Ikwerre people will never claim Igbo.  They dress like Igbos, dance like Igbos, have Igbo names, but still claim they are not Igbo.  Anytime you call an Ikwerre person Igbo, the deny it very quickly, but they are able to easily fit into any Igbo surroundings because they have Igbo names and can speak Igbo very well.  Maybe some of them do claim they are Igbos, but the ones I have met always say they are not.

Aro resistance to the British was one of the most fiercist in all of Nigeria and we were the last to be conquered. The East would have looked like a much different place if the British never got involved in our politics. Of course one Igbo clan would have conquoered the East and that would have most likely been the Aro. Which Igbo, Ibibio, Ijaw, Igala or Idoma clan could have resisted the Aro at the height of our power. Aro warriors were even known to create their own communities as far as Anamabra State and Cameroon.

The killing of my brothers and sisters was eventually going to happen because at the time Igbos were advancing too fast.  Yes, majority of the coup plotters were Igbos, but the  coup became an Igbo coup once it failed and certain politicians who happen to be Igbos were spared.  For those saying that Igbos had no reason to plan a coup because we were already established remember Igbos both educated and uneducated were seen as advancing to fast and rapidly both in the Govt and private sectors.  I am quite sure there were already plans to contain this fast growth mainly from the Northern leaders land that is why Azikiwe probably tried to get the military involved.  The first coup became a good excuse to now execute their plans to slow down the Igbos and as you can see their plans worked.  Yes, Igbos were able to rebound from that brutal civil war but as you can see the playing field has sort of been levelled if not maybe we Igbos are now sort of below (Northerners dominating the military and govt sectors and the Yorubas dominating the financial and media sectors).    One can only imagine what would have been if the first coup had not taken place?  But something had to happen, there was just too much tension between the Igbos and the rest of Nigeria and in some ways that tension still exists but this time in the form of Christians versus Muslims.

I am so happy that Brazil is out.  After they way they cheated and faked against Ivory Coast I knew pay back was around the corner.  The Netherlands payed them back in their own coins and that is why we saw the Brazilians all frustrated that even one of their own pulled a Kaita.  If Ghana can pull out a victory against Uruguay they will have a better chance matching up against the Netherlands than Brazil.

Some Ngwa do have ‘tribal’ marks. It’s a perpendicular slit, about 2cm long, on both sides of the face. It is usually not very prominent, unless it’s scarred over.

There is no denying the fact that there is a problem in Abia State. There certainly is and everybody, who is not a sycophant, will acknowledge that the place is a s-h-i-t hole (over)run by a bunch of lunatics and demons! And I honestly doubt that any informed Ngwa person will come out and claim that the criminal activity in ala Ngwa is not alarming. The evidence is not there to prove that it’s only Ngwa people who indulge in armed robbery and kidnapping in Abia state. So I wonder how those that assert so, reach their conclusions. The fact that Aba falls within ala Ngwa, is not evidence enough, so I am persuaded to assume that those who claim that the problem (of crime and kidnapping) is unique to Abia state and that the Ngwa are solely culpable, are just ignorant or just being disingenuous. That is why Nigeria will never progress and I mean it.  Every where in Nigeria we have run down roads and infrastructure, but people will continue to argue about which states or regions are better.  The truth is that everywhere you go in Nigeria you will always find the good, bad, and ugly.   Ok Lagos is more developed than the whole of Igbo land, but yet with all the beauty, you still see the rotten decay, poverty, crimes, no power supply etc but because I live in Ikoyi, VI, Lekki, Lagos is very developed.   Whether Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, Efik, Edo, Nigeria has few bright spots with a whole bunch of poo.
