Pele10:Ethiopia has had a long bilateral relationship with Russia dating back to 1898. China needs Russia to counter the West if shit hits the fan. India needs Russia to mediate between it and China should a full -scale war arising from its border disputes with China ever happens. Pakistan and Russia have established diplomatic relations in 1948. In recent times Beijing is playing a key role in bringing Russia and Pakistan together since it thinks that these regional countries can make a formidable force to deal with regional and international challenges. In essence, them Pakis follow the carrot because they’re heavily indebted to China. And Belarus is just an extension of Russia. It’s all about quid pro quo ! |
victorv12:So Russian not colonizing Africa gives her the impetus to commit unspeakable atrocities in Ukraine? Didn’t Russia invade Georgia? Chechnya, Crimea? How about Russia’s interference in the affairs of countries from the former Soviet Union? Have you seen the destruction in most parts of Ukraine? In my opinion, from the photos emanating from Ukraine, and the stories of deaths there, it is safe to say Russia and America are on the same boat. |
Putin is already eating his own. Abramovich and other oligarchs who have somewhat criticized the Russian invasion of Ukraine should start watching their backs because Putin is a psychopath and sociopath! |
Asswipemod:We do have, and so do other people. There’s so much more to black Africa and Africans than all the bunkum foreign media portray us as. Do you seriously think there’s no poverty in China? There’s homelessness and drug addiction problems in America, but America isn’t defined by those problems. Wake up, man! |
Anieke77:I’m sorry I didn’t catch you. |
He and his accomplices should rot in jail. Way to go, Rwanda! No foreigner can attempt (not to mention commit) such nonsense in China without being dragged to hell and back by the police. The average Chinese has little or no regards for black people because they’ve been conditioned to believe that black Africans are inferior beings ravaged by wars, hunger, drought, diseases and all negative vices one can conjure. I speak from a place of physical experience. If Africans are not vigilant, the next colonization of black Africa would be subtle yet brutal. But if Africans can bargain shrewdly at the negotiation table with the Chinese, the Sino-African partnership would be a win-win one. |
There are too many dumb people on Nairaland! Some would read without comprehending what they’ve read. Others won’t even bother to read but would be amongst the first to comment on a piece they didn’t read in the first place. Just too many harebrained people! America receives a significant number of refugees yearly. That’s something to ponder on! |
The agent of destabilization has spoken! Buhari, the sympathizer of terrorists! Abeg, Buhari is a comedian! Country wey Buhari don spoil finish. Abegi! ![]() |
Beime:Careful? For telling the truth or what? Utter rubbish! |
HitSong:Nigerians screaming “Petrodollar” must end is amusing. At present, Nigeria is not important in the grand scheme of things. Goodness me! PetroDollar! PetrolYuan! Where’s PetrolNaira? Nigeria wey never fit provide stable electricity since independence! Abegi! |
The word simp has become a trite adjective when referring to Will Smith. Will and Jada were rumoured to be in an open relationship where both parties could sleep with whoever they wanted. By the terms of their relationship, Will must have been discreetly getting some pu.ssy, too. Honestly, I feel bad for Will because he’s a great man, a fine actor and an overall nice guy. I hope he weathers this huge storm he’s found himself in. Come on, Will Smith! |
Dreadlock69:No! Them dey watch am like TV! |
Na my leg show.

Well done to the Op, and everyone who’s contributing positively to this thread. Let’s keep learning! |
gidgiddy:Protests can be done peacefully. My only concern is that some silly, shortsighted and selfish Nigerians would be used by the government to sabotage the protests. Nigerians should docile while the country implodes on itself. |
The killings will go on until Nigerians take to the streets to demand accountability from our leaders. Ranting online will not move Buhari and his bandwagon on terrorist sympathizers and financiers. Take to the streets! |
Does one fight his brothers? Next story, joor! |
Is Tinubu the best (that) Nigeria can offer in a country with some of the most educated, and talented people globally? I guess it is what it is! |
Dearlord:Thanks. We move! All the best to you, and your loved ones. |
Dearlord:My deepest condolences to you and your family! I know that pain; it’s deep! I felt it a year and half ago when my mom passed. I couldn’t attend her funeral because of Covid travel restrictions. |
Such wanton and reckless spending can happen only in a country where the wealth generated in some regions are shared to all regions of the country- even to regions that contribute very little to the national coffers. Governors are allocated billions of Naira monthly to spend at their discretion with little or no accountability. Were Nigeria not designed to favour some regions at the detriment of others, every regions would have been empowered by the constitution to use a vast amount their resources to develop themselves. Nigeria is a messed up, twisted country! |
Zelensky is a hundred times better than the mannequin we call our president. |
Don Baba should hit the gym cos it’s not easy carrying all that fat around especially that huge belly! |
Bluntemperor:Find whatever you’re good at, hone it, and in due time that skill would be putting food on your table, clothes on your back and a roof over your head. |
Wizzy being nominated for a Grammy is a win in itself cos it shows his works are recognized and also worthy of being counted amongst the best of the best in his music genre. Here’s wishing him all the best. |
ADAMUdaCOWBOY:Absolutely! Lazy folks always trying to stir up beef between two of Nigeria’s finest musicians, and arguing sillily over the two gentlemen who are up and about their legit businesses. |
It’s a shame what every sector in Nigeria has become! From the port authorities, airports, sports, down to religious bodies, all are nothing but thieves Nigeria has become a byword for corruption and evil. |
I won’t be surprised if it is true! Nigeria has gone to the dogs! |
Good for them. Creativity pays ! |
