am considering this Almera 2002 Hback or Almera Tino. my decision is informed by d fact dat 50% of the taxi in d city where I reside (Abeokuta) is Almera. so I beliv it wld b rugged, parts shld b available and resale will b faster. I want some1 to say something abt this decision |

come to think of it, why shld educating children which shld b a social responsibility of govt be tied to dere parent's tax clearance? secondly, so children without parents are out of education equation of Osun state |
a times I want to wonder wat goes on in his(Aregbe's) mind |
Osun pupils protest request for tax clearance Secondary school students in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, on Tuesday staged a protest against the government policy that any student who cannot produce their parents’ tax clearance should not be allowed in school. Students of Osogbo High School trooped out in hundreds and trekked from their school, through Ogo Oluwa area to the Governor’s Office singing anti-government songs. Armed with leaves, the students were joined on the roads to the Governor’s Office by their colleagues in other schools. The Head Boy of Osogbo High School 1, Taiwo Oyewole, said the students were protesting because most of their parents who were government workers had not been paid for months, adding that it was impossible for them (parents) to pay N4,500 for tax clearance. He said there was a directive from the state government that any student who could not produce the clearance should not be allowed in school. The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Mr. Lawrence Oyeniran, when contacted said the directive was given by a body at the Internal Revenue. Oyeniran said, ” Internal revenue gave the directive, but it is a collective decision. We will talk to them to douse the tension.” |

av said it in d other thread. WHAT WE NEED IN NIGERIA IS FUNCTIONAL EDUCATION not this colonial education that we av now |
my broda d problem is dat d structure of our education is bad.imagine parents telling you to go to school and make good grades in order to get a good job...dat is colonial education mentality. education should prepare for life n solving problems but here we end up cramming witout d ability to solving problems. wat we need in Nigeria is a functional education |
