Coronavirus can linger in the eyes long after it has cleared from the nose, according to a new case report which sheds further light on possible symptoms.

Italian scientists say the country’s first Covid-19 patient had virus particles in her eyes 27 days after she was admitted to hospital.

Researchers at the National Institute for Infectious Diseases are concerned the infection can make copies of itself in the eyes, after it disappeared only to return days later.

A fleeing Coronavirus suspect, Vincent Prosper has been captured in Abia State, the government revealed on Saturday.

A statement issued by Abia State Commissioner for Information, John Okiyi-Kalu said the COVID-19 medical Rapid Response (RR) Team in the state received information from NCDC national control room on a suspected COVID-19 patient named Vincent Prosper who called them from Abia State to report among other things that he was manifesting symptoms of the virus and recently had contacts with a confirmed patient in neighboring Akwa Ibom state in addition to recently returning from Lagos.

Reality TV star Gifty who caused quite the stir yesterday after announcing she has a year old daughter, shares her child birth experience as she continues to insist that she is not a baby mama.


Moments after Gifty made an Instagram post dedicated to her baby, Mr 2kay also did same with same baby, giving everyone the insinuation he was the father of the baby.

Popular blogger Linda Ikeji has been called out by Nigerians after she opened up about her relationship with baby daddy, Sholaye Jeremi.

Recall that Linda today revealed that Sholaye Jeremi is her son's father but that they do not have any relationship anymore.

During the cause of her revelation, the blogger didn't mention the alleged engagement that her sister Laura had publicized some months back.

Anyone in the industry will tell you how challenging and often mentally draining our work is but I have always loved music and that pure passion is what keeps me going. I, Ifeoluwa, am proud of what I have achieved so far with no regrets at all.

Chelsea and Ivory Coast Football legend Didier Drogba has confirmed his retirement as a player. Drogba posted a picture of him as a youngster on his social media accounts, accompanied by a farewell message.

The 40-year-old scored 164 goals in 381 appearances over two spells with Chelsea, helping them win the Premier League four times and the Champions League in 2012, as well as four FA Cup triumphs and three League Cup victories.
Drogba had been playing this season in the United States with Phoenix Rising, the second-tier club at which he is a co-owner.

He said:

'When I think of the last 20 years of my professional career, looking at this picture can't make me more proud of what I've achieved as a player but most importantly how this journey has shaped me as a man.

American singer Katy Perry who was in ninth position last year beats Beyonce and Taylor Swift  to become 2018 Forbes highest paid female musician.

The business magazine estimates that Perry, 34, earned 83 million dollars in the period spanning June 2017 to June 2018.

According to Forbes, Apart from her music, Katy Perry earned "more than 20 million dollars for her work as a judge on American Idol.” Beyoncé, 37, who was Forbes’ 2017 highest paid woman in music, fell to third place (60 million dollars) as her recent On the Run II tour with husband Jay-Z fell mostly outside of their scoring period.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift, 28, rose from third place in 2017 to second this year (80 million dollars). Many of the dates on the global tour for her sixth album, ‘Reputation’, will count towards the 2019 rankings.

Swift recently left her long-term record label to sign with Republic Records and Universal Music Group, the financial terms of which have not been made public.

This year’s list contains many of the same artists as 2017 including Celine Dion, Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez among them – and one outlier: Russian-German star Helene Fischer, in eighth place.

Meanwhile, there were plenty of female musicians who had lucrative years but didn’t quite make the list.

Among them are Ariana Grande, Mariah Carey, Selena Gomez, Madonna, Halsey and Janet Jackson, all of whom tallied double-digit millions.

Nigerian comedian, Helen Paul comes hard for a troll for daring to say the cream she uses was fake and tried to advertise hers. Helen who says it’s a camera effect, then took her up on the matter.

Ngerian Singer and songwriter, Damini Ogulu, professionally known as Burna Boy, has stated he can go shirtless if he sees someone wearing the same shirt he is wearing at an event.

The Afrofusion artiste revealed this While speaking in an interview with Africa’s Finest, a fashion magazine by Guaranty Trust Bank.

According to TheCable, Burna Boy who admitted that he is already working on his own fashion brand, said; “I try to do what makes me feel like I’m swaggy, it could be a named brand or not. It just has to make me feel good. It just has to be different. 

"For me, if it’s not different, then I don’t feel good,” he responded when asked to describe his style.

“I could go somewhere wearing a shirt, and if I see someone wearing the same shirt, I’ll take it off and just be shirtless!

“I’m working on it as we speak. It’s my ‘merch’ from my tours but the design is really giving out what I would wear. 

"If I were to wear what I’m wearing right now, It would be all Burna Boy, it would be all my design. That’s basically it! It would be my designs on clothes that I like. I’d describe it as ‘Reckless & Sweet’.”

While listing designers he would love to collaborate with, the singer who says his love for comic books inspired his stage name, mentioned Virgil Abloh, Off-white and Louis Vuitton.

Speaking on the inspiration behind his music genre, Burna Boy said: “I had a lot of musical influence growing up, from my grandfather’s highlife and afrobeat collection to my dad who gave me my first reggae CD. That’s why I call my genre Afro-Fusion, it’s a concoction of different elements of sound.”

The nationwide industrial action initially scheduled on Tuesday November 6 by the organised labour union regarding a new national minimum wage for workers has been called off.
