A mother of 5 once confided in me that she loves 3 of her kids more than the other 2, but implored me not to ever reveal it to them. She loves the first child who is female, the third child who is male and the last child also a male. She said she the other two, a boy and a girl are not her favorites, rather the husband loves them more than the aforementioned 3.

I must say I was totally taken aback by the disclosure. I find it really perplexing that parents will have favorites among their kids. I can't imagine loving any of my future kids differently except perchance any of them later proves to be a "black sheep." Other than that I see no reason why I should love any of them less than the other. It's totally preposterous.

He should try and revive his musical career which is experiencing a sharp decline in recent years.

It's obvious you didn't comprehend the post. Iran has been under ecnomic sanctions for all these years. So even though they have that much oil, the sanctions prevented them from selling to buyers.

Iran came under severe economic sanctions only recently, during the tenure of Ahmadinejad. Oil was discovered there very much earlier in the 20th century. What they were doing with the proceeds from the sale of oil before the sanctions came is what eludes me. Countries like UAE and Catar have obviously surpassed them in infrastructural development.

I so much like this guy and would have been happier if he rejected this job. If he performs badly in this job, the kinda criticisms that will be piled on him will be immense. Nigerians love to hate their national team coach. I'll hate to see him sacked.

He was a great player and wonderful football pundit, but that doesn't always translate to being a world-class coach.

there is something you need to understand, english is now a universal language, those countries i mentioned have their language as their primary language but they are also learning english becausd that's what the world understands generally. now buhari's primary language is also not english but he also learnt it as it has now become a neccesity to understand english. now my point is buhari, vladimir putin and kim jong-un primary languages are not english but they have their respective languages but they all have to learn english, so why castigate buhari for having a poor accent?

Well, you can't blame anyone for castigating the old man, cos this is simply appalling. This is the president with the worst accent Nigeria has ever had and it's totally unsettling. People are simply expressing their shock. It is simply shocking that when your president addresses you on TV, you will be struggling to grasp what he's saying. Most people can't make out 80 percent of what he's saying, if you're truthful to yourself you'll concur with that fact.

English is Nigeria's official language and the president must speak intelligible English.

I was actually referring to the period before the sanctions. I thought the sanctions were imposed just recently, specifically during the tenure of the immediate past president Ahmadinejad.

In any case, even with the sanctions they were still able to sell their oil to some countries, most notably China.

I swear the last time I watched Buhari speak was in 2011, I think it was the presidential election debate. I couldn't understand more than 70 percent of what he was saying. His English accent was so horrible. That was one of the reasons I voted for Jonathan that year, cos I couldn't bear the thought of a president who can't speak intelligible English when he goes to UN conference.

I have not yet watched him on TV since then. I'm shocked to read he still speaks that way. This is really awkward. Obama will most definitely need an interpreter when Buhari pays him a visit.

Iran has the third largest oil reserve in the world, yet the country was not nearly as developed as Dubai or Saudi Arabia. I wonder what they spend their money on.

So there are still this much snake in Nigeria? Them plenty o! I suggest they travel to Australia, the home of snakes and go hunting.

After duping the nation and individuals. This is how they larvish the money. Was Coscharis motors not involved in Stella Oduah's controversial vehicle scam? Now we only happen to know abt that cos it was exposed. Do you know how many of those dubious vehicle businesses going on in the firm everyday from govt. ministries, parastatals etc successfully without us hearing?

You should direct your indignation at the government of the day and not at Coscharis. Cosmas Maduka has no case to answer concerning the car purchase scam, after all, he merely sold the car to the ministry of aviation. Every businessman will always want to do business. He did not rob the government with Ak47 gun, he merely carried out the request of the former minister and delivered the vehicle. If you were in his shoes I bet you'll do the same.

Cosmas has been in business for long and made his money before doing biz with the government.

You should direct your anger at the government.
