According to neighbours, Ngozi's husband hit their daughter’s head with the chain while she was trying to stop him from beating her mother.

Woman with incredible 52.8-inch legs says she loves showing them off in shorts and high heels despite her 6ft9 height.

Rentsenkhorloo ‘Ren’ Bud, who was born in Mongolia and now lives in Chicago, is believed to have one of the longest sets of legs in the world and insists she isn’t afraid to show them off.

The 29-year-old comes from a tall family, with her father reaching 6ft 10in and her mother a slender 6ft 1in – but still struggled adapting to her height during her younger years.

Women have been warned to stop removing their pubic hair to avoid being susceptible to diseases.

A gynaecologist has urged women not to remove their pubic hair.

Dr Jen Gunter, author of The Vagina Bible, warned against waxing or shaving because it can cause “microscopic trauma” that can lead to infections.

While the purpose of pubic hair is somewhat of a mystery, going “au naturel” is necessary to protect the skin by acting as a barrier against the outside world.

Getting a Brazilian may also reduce sexual pleasure, with pubic hair being connected to nerve endings that might help arousal, Dr Gunter added.

Pubic hair “grooming” has almost become the norm, with many blaming the porn industry.

Scientists from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), asked more than 3,300 women about their downstairs grooming.

Of which, 83.8% claimed to wax, shave or epilate their pubic hair, with just 16.2% leaving it intact.

“Hygiene” was the most commonly reported reason (59%) for women removing their hair.

But Dr Gunter warns waxing, shaving or “sugaring” – mixing sugar, lemon juice and water to create a wax-like gel – may do more harm than good.

A 98-year-old female, the oldest COVID-19 patient in Lagos, has been discharged from one of the isolation centres in the state.

Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos, made the announcement via a tweet on Wednesday night.

She was one of the 26 patients discharged in Lagos on Wednesday, after testing negative twice for COVID-19.

“TODAY, WE DISCHARGED A 98 YEAR OLD WOMAN, OUR OLDEST #COVID19 PATIENT IN LAGOS. SHE JOINED 25 OTHERS; 13 MALES AND 12 FEMALES, DISCHARGED FROM OUR ISOLATION CENTRES AFTER TESTING NEGATIVE FOR #COVID19, BRINGING THE TOTAL OF OUR SUCCESSFULLY MANAGED AND DISCHARGED PATIENTS TO 528,”

A railway ticket office worker has died with coronavirus after being spat at by a man who claimed he had Covid-19.

Belly Mujinga, 47, who had underlying respiratory problems, was working at Victoria station in London in March when she was assaulted, along with a female colleague.

Within days of the incident, both women fell ill with the virus.

British Transport Police said an inquiry had been launched to trace the man who spat at the pair.

Mrs Mujinga was on the concourse of Victoria station on 22 March when she was approached by the suspect.

Her husband Lusamba Gode Katalay said the man had asked his wife what she was doing and why she was there.

“She told him she was working and the man said he had the virus and spat on her,” he added.

Mrs Mujinga was admitted to Barnet Hospital on 2 April and was put on a ventilator. But she died three days later, the Transport Salaried Staffs Association (TSSA), said.

The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria has called out President Buhari for ordering the importation of COVID19 herbal syrup from Madagascar

The umbrella body of Nigerian pharmacists has kicked against plans by the Federal government to import the COVID-19 syrup being produced in Madagascar for the treatment of patients with the viral disease here in Nigeria.

President Buhari has given a directive for the importation of the herbal syrup.

In a statement released by its president, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa today May 12, the umbrella body of Nigerian pharmacists said it received with utter disbelief the news of the planned importation of the herbal syrup.

Ohuabunwa said the society is shocked that the Federal government can move swiftly to collect such syrup from an African country that boasts of fewer scientists when they have consistently ignored calls to carry out a clinical evaluation for the drugs some Nigerian pharmacists claim they have developed as a cure for the ravaging viral disease.

Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has insisted that the demolition of hotels in the state for flouting the lockdown order were done in line with extant laws.

Speaking in a statewide broadcast, the governor said he decided to demolish the hotels after one of the owners of the hotel unleashed thugs on members of the state COVID-19 taskforce.

“We acted against the hotelier because, apart from using the facility to jeopardize the lives of our citizens in violation of the extant law, the owner audaciously unleashed thugs led by the Eleme Local Government Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and inflicted severe injuries on our task force members who went to enforce the law against the continued operation of the hotel.

As we speak, nobody knows the fate of the lives of most of the victims of that brazen and deadly attack given the severity of the head injuries they sustained.

And so, we’ve done no wrong as all our actions were taken in good faith and justified by, under and within the purview of the Executive Orders, which have neither been challenged nor set aside by any competent court of law.”

He also responded to the backlash he has received following his action.

“While we welcome genuine criticisms directed towards strengthening our intervention measures, it is no use taking issues with uninformed critics and social media legal practitioners who, blinded and prodded by sheer politics, bias and hatred, have opted to demonize and paint our lawful and responsible actions in bad light.

Granted that we may not have totally achieved our targets, but we are convinced that, so far, the lockdown and the other measures have impacted greatly in containing and preventing the onslaught of the pandemic on Rivers State.

We therefore thank the entire people of Rivers State for the overwhelming understanding you have shown even as you continue to endure the pains of the restrictions on your well-being and fundamental freedoms.”
