PoliticsRe: How Does The Thieving Of Corrupt Nigerians Affect Their Kids? by yarodin: 12:04pm On Nov 09, 2010
Some of us on this thread probably looked down on people that lived in Ajegunle, Maroko etc without any guilt and we expect the kids of the rich and powerfull to feel guilty? Abeg lets be real, that is why the rich stick with the rich and marry among themselves. Why would I go hangout with someone that everyday will remind me how fortunate I am blah blah blah. As long as they stay within their circle of friends then all is fine.
PoliticsRe: Drama As Man Attacks Obasanjo At Lagos Airport by yarodin: 11:56am On Nov 09, 2010
This man is probably already dead.  In Nigeria you can't attack an Army General talkless of a President and get away with it.  If he is not already dead he is going to rot in jail.
PoliticsRe: Eko Ni Baje O. Fashola Commissions Transformer Manufacturing Company (Pics by yarodin: 12:26am On Oct 23, 2010
So are you saying Tinubu was initially the one that jump started the projects? Why I am asking is because some people were saying Tinubu and some officials were mad that Fashola was doing alot of projects instead of putting money in their pockets.
PoliticsRe: Eko Ni Baje O. Fashola Commissions Transformer Manufacturing Company (Pics by yarodin: 11:37pm On Oct 22, 2010
Before anyone calls Fashola's projects "elephant projects" they should go ask their own state governors what projects they have in the works?  Hands down Fashola has proven to be the best, so him and his State deserve all kudos.  Also, for those complaining that Fashola is not doing anything for the poor have to remember the projects have to start from somewhere.  It makes sense to carter to the rich if you want to put it that way because in the end run it flows down to the poor.  The rich people are the ones that have the money to spend, so the more they spend, the more the services get cheaper then more and more people start using that service.  The cell phone is a good example of what am talking about.  We just pray that Fashola keeps up the good work and that those following right behind him do not abandon what he and his staff members have already started.
PoliticsRe: Goodbye America, Welcome Nigeria by yarodin: 10:37am On Oct 19, 2010
His people will ask him "Brother welcome oooooh, wentin you carry come from yankee tongue?" and he will reply "Nothing ooh my people, but I want to bring change to Naija. I want to monitor the elections and ensure that the best candidate is chosen by we the people". His people will then reply in anger "Abeg bros go siddon jare, your mates they bring better dey come Naija you dey talk sey you wan monitor election". Before he can even set his luggages in his room, his peeps have vanished.
PoliticsRe: Goodbye America, Welcome Nigeria by yarodin: 1:10am On Oct 19, 2010
sometimes when one has lived in a western society for so long they forget the reality of what is like to live in a country like Nigeria.   Honestly, after reading that dude has spent over 22yrs in America I honestly don't think he will last in Nigeria.  I am sure he will give all his best, but Nigeria will eventually break him.  The frustration alone from his friends and family will be enough, we are not going to even talk about other obstacles like fuel scarcity, Power failures, armed robbers/Police etc.

Like I said before, other states have faced the same crime issues the eastern folks are facing and someway some how, they managed to figure their way out without the usual finger pointing and passing blame left and right and I even used my own state as a good example. It was not a diss, I used that example just to let you know what's possible with good and committed leadership.

Pointing fingers and blaming other people wont help me, it wont help you, it only allow ineffective leaders to get away and keep deflecting their responsibilities. Who is asking them about the huge security budget funded by the tax payers? where is all the money going?

We are siting here going back and forth while the people charged with the responsibility to look out for your people are busy doing nothing.

We need to stop repeating the same mistake, our leaders are there to serve us, not the other way around.
Never once  were the yorubas blamed for the kidnappings happening in Aba, so honestly I don't know why  you saying  we Igbos are pointing the fingers at others especailly the Yorubas.  All I was stating was that everywhere in Nigeria are witnessing serious crimes, but Aba just happens to take the headline, afterall Imo state which is borderline with Abia is not having such lawlessness.   If Fashola right now should run against the gov of Abia Fahsola will win hands down because   in a country like Nigeria, Fashola has proven to be one of the best governors.

You have the nerve to say Ngwa are more educated. Southern Abia State is very backwards with a bush mentality. You cannot compare the two.

Ngwaland possesses the most criminals in all of Alaigbo. Maybe the entire East!
Honestly you are a big joke, because your village asss was able to win lottery to come to America you are qualified to open your mouth and insult intellectuals? I don't blame you, America is a land of opportunities, but a village champion is what you will always be.

Keep quiet my friend, leave me and my Lagos alone. When are you going to start worrying about your own people getting killed and kidnapped? Yes we are suffering if it makes you happy, but we are not running away from killers and our kids are not getting kidnapped so what's your point?
Some Igbos just like everyone else are also suffering, I hope that makes you happy.

Why is this LAGOS thing dey kill ibo people so much sef?,

Instead of sitting here talking all this useless rubbish, why not go out there and help look for innocent kidnapped kids?
How is this Lagos thing killing Igbo people when must have been living there right from birth.    Yes, Fashola dey try but I still see some yoruba peeps suffering in the same Lagos that you bragging about, so I ask you what is your point?   I have met your type in "your Lagos", suffer heads just like yourself who feel Igbos are buying up the whole of Lagos.   If you like yab Igbos till you fall down dead, we are still going to be in Lagos.  ONE F**KING NIGERIA.  And for you to be taking the kidnapping of these innocent children as a joke, you better pray such calamity does not befall you or your loved ones.  Have a goodnight Mr. I am from Lagos.

Thank you very very much for this imput.

Again, feel free to cry and yell about Yoruba people as much as you want, no Yoruba state is or was ever under siege and Yoruba folks don't go  around killing and kidnapping their own for money, we don't kidnap our own school kids, this is not part of our make up and we don't have such entrenched level of greed and lack of respect for human life.

Instead of wasting your breath and losing sleep about Yoruba people, why not start worrying about your own people and start looking for solutions to help your own people.

Crime rate in Lagos was way way high before Fashola took over, but he showed leadership by creating a security fund where the average lagosian and business donate money to support the police with hundreds of patrol vehicle, armored cars, BMW power bikes, weapons and amo and armored trucks.

I'm sure you heard about the 2 new bell  helicopters the state bought to fight crime, guess what, the money came from the same fund.

With a population of almost 18 million, Laagos state is one of the safest mega cities in the world.

What are your leaders doing and what have they done to fight crime and look out for your people? It's all about leadership and accountability.
Yes, Fashola is doing a very good job in Lagos, but is Lagos State a representative of all the Yoruba States?  I for one I am not losing sleep over the Yorubas, but when people like you start to talk rubbish you have to be educated.  What is happening in Aba can easily happen in any part of Nigeria including Lagos, to think otherwise is very foolish.  I am done talking to you because you are no different from your Igbo counterparts
PoliticsRe: Is Aba A Reflection Of What Biafra Would Have Been? by yarodin: 8:30am On Sep 30, 2010
When and where did Igbo people say that the cause of the crises in Aba was the fault of the Yorubas?  Instead Igbos have been blaming other Igbos.  Tell me one Yoruba murder case you have solved?  The issue in Aba is not just a reflection of the problems with Igbos but with the whole of Nigeria.  Remember, Imo state which is next door to Abia is not having such problems, but that does not mean criminal activities are still not going on in Imo state.  Of course I am sure if maybe Ogun, Oyo, or any Yoruba state was experiencing such level of kidnapping there will be some Igbo person making fun of the situation.  But remember it is Abia today but tomorrow could be Osun, Sokoto, etc.

PoliticsRe: Is Aba A Reflection Of What Biafra Would Have Been? by yarodin: 8:05am On Sep 30, 2010
I understand that Aba is going through some crises right now, but why are some Yorubas acting like their regions are very peacefull? Afterall in the 60's, the western region was been ravished by political killings and kidnappings. Even presently we hear of clashes between area boys, political killings etc or because one was not affected directly so it is not a problem? Yes, Aba today has gone to the dogs, but only God knows which region will go up in flames next.
PoliticsRe: Kidnappers Hijack A School Bus Of 15 Pupils In Aba by yarodin: 8:52am On Sep 29, 2010
And people are asking for Bakassi to come rescue us? What we need is Abach style leadership in that country especially now in Abia. I mean for these kidnappers to be executing their operations so freely tells me that there are powerfull forces behind them.
PoliticsRe: Kidnappers Hijack A School Bus Of 15 Pupils In Aba by yarodin: 8:31am On Sep 29, 2010
This is why Igbos should pray that Nigeria does not breakup because if the country breaks up where do we run too? Can you imagine this nonsense happening during the pogroms of 1966, Igbos been killed in the north and west, then they run into the waiting hands of kidnappers? This crap is what happens when you put unqualified, uneducated, motor park touts in positions of power.

Abagworo:
Frankly there's no need to shy away from the truth.Ngwa's indulge in crime as a people and also tolerate criminals in their villages quite unlike most other Igbos.I have thought over it and discovered that they as a people feel cheated in the Igbo nation. They have never produced an LGA chairman of Aba.They are treated like 2nd class citizens in their own land.As a result a regret has ensued in their mind of not joining Rivers state or at least being recognized as ethnic minority instead of being grouped with the Igbo where they are given haphazard acceptance.
I agree with everything you said, even Ngwa people will admit that most of the crimes in Aba are committed by some Ngwa people. My own is why has the State Govt failed to deal with these issues? And honestly speaking I am quite sure it is not only Ngwa people committing these crimes, afterall alot of people not from Ngwa have been living in Aba township and the villages for years. The bottom line is that the State and Fed govt should put an end to this rubbish asap.

Aba has been the worst place in Nigeria for the past few years,

They have for over a decade now, concurrently had the very worst governors nigeria has ever seen. i'm talking about people that were known thugs becoming governors! !
Imagine somebody that was always beaten in school days because he stole all the time becoming a governor; what chance does
that state have?
(Orji kalu actually made the motor parks his private property in his time).
The city in general introduced fake goods world-wide ;They are lazy and the igbo get-rich-quick syndrome is
actually an ABA thing (for the info of those not from the east)

The road medians are heaps of rubbish of up to 5 ft running the entire length of major roads.
The schools have no teachers nor windows and most of the traders have relocated to owerri.
(i hope they dont mess up my serene town).

The armed robbers are predominantly ngwa boys who are lazy and hardened from their human butchering
persuations.

Their indigienes also account for over 90% of all the kidnappers in the entire east ;
My uncle has been kidnapped twice in Abayi ! !
i despice them greatly.
Honestly speaking you sound like a big fool.   The people that are in charge of Abia are they Ngwa people too?  Even if every Ngwa person is committing all the crimes in Abia and the rest of the East what is stopping the State Govt and Fed Govt?   Yes, it is quite obvious that some bad Ngwa elements are involved, but I won't be surprised if they getting help and assistance from  people like you.  Typical Igbo garbage, always ready to point the finger instead of finding a solution to the problem.

Nwosu, Nwota, Nnwoka, Ngochukwu, Nwoga, Uguoma, Ugochi, Nnamani. The whole damn Eastern Part of Nigeria is filled with Kidnappers. Even the Igbos in America said that they are not going home for visit or business 'cause they are scared they may be kidnapped. And that's a lot! If an Igbo man says he's afraid of some place for business or an Opportunity to eat Isi Ewu. How on earth do you kidnapp your own kind to make money?? The only ones that we knew that did it were the Middle eastern terrorists against the Americans. I tire for Igbo boys.
Maybe instead of blaming the Igbos you should first blame your Hausa and Yoruba Presidents and Head of States that have been looting the country dry.  Typical Nigerians to always draw a line where it pleases them, I bet you do not recall any Yorubas committing a crime of this magnitude.   Trust me the kidnapping in the East is because of greedy politicians, police, military, etc.  I don't care if the govt is made up of only five people, if they want to put a complete stop to these kidnapping it can be done.   Again it is not the people but the govt that has failed.

I'm not trying to be tribalistic here or nothing but the Ibo boys spoil the image of Nigeria more than any other tribe. Down in th south and in the NY area, Ibo boys are always getting busted for all sorts of fraud. This is not to say that other tribe doesn't commit fraud but the ration of the Ibo boys are too much. They want money at all cost. If anybody is in doubt go to Youtube.com and type the word "How to catch a con man" by Chris Hansen of NBC. It's Ibo boys.
Oh yes the Igbos have tarnished the good name of Nigeria.  Abeg go siddon, when you have a run down, undiscipline, over corrupt, money loving etc like Nigeria what do u damn expect?  What about the govt officials looting our country dry? I guess to you that is good crime.    What do you expect from a society that praises individuals with billions without trying to find out how they came about that money?  Please refrain from you childish assumptions and stop trying to act like your part of Nigeria are all saints.

Honestly Bluetooth is just reacting the same way people like Osu-EzeUche of Arochukwu and co would have reacted if the drug bust had been Yoruba.  They are all quick to pointout the bad in each other as if that is suppose to make them feel better.  When the mallam was busted for trying to blow up the plane, I did not hear the western media say he was Hausa/Fulani, all I heard was a muslim from Nigeria and we all know how that affected every single Nigeria travelling back and forth.
