:28 - (God purchased us with His own blood) Revelation 1:5-6; Revelation 5:8-9 - (Jesus' blood purchased us) Philippians 2:5-7 - Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bond-servant, and coming in the likeness of men. Colossians 2:9 - For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily 1 Timothy 3:16 - And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory. Titus 2:13 - looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ Hebrews 1:8-9 - But to the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions.” 2 John 1:7 - For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Revelation 1:8 - “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 22:13 - “I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”... 22:16 - “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches.” 1 Timothy 6:14-16 - “our Lord Jesus Christ's appearing, which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.” Hebrews 2:17-18 - “Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.” Hebrews 4:15-16 - “For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” 1 Peter 2:24 - “who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we having died to sins, might live for righteousness - by whose stripes you were healed.” He went from sovereignty to shame and from deity to death? Why!? For you. John 15:13 - “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends.” Romans 5:8 - “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for http://bugman123.com/Bible/JesusIsGod.html |

As the OP have clearly stated so is it, he 've made references to the appropriate scriptures an I stand with it... We (Christians) love you and don't want you to die in your sins, Christ love you more and knew that this day would come so he went ahead on the direction of his father and our Father God himself, to pay the ultimate sacrifice and died and bleed for you and I, he is risen and is continually praying to his father for you to be saved from the strangle hold of the devil. Hell is the devil's abode, if you sin the devil is your father, if you die in that sin, hell becomes your abode, but if you repent, God is willing and happy to accept you... don't miss out its only once you get to live... So Homosexuals repent, homosexuality is a lie from the devil to deceive you that you're attracted to same sex.. go for deliverance and cast your eyes upon Jesus, focus on other profitable ventures you'll soon overcome that lie.... it's a sin it's not natural... do away with it as fast as possible, if it's your friend or close associate influencing you, cut that relationship fast, don't care whether his/her feelings will be hurt cut it, if he/she really loves you they would draw you closer to God not introducing rubbish to you, they are canal and a canal man is an enemy of God...run away from them... nothing do you... Remember it's God's will for everyone to repent and be saved... Moses told the children of Israel " I place before you Life and Death, choose Life that you may live" my people choose Jesus... Shun Homosexuality, Homosexuals, and any other sin for that matter, God's grace is much much more sufficient or us, by faith we will make heaven, it's a do or die thing... heaven or nothing... God help us... |

RosaConsidine: @first bolded - if Christianity is truly God's, shouldn't it be only him that determines who is truly a Christian or not, and not we human beings? Here's an analogy: imagine a lecturer and his students. Who decides if a student is registered for a course - the lecturer or the other students? The fact is even if all the students say a particular student is not registered for the course, if the lecturer says the student is indeed registered, then that's all that matters. Even if you've never seen the student in class for one day, all it takes is for the lecturer to say - this student is registered for this course and everyone else's opinions go out the window. So why don't you leave the lecturer, in this case God, to determine who his students are, in this case true Christians. firstly, A Christian is one who was introduced to the lordship of Christ Jesus as stipulated in the Bible and accepts Christ as his saviour, and learns the ways of Christ and follows all as stipulated in the bible... the walk of the Christian is guided by the Bible and going further by the Holy spirit... Now how can I say I am a Christian? Again the Bible stated it clearly that it's by Faith... for without Faith it is impossible to please God or to even be part of his family... (So that your student and lecturer analogy doesn't hold... ) the key is faith and absolute surrenderedness... Love is what we preach as christians... Homosexuality and all the other sins are stated as things that would separate a man from God in the bible... so a christians duty is to let the world know... 1. That Christ loved them, and God magnanimously sent Christ his only begotten son to die and shed his blood as a sacrifice for removal and forgiveness of our past sin... to sin no more and be part of the Christian fold... 2. To Love as christ loved us and in love teach others on the love of Christ and also teach on What sin is as stipulated in the scriptures and edify/ educate/teach on how to avoid sin and remain in the fold... and also clear any form of confusion brought about by false prophets/teachers/even hardened sinners, so that innocent people who should know the truth are not deceived... Jesus did it in the Bible when preaching, he highlighted the teaching for the scribes and pharisees and how deceitful these people are and called them hippocrites on several occasions... (so if you practice anything outside and against the word of God and try to confuse people about it, as a Christian and follower of Christ I have every right to rebuke you and use strong terms to fervently criticise you and tear down your teaching it is my right as a Christian and I can use it at any time to the glory of God). To those who likes using the " thou shall not judge line" to tie the hand of a Christian you are wrong... to Judge means to convict and condemn... it's a full package... but to point out ones wrong in love so that the person won't fall into the hands of the devil is what we do as a Christian( it's a far cry from judging), its not out of place to even let the person know the repercussions of his actions... it's not judging it's correcting... or in some cases rebuking... it's allowed in the scriptures... |
