The persistent decline in the ability of Nigerian children (home and abroad) to speak native Nigerian languages fluently is a national challenge.

Statistics from UNESCO reveal that over 200 languages have become extinct over the last three generations; nine of these are Nigerian. Iyin-Creative has decided to do something about it and will be launching the Anilingo(short for animated language learning) DVD a new fun learning resources for native Nigerian languages. The event will hold on the 28th of November at the TerraKulture by 1:30pm. the entire public is invited.

congrats and big thanks to all the organizers, participants, winners and spectators. really learnt a few things from this challenge and how not to work if i were to do something like this again. pretty much a win win for me looks like i am about to be redeemed this weekend after last was spent working on this. thanks again everyone.

as it stands. will see if i can quickly texture and submit in time. should'nt have left it so late .

been super busy but its friday night and am back to my entry. hope i can finish by the end of tomorrow. .
its taking more time because i didnt like my first tests so i decided to break up the symmetry and do each side separate.

ok i noticed we are just a few days away from the end and dug deep to come up with something after work. there is no time to models traditionally in max so im starting in zbrush. i used to use z speres and s sketching a lot to make base models but this time i experimenting with dynamesh. (have been off 3d for a long time and quite rusty) i started from a sphere and worked my way to try and establish the form, volume and stance of the concept. the details at this stage were just to help me with the form as i still z remeshed everything to have a more workable topology. i plan to take it to max and work on some loops and edges before doing additional work and final detailing in zbrush. if i have time im going back to max to render. i dont think i will even bother model fingers ill just sculpt and texture the fist clenched and add loops where i need to.

Hi guys. Might sound like a cheap excuse but trust me I'm just recovering from a near fatal typhoid attack. Wasn't made any better by the first doctor who despite my suggestion of typhoid went on to treat me for malaria. Took another test when I kept getting worse and have been responding to treatment since. I had 2 be picked up by my family so I didn't get my computer and tablet with me and I'm currently out of abuja(my work base). I guess I won't make it but if there's time ill still try even after the challenge closes.

depending on how busy my schedule gets. i might give it a shot this weekend. i plan to use 3ds max and zbrush for extra details.
