The coordinated attacks by Boko Haram militants on Dalori town, outskirts of Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, yesterday, have left many residents in disarray -with many fleeing the region. Many of the villagers were killed and injured by the insurgents who took the quiet village by surprise at about 7pm on Saturday (yesterday). It's just so quite unfortunate that at this moment of the new year when the hustle is just starting to become real, a man losing millions of naira in this manner. According to reports, a Lagos businessman lost millions of naira after fire engulfed his wooden safe and burnt all his savings to ashes. Pictured are the remains of his money from the burnt safe.

The Minister of Environment -Amina Mohammed demonstrated leadership during a sensitization event today to mark the first sanitation of the year. The minister drove a bulldozer to clear dirt in Kuje area of Abuja to prove her point on keeping the environment clean. The event was headed by the minister in conjunction with the Hon. Minister of the FCT -Muhammad Bello and Hon. Minister of Health -Professor Isaac Adewole.

Following the recent ‪bomb‬ blast at Gombi local Government area of Adamawa state, the National Emergency Management Agency ‪‎NEMA‬ has recorded 56 casualties, 9 dead and 24 people currently receiving treatment in different hospitals across the state. The explosion accorded after a boy on Friday detonated a suicide vest at a crowded market in Gombi town -killing scores and injuring others in the process.

Radio Biafra director and leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has arrived the Federal High Court Abuja for consideration of his bail application.

Kanu was earlier arraigned Kanu before Justice Ahmed Mohammed of the same court by the Department of State Service, DSS, on a six count charge of treasonable felony, but Kanu had expressed his reservation for the Judge, saying he has no confidence in him.

Following his vote of no confidence on thejudge, the matter was transferred to Justice John Tsoho who adjourned the matter till today for ruling on Kanu’s bail application.

This is quite unfortunate...the level of insecurity in the country. This tragic story and gruesome pictures where shared on Facebook by a concerned Nigerian who highlighted what the horrific ordeal an armed robbery victim passed through. See below;

This is a very touching story, please viewers discretion! This lady, Mrs Glory Uzoh moved from Lagos to Abuja with her two adopted children. Unfortunately armed robbers raided her estate, they went from door to door and killed some of the residents. Her neighbour who was four month pregnant after eight years of waiting was killed, the deceased's husband was badly injured and his legs were amputated. Mrs Glory was shot severally and left for dead but eventually survived through the grace of God.
