@Op, please don't just quote a verse of the scripture and draw up a conclusion, I advise even that particular scripture you should refer to other versions of Bible like New Living Translation, NIV, Message etc and above all ask the Holy Spirit to give you understanding. Mathew 11 shows how John the Baptist was put in prision for correcting Herod, and Christ actually testified of the personality of who John was and also reflected how the Kingdom of God is being attacked violently and only the violent/resolute/aggressive christian can make impact (John 11:12). Have asked yourself why on the eve of Christ arrest and crucifixion while he was praying in the garden of Gethsemane, His sweat was like blood? Do you think, someone praying quietly will be sweating and His sweat will be like blood?

Concerning the Tithe tingy, lemme say it well!

Who are those who should receive tithes? Levites right? Who are the Levite's? A Tribe in Israel that God didn't give any land sharing right? Is there any Levite today? How come the only place the reference is Malachi 3:10 and it specifically referring to these category he didn't give a land portion to? Also, how come them Paul, Jesus, Peter and all didn't even mention paying tithes or something?

Yeah this is the verse that inspired the aggressive prayer pattern of MFM and it's clearly wrongly interpreted. That is apart from the fact that it goes against Jesus Christ's clear teachings on praying. I once pointed it out to an MFM member who is a friend showing her clear evidence from scriptures that their prayer pattern is wrong, even though she acknowledged the facts I showed her from the bible, she found it difficult to go against her church doctrine on the matter leading me to conclude people are more swayed by what their pastors say rather than what the bible says.

On the issue of tithes, forget it. Even if Jesus Christ were to miraculously appear to whole world and ban church collection of tithes, some pastors will deny/reject him and continue collecting their tithes.

God bless you for this insight sir. D spirit of error has really been at work dis days. Another example of a scriptural verse that has been taken out of context is in d book of Isaiah where d Bible says "in d year that king uziah died". After quoting dis portion dey will then lead d congregation to pray that every king uziah in their life should die .
There is a difference between the kingdom of God and the Kingdom of heaven. The kingdom of heaven is a place, the kingdom of God is God's government over all His creation. It was John d Baptist that started preaching about the kingdom of God and Jesus Christ continued and brought it to pass. D Kingdom of God is alife amongs us today and it requires a conscious concerted effort to enter into it..
As for payment of tithes, I wonder y u will say it is unscriptural.

When I see young people claim to be atheists or something of sort, I do not blame them but blame those preachers who have decided to be teaching is heresy and nothing more.

As I was reading through Nairaland beginning from 1:20pm on my newly acquired Tecno Phantom 5, I observed that many people have misrepresented the scriptures as penned down in Mathew 11:12

Let's see what the scriptures indeed say about it.

Mathew 11:12

KJV:And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.


The truth about this verse is simple; it does talk about aggressiveness or violence but it does not in any way talk about it in prayers as we have been told by most preachers.

The verse talks about how many from time past have been violent in preaching the message of the Kingdom of God and not even of Heaven o as some may conclude! The verse talks about how we as CHRISTIANS are supposed to be spread the message of living in the Kingdom of God where Jesus is the King in charge of all affairs.

The verse has been so misquoted that it is the first thing preachers use when they want to tell you to SHOUT, SCREAM, ROAR with NOISE before God hears you meanwhile the Bible has already stated why God doesn't hear people at times (SIN).

It is therefore imperative that we come to terms about God not being influenced by anyone's loud prayers or screams or shouts PR aggressiveness during prayers! It is unscriptural just like paying tithes to a pastor is for members of the Kingdom of God.

I was shocked by my niece question who turned 21 yesterday. As we we were celebrating her birthday, she was told to ask any question that bothers her most about relationship to her friends. To my greatest surprise, she raised a storming question that no man and woman was able to give convincing answer.

For the past 4 days, shites members are having a peaceful protest in Gombe state now against the massacre and and genocide of there fellows in Zaria, Kaduna state.
the protesters are wielding placards like #free zakzaky, #stop killing Muslim brothers etc. some of the protesters are using red paints to write free zakzaky on walls and on main road.
I can't spot any police, mopol or soldiers moving with them, upon that, they are peaceful. no looting no riot.

I have heard many stories about how some guys self inflict humiliation by engaging in randy and disgraceful sexual acts in public. They were all stories until I saw it with my own eyes.

Let me share one of the stories.
A lady friend of mine joined a bus from Oshogbo to Ilesha in Osun state. She sat at the front seat close to the engine. There was this guy who was begging the bus conductor to allow him sit on the engine because he could not afford the full transport fare.

So he sat facing mi-lady, meaning, they sat with their legs interwoven. On the way, the lady noticed something warm and fleshy rubbing her tight occasionally. The feeling was faint so she was not giving attention to it. Also coupled with the hot radiation coming from the engine, she was unmoved.

Suddenly she felt something sticky warm liquid rolling down from her tight to her leg. She touched it and lo and behold it was slimy liquid like nose discharge.

She quickly sensed the writing on the wall and raised alarm. The bus stopped and the guy was told to get out of the bus to assess the situation. The guy knew what he was getting into. Immediately he got out of the bus, he ran away.

All the while he was rubbing her with his d***ck, he was looking somewhere else, innocently as if nothing is happening, that she hardly suspected any foul play.

My experience
Last week Tuesday, I joined a bus from Oshodi to Ikotun, I sat beside a guy who was with a back pack. Along the way I noticed the guy was doing as if he is in pain. He was constantly patting his stomach (I initially thought). He was looking uncomfortable that his eyeball dilating. I was concerned.

I noticed he covered his laps with his back pack. It came to a point that he was carried away in whatever he was doing. I was concerned and felt sorry for him, so, I decided to peep and look at what he was stroking and patting on his lap. I was shocked by what I saw.

The guy was masturbating, stroking is pinnis. I was disappointed, felt betrayed upon all my emotional concerns. To my surprise, I wasn’t the only one looking; a lady at the back knew and kept quiet. I looked around to see who is seeing what I was seeing. My eyes caught hers, she just shake her head in pity.

Suddenly the guy freeze like one who is electrocuted. I knew he has delivered his payload. I just told him, you need spiritual help. Everyone just busted out. So everyone knew, but kept quiet.

This was a supposed pastor trying to take advvantage of my weakness.

A year later in 2013 met another dude.It didnt last up to six months before we broke up due to our numerous differences.he also didnt make a commitment, the major thing was that we liked ourselves.It took me a long time to get time over him.fast forward to this year met a very funny and inteeligent guy.we met on an online socialnetworking site.he is in his 30's and he seemed just like my perfect man. There was this connection I had with him and we could talk about anything at anytime.snooped on his social media accounts and I didnt see any signs of a lady or girlfriend so I felt the coast was clear.Only for me to ask him one day and he says he is in a relationship,even showed me her photo.I had already started having feelings for him, it was hard to turn back.We were so attracted to each other and it was to hard to resist him even though I knew he just wanted sex from me.Dude travels out and isnt communicating like before, even though he told me his gf is in nigeria but I wasn't convinced.

Our major fallout was when on my birthday I didnt get message fro him until a day later, I decided to send a nasty message to him saying he was just after my body and all.Dude gets angry, I started apologising almost immediately, this happed in October.he just reads my messages doesnt reply doesnt pick my calls.Since the incident happend, I havent been myself, I have never begged or apologised to any one like this in my life, I have cried almost everyday for the past two months, I cant concentrate at work.He recently came back but didn't tell me but I found out on my own.Went to his house a few days ago unannounced just to apologize, He got more angry in the process saying he warned not to come without telling him.He said he has forgiven me and also apologized for leading on but ended up saying he has issues with people that dont trust him.The worst part is he knows I love him so he is doing this to hurt me more.

I just cant get him out of my mind, I think about him everyday, I am in a dilemma.we never had sex, we just kissed and touched so I dont understand what is going on. I still sent him msgs yesterday but he just read them and didnt reply.I have uninstalled my whatsapp because of him so I cant send him msgs.At this point, I am fed up, I don't why love treats me like this. I need your advice asap .
