As for the fast moving produts, i am considering kidies like toys. i remember how one popcorn company started adding different colours of wistle inside the popcorn package, the kids went crazy, they will worry their parents till they get it for them. I rep Ph town. |

It is no longer news that Nigeria must diversify its economy or be doomed.Nigeria is known for its wealth in raw materials and minerals, but only 46.7% of raw materials are sourced within the country according to Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Renaissance Capital reports that manufacturing has become major economic driver, as it was witnessing growth which surpassed those of oil and gas, telecommunication and agriculture. Part of the decline in manufacturing in sector in recent time among other factor is poor quality of raw materials and insufficient supply of them within the country. This thread is primarily for those who wants to go into or are into the business of sourcing raw material for manufactures and industries to share their experiences, connect and guide newbies into this expedition. Let the ship set sail! P.S. lets try as much as possible to keep the discussion within this thread for the benefit of all. |
very interesting post op. for renewable energy storage: I have been tinkering on that but never knew some company was already working on the Concept. This basically involves storing solar, wind or both energies in form of compressed air. The energy generated from let say solar panels will power a compression pump that will store a compressed air at high pressure in an air tight tank. The energy can then be converted back to electricity by using it to power turbine anytime. Who ever crack that technology efficiently and cost effectively is going to watch liquid cash flow to his bank account. I really wish I had my own little lab/workshop where I could be running this test and experiments. Op for that change(balance) issue. printing and selling bus/cab tickets that is accepted by bus/cab drivers throughout a state might work. A passenger can buy for example 500 naira worth of ticket that is segmented in 50 50 naira or 20 20 naira so that in each scenario the passenger can always tear out any amount of bus fair and pay. The key to it success is making it counterfeit proof and also printing it cheaply. You dont want to spend 400 naira in printing 500 bus ticket ![]() Anyway that my own little thought. what do you guys think? |
Candles. Candle production. Requires average technical skill, locally available raw material, and a good market size. Are you good to go? |
Rest in peace Legend. My Mother said I danced to the music like hell on my one year BD. Thanks for bringing Nkanu and Amodu community into the lime light. We are from the same community : Amodu in Nkanu West Local government. His hill top Mansion has been an edifice till today. RIP |
If given one minute and one question to as in the world of the dead, I will love to speak to my mother, I will ask her why I have not personally heard from her since she left. I will spend the remaining seconds hugging her like my life depends on it. |
Good day and a very warm complement of the season to all. I really don't want to start with a "Thank you" cause that will amount to a gross under estimation of the gains of this thread for me, perhaps the OP has a grossly over loaded busload of "thank you" in its different shades. I have been digesting this thread from 0-22 for about 4 day or so. I have a science/engineer orientation so it was a little bit left handed for me initially, but the way karin expressed and exhausted each concept was mesmerizing especially the concept of "little win". Am like " wow how is it that I am understanding these things". I hope Harvard or one of those Ivy League schools don't whisk you away when they see this thread. The less obvious gain in some all these overlooked FMCG around us, the importance of exclusivity to an area, the gains of starting small no matter how tempting it is to over shoot from the beginning, especially for newbies and the concept of scaling up; both vertical and horizontal are among the many gains of this thread for me. The experienced you shared on visiting one of the manufactures was quite interesting. I believe the exponential rise in the cost of raw material mitigated to some extent. Out bigger Ogas can take a cue from this: Register and get a "Form A" or so for buying raw material used in local production at CBN rates and sell the eagerly awaiting producers. Hope to implement a "timed email" system so you can post an equivalence of your email address that expires at a selected time(like 48hr after you post it), so at least the very zealous ones can reach you without blowing your privacy or being bombarded with mails. I believe our experiences is whats going to propel this thread further. Please share, the good, ugly, bad and best experiences, those might be the missing electron a lad needs to react. Thanks all. and than you ad infinitum Karin. |
biggal:My dear I have beenthinking of such. Yes you can . I leave close to railwaystation |
wealth360:Thanks man, I will work on the admission first. |
Good day guys, I cant begin to say how much I have benefited from the knowledge and information on this thread. God bless you guys forever. Please does any one know of any school that accept 2.8 CGP(the conversion into Canadian grade is still not clear to me) into Masters in Engineering/Technology courses. I would have applied for PGC but the odds are a little bit against me: an informal job experiences(no pay slip or employment letter)and no travel experience but my sponsor(brother) have sufficient finance to cover any program. |
zoey17:Really, please what is form A, am about to apply but have not yet served too. |
expertix:Thanks. So what about you. whats your portfolio like and what are your experiences. |
expertix:I see. I just bought my third domain and parked it at bodis. I will work and follow up on that till it sells. I have noticed that "dotio" domain are trendy now especially for startups and tech companies. The trends and intricacies are interesting. After my payout, i will invest in expired domains. |
@expertix: Thanks alot for your input i really appreciate. I want to have three domains for a start. I am considering buying one expired domains from expaireddomaindotnet but I want to thread with care, expired domain profitability is no that clear to me. Secondly since Trump won the election, am thinking key words like rough, immigration, visa, travel, boarder etc may be a good word for forming domain name. |
Thanks op for guiding us. I just listed slimfitsdotcom and whitecolarjobs on afternics and flippa. |
It was actually a marketing position and not the Computer Engineer they advertised. It was not awesome but just OK. Am not really sure I want the positions anymore. |
No they don't offer free hosting at all. It is the CMS(the software) that is free |
johnshagb:I got invited, anyone else? |
lofty900:How can you be happy for such man. This was someones son, someone's nephew a brother to someone. He had dreams and hope you know. Stealing is wrong. But to lose your lif by electrocution because of stealing a transformer is really sad. You should pray for him, we all should and hope that that others learn from this ugly indecent. |
I have always been inquisitive as to how the posting algorithm works. I see some sense in your analysis only if we can see the source code. But most people say they got their 3rd choice. |
Nice write up. U ladies definitely dig month action more than penetration. But you have to be carefully before you go and bite somebodies daughter in the varjina |
snrman:Yeah you guys are rationally stingy |
INTROVERT:I totally concur with you. Aggressive education and enlightenment is the key, even at the mosques.it takes maturity and suppression of instincts to see thing from your prospective. The boy probably lacks the cognitive capacity to comprehend gravity of what he intends doing. And by the way reseach has show that capital punishing has in no way detered crime. |
fxbomovi:Please guid me. ogbonnajay@gmail.com |
PromiseUche:Am in too studied Electronic and Computer. |
