Emeka Offor?

The guy is definitely not serious ... Now that he has seen competition in Geometric, he's trying to act reasonable

Where was he all these years throwing Imo state into darkness with his distribution company... One of the worst mistakes of Jonathan was selling a DC to this man

Kudos to him for that

Mumu how many buildings can you vouch for when it comes to structural integrity when you know that any rich mugu can just bribe his way through the whole process. sadly you should be the one doing that critical thinking before opening your dirty trap

Most of the inspections are not even done... Just pay your money and you'll be issued the receipt, so I wonder what the person is actually talking about

Akpabio didn't..
He has only further exposed himself as a rascal.
Remember the riots ,cars and people that were burnt to death during Akpabio s time as governor fighting with his deputy?
Fubara was brave to have asked such important humanity question.

The rot , killing, suffering u see today in Nigeria are done by the political class.

So in fubara s voice, what is it all about?

Can u tell us what they r for?

Are politicians also causing this type of pains to the masses in western countries?

Seems some people are just dull... They didn't really understand the angle Fubara was coming from... It's surprisingly to see the thought process of an Akpabio... He should have been intelligent enough to understand the governor, I don't want to believe he was that dxxx

Travel / Re: These Pictures Will Make You Miss Owerri by Yampotatocarrot(m): 5:55pm On Mar 09
mandax:

Normally, hospitality industry is akin to facilities and carterers for mostly visitors to a city's manufacturing and service industries.
Hospitality industry in Owerri is nick name for prostitution and pimping.
No visible manufacturing and service industry in Owerri. Seize all govt institutions for Imo state that attract monthly government subventions, for location in Owerri soil, because Owerri is state capital, according to Owerri people, that's Owerri people for us in Imo state
The pimping and prostitution business thrive in Owerri because Owerri no take eye see any government presence anywhere in Imo state outside Owerri.

Although I couldn't understand everything you were saying, but I'll respond to the part I understand.

As much as the hospitality industry drives prostitution and pimping, it's not always akin to such... Obollo-afor has the highest rate of prostitution in Southeast, but Owerri has more hotels than Obollo...

Let the state government just put infrastructures in place, it'll really boost the industry more

If it's hotels with packaging, leave am for Owerri... The hotel hype is now spreading out of Owerri to other local governments in the state also... I give it to them...

If only infrastructural developments were in place to support this budding hospitality economy

is it now that they started exporting to neighbouring countries?

One thing I'm trying to understand, is there now a ban on exportation of foodstuffs?

What of those that export foodstuffs through the airport to developed countries? Those that export through the airports, their foodstuffs should be seized also na

As you rightly said, this exportation has been going on before now, so except there's now a ban on exportation of foodstuffs, it doesn't seem right

The setup of a Rice Mill ?
Or
The Purchasing And Destoning of Local Rice @ Abakaliki ?

What Exactly ?

My Mission For Starting Up This Thread is Actually To Open Up The Untapped Investment Opportunity in The Processing of Our Local Rice.

The Mission is To Start A Rice Mill With Complete Facilities that:

Mills The Rice,

Destone The Rice,

Polish The Rice,

And Bags The Rice.

Yakurr is one of The Highest Producers of Local Rice in This Region, However - The Rice Millers Here Are Only Concerned About Milling The Rice Because They Sell Directly To The Locals Who Take The Time To Sieve Their Rice Before Cooking.

We Can Harness The Power of Being Intellectuals And Business Oriented To Set Up A Rice Mill with Complete Facilities So That We Roll in Business.

Let Me Know What You Mean By "Can You Run It For Someone" ?

I understand the purpose of the thread, but one have to start from somewhere

I meant purchasing and destoning of the rice

Does it not make sense ? Where do you think Buhari got all the huge loan guarantees from? Didn't you notice how desperate Buharis govt was for money and largely unaccounted. Do you know exactly how much we are owing China? Buharis only saving grace is that Tinubu does not want to open his govts heist. Buhari ran a laissez-faire govt where everyone stole to their capacity. So, anything goes then. Reason Emefiele broke all ethics of banking and he was not removed by Buhari.

I was actually thinking you'll drop a link to substantiate the claim... That claim has been regurgitated over and over on this thread, but I can't seem to find an authentic news article to back it up

all these nah lie. This is a way of suffering Nigerians. How come when we don get refinery Nigeria no con get crude to supply. How come united state wey no dey drill crude dey supply country wey get crude oil. Abi this thing no sound funny to you. They moment dangote get refinery I heard Nigeria doesn't have enough crude to supply dangote. Did d govt or dangote let Nigerians know this before dangote started his refinery.

Your last question is what still bothers me... Are they telling us Dangote didn't know that we don't have crude oil to give him when he wanted to start building? As in, with all his connections to people in power, he didn't know there's no crude oil for him?

Before Dangote refinery, government always said the problem was that we didn't have a functional refinery... Now that we have a functional refinery, government is saying there's no crude oil

Something just doesn't feel right

That's Expensive.

And This Presents A Business Opportunity For Those Who Can Take Advantage of It in Lagos Then:

1 Bushel of Local Rice = 25 KG

2 Bushel of Local Rice = 50 KG

We Currently Sell Local Rice @ 53,000 Naira For 2 Bushels of Rice.

You Can Waybill To Lagos For 5,000 Naira Per Bag; And Sell @ 62,000 Naira.

This will give 8,000 Naira Difference.

Wise Rice Merchants Can Take Advantage of This Financial Information.

Information is Power.

I thought I read one of your posts where you said the rice isn't completely destoned, meaning there are stones there... You even suggested in that post that one can buy it, take to Abakaliki to destone

For a rice that still has stones in it, I think it's very expensive at your price

If I may ask, why can't they destone it in Cross River there?

Gerrard59:

For unsuspecting readers, before you begin your japa plans. read through the threads of your interested countries and ask hard questions to know how it is to obtain a student visa, jobs and study there. It is extremely important. This would guide your way through. I was admitted into the University of Tartu, Estonia and with a scholarship, but declined the offer as there was no embassy in Nigeria, and applications had to be made from either Egypt or the UAE (the closest). From the Estonian thread, the total cost was a million naira (before COVID) to travel there and apply for the visa. I declined because the chances of being issued the visa to either Egypt or the UAE (tourist visa o) were low. Rather than spend such, I paid 150K as application fee to apply to another Japanese university.

In summary, Poland is unrealistic as there is almost a zero chance of being issued a student's visa. Polish universities now steer clear from Nigerian students because almost none of the accepted students gets issued a visa.

Abeg,no vex o, which country are you,or are you still in Nigeria?
