PJ123: You actually do not know what you're saying or you're being selfsh. There's no where in the World where lecturers or Professors are paid the same salary. For instance, a full Professor in UCT doesn't collect the same salaries with the full Professor in UJ. People are paid based on many factors such as revenue capacity of the university, capacity of the Lecturers to attract funding, and living expenses in the city where the university is located.
ASUU is very wicked they know the true solution to development challenges confronting Nigeria is true Federalism. How would the FG decides what to pay lecturers in State University. That's counterproductive to true federalism we are all clamouring for. In most decent societies, Professors are pointed based and paid based on their ability to bring in money. Nigeria still has long way to go with all these crooks in academic gown and useless politicians in the corridor of power. Unfortunately, salaries are fixed in Nigeria arbitrarily, without recourse to those indices you listed. No true federalism, hence difficult to separate salaries of state and federal universities. The current salary was also negotiated and signed in 2009 for public universities. It is just the minimum that can be paid. |

https://punchng.com/atiku-placing-personal-ambition-above-national-interest-tinubus-ally-adeyeye/ For equity and fairness, power should have been zoned to southeast. So, the Tinubu he is promoting is equally in breach, and has also placed his "lifetime ambition" above national interests |

phemmyjohnson: Well in as much as the VP is right and we all are right to sympathize with our Christian community , what has the ticket of buhari and osinbajo muslim/Christian achieved since 2015 till date . I rather choose competence also but then you cannot just overlook the killing of the Christians and understand this country is not just ripe to have a Muslim/Muslim ticket at least for now .. It is a joke to think there are no competent Christians from the North. Tinubu simply played the religious card. |

muykem: That's not true. Tinubu as a muslim from South as a president with Muslim VP from North is better than Atiku another muslim Fulani man from North as president with Christian from South as VP. Which role doesn't Nigeria constitution given to VP. Don't forget that current VP is a Pastor. The VP is the Head of the National Economic Council according to our constitution. Our current VP didn't do his work, hence the economic problems. Atiku in same position under OBJ assembled the best economic team we have ever had in Nigeria history. And the results are there to see. So, the VP isn't as useless as it seems. |

If you want religious equity. A Christian must be the president this time around. And that person is Peter obi. If you want to vote for him, vote for him and if you don't, please don't Don't come here pretending while selling your own injustice. We are not fools. MadamVanessa:

Christians this is the right time to show Tinubu that you people are not second class citizen in this country, this is high time to show Tinubu that you people are not inconsequential as he clearly shows you people that you people are nothing in Nigeria. You can vote Atiku , you can vote Obi, or any presidential aspirant that carry Christians along, but never give this idiotic useless satanic jihadist your vote, he doesn't deserve it a bit.
Assuming a christian won the major political party ticket and goes on to picked a christian as his running mate, by now jihad would've been declared by Muslim fanatics up north on Christians there, the foolish and usêlèss Muric would've wrote his long epistle crying and wailing endlessly.
Christians if una like make una mumu, una think say dem like una? Do the mistake of voting in this thing, and live to regret forever, remember how Buhari regime is with Christians. A word they say is enough for the wise. Right on point |

Quick Question, Do you suppose the situation would be different with PVCs and digital collection of Votes? What about the fact that Youths behind Obi are cultish in their movement, how would you expect the outcome if these voters are aggressively passionate youths who believe they are voting to revolt? do you think these kind of youths at these polling booths would have altered the narrative of what of what you experienced?
I am all ears. Which youths? These already highly corrupt segments of the Nigerian polity? Trust them to your peril |

Tianamen1: Kwankwaso has nothing to lose by running under NNPP as president. His goal in this election is to show the whole country that he has the northern vote and that he is the new Buhari. If he also gets his party members elected across the northern rejoin, this will also show that with a formidable running mate, 2027 will be a sure victory.
Peter Obi's popularity amongst the youth, is a surprise blessing to Kwankwaso, because it has created an opportunity to win in 2023, which probably wasn't his plan in first place.
Kwankwaso should win all core northern states apart from Adamawa, so he may already have close to 10 million votes. if Peter Obi can humble himself to this reality, both men will be elected president and vice president respectively by the grace of God.
This is the only path of stopping Tinubu's victory. Kwankwaso may not even win in Kano. He is overrated |

Politics › Re: Why Igbos Must Not Dump PDP by ybn(m): 6:17pm On Jun 17, 2022 |
Slynation: There is no how PDP is winning this election, the entitled mentality PDP has for S.E clearly shows why they don't regard that region after Election...Even during the era of Goodluck Jonathan, he got block votes from S.E but he neglected the region and was busy building Almajiri schools for those who sees Education as haram, Enugu/Onitsha expressway was due for maintenance, the East needed this road badly but GEJ totally neglected it...
S.E vote for competency and not Party, that was the main reason why PDP was dethroned by APGA in Anambra state...
Voting PDP now means power will remain in the North for another 8years. Desperation to clinch power, they decided to field a Northerner knowing fully well there was an earlier agreement for a Southern President due to power rotation, even APC that could have easily fielded a Northerner just to retain power kept to their own part of the bargain, Atiku-dollars made PDP to turn around to betray the southern presidency due to their mentality of the SE/SS are PDP stronghold, now they are cajoling the S.E to key into that nonsense when a reputable candidate is from that region...
We rather waste our votes on LP even if it will guarantee victory to Tinubu, Atleast the Jagaban is reaping the South!! The key members of GEJ government were Igbos. And they did nothing for their people. Why blame other people? |
