Well, the governor was right and wrong at the same time. In Anambra, there are vigilante services. In Onelga Rivers State, the OSPAC security is very effective in checking crime in the area. They it were that smoked out the notorious Don Wanny and gang. These are the handiwork of visionary governors in conjunction with the respective state houses of assembly. They can at least gather intelligence and liaise with NPF and the Army to keep the peace. A Governor is the chief security officer of his state. If the police commissioner isn't cooperating with him, he has the right to order his/ her replacement. The Governors should not abdicate their duties under the guise of not being in control of the security apparatuses. I do not support state police because it will certainly be abused by politicians to intimidate opponents. Police and funding should remain in the hands of the FG but the constitution can increase the powers of the governors over their state police commissioners especially in times of heightened insecurity. Nigeria is not yet ripe for state policing.

Two days later I went back to get the test result.

typoid-Negative
Liver function test - A little above normal(doc said no need to worry)

20th May I decided to go to Owerri to do the HIV test in case I was positive so nobody will know me. in fact I didn't use my real name when filling the HIV form.

After the long discussion the counselor will give, then it was time to Carry out the test.

My hands and feets were shaking. the counselor noticed and he said even if you have it there are ARVs for you to live healthy (I was like God just forgive me, I know I have failed)

As soon as he took my blood, I stood up wrote my number on a shot of paper and said Sir please send the result to me via sms, he was just staring at me while I left.

I left and went to a bar sitting and waiting for the result via sms

After 20mins I got a test. my heart was beating when I opened it what I saw was "Your HIV test result says you are negative, always protect yourself but remember abstinence is the best".

I was so happy but I Needed to confirm it again, so I returned back to Awka that same day.

Today being 22nd May 2019, I went to Medical Center Amaku to confirm.

I went in after every every I was confirmed negative. happiness from no where came over me.

As I was leaving I looked towards the special clinic and saw crowd of HIV positive persons waiting to get ARVs, and I was like what if I had tested positive is this how I will disgrace myself and my family.

I opened a trend previously asking if HIV persons can join the military. This is because my uncle is making sure I join the Nigeria Prison service. I would have been disgraced if I tasted positive.

I have sworn that from this day I will never have sex till I get married. cause I am planning to get married next year God willing.

So my friends try to know your status today.

You might be scared but just know that only test can confirm your status.


So when last did you check your status?

You are not yet free, my brother. Which one is reconfirm on coming back to Awka? You have to wait six months for another text before being declared free. There is a window period after contagion for the HIV antibodies to show in the blood stream. But from your explanation, you are HIV-free.

Governor Rochas okorocha of Imo state has unveiled the statue of the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari. This is coming less 2 weeks to his handover to the New administration. The president who was scheduled for an official visit to the state on Tuesday 21st had to postpone it because of his trip to Saudi Arabia for lesser Hajj. It's one of the numerous projects to be commissioned by the president.

Another batch of 131 Nigerians would be deported into the country on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, from the North African country – Libya.

The impending returnees, consisting of males, females, and toddlers are expected to land in the country at 9pm on Wednesday through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.

A source close to one of the security agencies at the Lagos Airport confided in our correspondent that a chartered aircraft, a Boeing 787-800, belonging to Buraq Airlines with the registration number 5ADMG would return the deportees to Nigeria.

The Nigerians are being deported from the war-torn North African country for illegally entering and residing in Libya.

The stranded Nigerians would be assisted back to the country through the humanitarian efforts of International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and special funding from European Union (EU) for reintegration process for the voluntary returnees after their futile attempts cross over to Europe through Libya.

The source told our correspondent that all the security agencies at the Lagos Airport had been notified of the impending return of the Nigerians.

Some of the security agencies included – the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), Aviation Security (AVSEC), Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Police, Department of Security Service (DSS) and several others.

Besides, it is expected that officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) would receive the deportees on arrival in Nigeria.

It would be recalled that the exercise has been ongoing since 2017 with the 66th flights performed late last month.

As at the last time, over 13, 000 Nigerians have been returned to the country through the exercise.

Most of the returnees had planned to use Libya as a departing point to Europe but were later stranded in the North African country.

Well, if the plaintiff isn't in court, it doesn't mean he has abandoned the case. A frivolous suit of that magnitude cannot go unpunished. I met my Gf about 3years ago after my youth service in Nigeria l! she was in law school at that time and things was going on well till I finally found out that she has cheated on me when she traveled back to continue her law school in Abuja, she told me that she thought I wasn’t too serious at that time and that she’s truly sorry.

When I traveled down to Nigeria to celebrate Christmas with family&friends I ask her if she has ever cheated on me when I was away. She started lying till I have to force her to talk and give her the only bible to swear but she could not do that , she was scared so she told me that she has cheated on me twice, she said the first one was when she visited her friend in Ibadan for her sister wedding and a friend of her came in without her knowledge, that she was drunk and they have sex.

She said the second one happened when she went for a job interview in Edo. according to her she said when the the interview was over that she could not go back to Lagos so her male friend log her in an hotel which both of them sleep till morning but nothing happened between them! I don’t believe a man and woman would sleep in an hotel room till morning and nothing happened! I’m a street wise and well oriented so such story is not a welcome story to me .

What we would want to know is whether the Airport came after the market or vice versa.
