But let us not be too optimistic of positive changes following this. Youths almost ran this country aground in the formative years. Yakubu Gowon was a mere 32 year-old as Head of State. There were many of such cases. The present Governor of Kogi State,Yahya Bello; the former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu was 37 on assumption of office. That said, the youths need greater participation but also need to justify the confidence. Experience and pedigree should be the driving force in youth engagement. Totally unknown quantities can spring surprises, mostly negative. I haff say.

If simple things like Peace Accord can get complex like this, then we are not yet ready for 2019 elections. I see grave danger ahead. Prominent Igbo leader, Chief Dozie Ikedife is Dead.He passed on Tuesday evening at the Age of 88, PoliticsNGR gathered.

According to his son, Dozie jr, Ikedife “will be buried today (Wednesday) Dec. 12, 2018, at 5pm in his compound,” adding that his funeral would be announced later by his family.

Dr Ikedife, held the traditional title of Ikuku Ebu Nkpu which was awarded to him by 14 communities in Nnewi North, Nnewi South, Ekwusigo local government areas of Anambra State.

He was also a holder of an honorary chieftaincy title of Ikenga Nnewi and Odezuligbo Umueje. Ikedife was an obstetrician, gynaecologist and researcher of repute.

He held a Bachelor of Science of University London, 1958, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, (MBBS), University Glasgow, Scotland, 1959 and a diploma in obstetrical, Royal College Ob-Gyn.

Dr. Dozie Ikedife, Ikenga Nnewi, is gone! I was privileged to meet this great son of Igbo land and interact with him on a number of occasions. He wrote the foreword to my book on another great Igbo son. He was a quintessential leader, firebrand orator and quick-witted intellect who would not tolerate any nonsense. My impression of him was of someone who was upright, well-learned and bold - never afraid to say the truth or what he believed was right. May God Almighty have mercy on his soul and grant the bereaved family the fortitude to bear the loss.

We eventually got married two years later in a registry in Nigeria. I was willing to move to Nigeria permanently and forget about London completely. It was time to do the traditional marriage now, he said he’s not doing anymore. Long story short he has the marriage certificate with him in Nigeria. He said he will just tear it up and that’s that and no1 will ever believe me without the certificate that we are legally married.
Obviously I need to one day move on with my life, by Gods grace and remarry. I’m only 26, I cannot come and die because of one man. I don’t want to deal with this issue when I have someone new etc. I don’t want to comit polygamy as that is highly illegal in the UK. Personally, I cannot date another man while I’m legally married. Ko make sense.
Does anyone know how I can obtain a copy of the marriage certificate myself in order to proceed with a legal divorce?
In the UK you can look up marriages online, is there a website for Nigerian marriage information to be looked up online?
Please help me because if you understand the heartbreak I’m going through right now, you will cry for me.

I do not believe this story. It sounds yahooish. Unless OP isn't beautiful or she's got bad character, no Nigerian guy will say no to her. We need pictorial evidence. Getting the marriage certificate is no brainer. It can be obtained in a jiffy following the right steps. I am not yet convinced.

The point is that this is one allegation to justify the President's inability to do the needful. Nothing in the amended electoral bill gives riggers that power.
