freshvine:Madam you're the one who sounds bitter. The lady said the truth. If the man can no longer provide financially, he should at least ensure he relives his wife of some Street by taking up house chores. The primary role for the man is to be the breadwinner while the woman is the caretaker. If for any reason he can't provide what's wrong with taking care of his FAMILY and household? |
SmartyPants:My point is I just disagree when I spouse paints his or herself like an innocent victim and there other half like a wicked witch. I'm sure we'll get a different story if we hear from the wife. |
No matter how bad apc does the core north will always vote them. Because they see pdp now as a igbo regional party. The north always votes on tribal and religious lines. I'm not surprised. |
Fabulocity:My dear I'm all for gender equality which is equal opportunities for all irrespective of gender. This has nothing to do with marriage but societies perception about women general. Even if they want to bring gender equality into marriage, I each party would still have to play there own respective roles. For the man it's being the breadwinner. For the woman it's being the caretaker. These roles never really change. |
Chi59:Honestly there's no gap to bridge... I don't even notice it. W3 both love and respect each other. No secrets and there's trust. It's a good marriage. I wouldn't jeopardise it for anything. |
yhemster:My brother leave this modern day talk. There are certain things that just don't change. The man is the breadwinner while the woman is the caretaker. You made it sound so fancy. Would u be OK with washing your wife and kids cloths going to market and cooking as a man?? While your wife is at work?? The reason most men earn more than women is because the woman cannot put in as much time and devotion to her job when she has a family to care for. Which is totally understandable. That places the financial burden on the man. That of the wife is just extra. I agree that when the man has financial difficulties the wife's should step in, however it's not her role. And most importantly, how well did the man care for his family when the going was good?? Was it clubbing flexing with side chics every now and then? Remember women don't forget stuff like that! |
Imagine... is this all they can come up with?? I was expecting to hear them organising mass protest! These uncircumcised bastards are trying to change our way of life as Christians and this is all our leaders can come up with?? |
DukeNija:I have read the story.. I don't believe the op. The same way I don't believe most wives who say "I didn't do anything to him. He just started beating me" |
Rossikki:What if sickness makes it impossible for the woman to take care of the family home and kids? I'm guessing a good man will fill the void right? Is that what a good husband should do, yes. Will it stain the marriage? Of course! I NEVER mentioned money in my post, u did! I just pointed out to the op the roles of parties in a marriage and the fact that his post about his wife seems untrue. Why do men tend to paint themselves like innocent victims and the wife as the wicked witch? When the going was good with the op HOW WELL DID HE TAKE CARE OF HIS FAMILY? that's what I want to hear. |
Op I'll be honest with u. It is a man's responsibility to provide for his family. It is a woman's responsibility to take care of the home and kids. Anything that alters this position will definitely bring friction in the home. If you want your marriage to work u need to see things from your partner standpoint. You said when u were working u took care of your family, however u didn't give any details of such care the way u detailed your wifes misbehaviour. I seriously doubt ur story Mr. |
I can't believe the trash I'm reading here. Age has little or nothing to do with maturity. I met my husband at 17. We got married when I was 18. He is 20+ years my senior. We've been married for 13years now and I've never thought of cheating or "exploring" with another man. God forbid! Why?? 1. He treats me well: one of the first thing that made me fall for my hus was how he treats me like a queen. He loves me with every bone in his body. 2. I'm a God fearing Christian wife and mother. With a combination of the two qualities above any woman despite age will be a good wife. |

moupe:Who do u know?? I've seen people with this condition who never bleached! |
Because God created us but He does not control our actions. We are created in God's image. We are also mini gods. Spiritual beings with everlasting souls. |
Adebola314:You are the dumb one if u don't know some people have skin defects. |
Trash talk. This woman is dumb. What of woman who consciously decided to have a child without a husband? What of young widows? Is she trying to say that resisting the attempt of abortion is bad?? Trash talk from an illiterate woman. |
Some people naturally have darker knuckles |
SaulRazor:You have not seen all the negative change ![]() That's what u voted for nah... |
Boys of nowadays eh... If u must sleep with a girl must u do it in her parents bedroom?? If I'm the father him own don finish. |
dmgr:always do a background check. ![]() |
valboy20:Ignorance is a serious problem amongst our youth today. Despite the availability of the Internet. Instead of him to do a background check of my statement before commenting. |
dmgr:"In the XY sex-determination system, the female-provided ovum contributes an X chromosome and the male-provided sperm contributes either an X chromosome or a Y chromosome, resulting in female (XX) or male (XY) offspring, respectively. Hormone levels in the male parent affect the sex ratio of sperm in humans." Before you show your ignorance and insult people, remember Google is your friend. |
Israeljones:I just laughed so hard I peed. University of ekwensu... lol |
solid3:Stop calling Kanu the emperor of Igbos. That's insulting. Not all igbos are foolish. He is the emperor of Biafra movement |
"Igbos are smart but Biafrans are dumb" My point exactly. |
6. The sex of a baby is determined by the father not mother as most people think. This should be on that list! |
Calaba and cultists |
Brown roof and Igbo thread... *removing my high heel shoe* *runs out of thread* |
