Fellow nairalanders am at a cross road over d career path to take. Am a graduate of English Language and currently work with a federal agency. I wish to proceed to a masters degree but d nature of my job won't give such opportunity. Now am considering going for a professional training in public relations NIPR. I need ur inputs

Your budget can get you good manual car. If you add a bit more money, you may be able to get a tokunbo. I advised\suggeted a manual because it is easier to maintain. You can get a golf 4 or 3 or a mazda or nissan almera with that amount. Check the autos section and shine your eyes very well.

Residents of Rubokya community in Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), were recently thrown into mourning, after a 29-year-old housewife, simply identified as Amarya, drowned in a river in the area.
A relative of the deceased, Ezekiel Peter, said the woman, who was carrying a four months’ pregnancy, was returning from the farm carrying plantain on her back when the incident happened. He said the deceased was about trying to cross a river after a heavy downpour when she slipped and fell into it.
“It was after she got to the river bank and was trying to remove her slippers in order to cross the river that she suddenly slipped into the river with the plantain she was carrying on her back,” he said.
He said that the woman’s corpse was recovered from the river by some fishermen.
Our reporter further learnt that the same river, which links to Gwagwalada, had last year claimed the life of a six-year-old boy.
Meanwhile, four persons are reported to have sustained seriously injuries in a motor accident which occurred on Friday afternoon at Idu village, on the Abuja-Lokoja expressway.
A witness said the accident happened around 3:12 p.m. when a Golf car with registration number LKJ 937 XC crashed into a ditch.
He said the people injured were rescued by men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and taken to a hospital at Gegu town.
Efforts to get the reaction of the Gegu FRSC unit commander, Ahmed Daura, on phone were not successful but an officer at the command confirmed the accident. COPIED FROM DAILY TRUST NEWSPAPER

Read from page one to this page. Might seem a difficult task but you would be better for it to choose which fund manager you will like to get in bed with. For all I see, they are all selling the same wares at almost the same price but with a few differences. I may be choosing FBNCap for the same reason someone is choosing InvestmentOne or ARM or StanBic or whatever else is out there.

I will advice the Money Market Fund if you think you might need your Money in the next one month, if not you can choose any of the other ones. Please note also that just because the other funds (e.g. Fixed Income Fund, Heritage Fund...) may have a much higher "Holding Period", it doesn't mean you cannot collect your money in less than 90days or whatever their holding period is...it just means you lose some part of the profit made, your capital will be intact. More like paying a fine for cashing out earlier than agreed.
