britee: hello all, i have a pressing career concern. I am a graduate of literature in english and i want to pursue a career in human resource management. I graduated 3 years ago and am still unemployed. In addition to my B.A lit-in-eng, i have a diploma in public administration. With your Lit-in-English, you are good to go as HR person but i think it will help you more if you quickly enroll with CIPM and be certified. Often time we have vacancies for HR Asst and requirement might be either 1-2 years previous experience in HR or Freshers with CIPM background. You should grow with time in HR but if still go ahead for other courses, it may affect your desired career in HR. I am not saying you should not take your PGD's, MBA etc but as a fresher do all that after CIPM. Your chances of securing a job in HR environment with Lit-in-Eng + CIPM are higher than if you have your lit-in-Eng + PGD at entry level. |
udoka2: Thanks yemmight, but l think its necessary especially in my industry...and even to create a niche for yourself. If you have idea where l can do it, kindly help. What other certification are you talking about pls.Ok but i don't know where and last time i made inquiry, they was no centre here yet. |
Kobojunkie: Stop with the lame-brained excuses. Yes, inherited a state with no serious drainage system in place but it does not take 10 years to build a functioning drainage system. Any serious government can do that in less than a year. Considering he knew of this problem before resuming office, one would expect he gets to solving it immediately . .. hit the ground running essentially. For a long time that i have known you here, you way has always been upside down, so i am used to it. Sometimes i wonder if you walk using your head. Even battling drainage since Tinubu era has not resolved the problem but WIP. So for you, one year is enough to handle drainage in a State like Oyo? i dont even know the planet you presently occupying but if you are close to your homeland, you should be precise in reasoning. I was in Ibadan last weekend and i can clearly see the difference btw Kobojunkle, Akala and Ajimobi. Two weekends ago, I was also in Ogun State and i saw massive construction of road network with good drainage and i can easily compare Kobojunkle, Gbenga Daniel and Amosun. |
Gbawe: We wish Oghiadhome plenty of 'goodluck'.Who are the we? I wish him plenty of badluck. |
Apology for what? If he had not complained while the election was on and with reports of fake ballot papers, delays in major pooling boots in Benin, where Comrade has got stronghold, i am sure that election would have been manipulated. Comrade, please don't swallow your pride i beg sir. |
usmanyaro17: With the widely acclaimed success of th Edo state governorship elections, which was termed as peaceful, credible and reflective of the people's wishes, can it be said, that the President Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is a man of his words, with the promise he made earlier that the process will be hitch free? His words my foot. The election in Edo is beyond. If he has done anything stupid, the gods of the land would have responded by now. |
Demdem: To be honest, Ajimobi should wake up.So he brought the flood abi? Or do you want him to perform miracle to stop flood immediately? Have you ever asked what the previously govt have done in the past 8 years in that state? Have u been to that state recently and asked yourself what the previous govt achieved in the past? |
@yemmight and others pls anybody get info on the the HR Certificate Institute in Nigeria for PHR certification? pls l am VERY interes0ted to get certified as Professional HR, l already got my CIPM. [/quote In my opinion since u already certified cipm, your worries should be less as lon as u are here in naija though u can still proceed in other certification. For me as a recruiter for human resource professioner, cipm will do to start from. |
Wish u many peaceful years ahead. Congratulations Mummy Joke Silver. |
I think we should henceforth have age limit for politicians here in Nigeria. |
The people of Edo state are going to the polls on 14/7/2012.And there is no better chance to get rid of the inept administration of the incumbent governor ,Adams Oshiomole. General Charles Airhiavbere I believe has what it takes to lead the state to greater heights. Please do not waste your vote on ACN,it's time to liberate yourselves from hypocrisy of Oshiomole and his ilk.Vote for Charles[/quote If u are not clueless like your candidate u won't posting this here. |

More annoying is that the deadline was 3rd july 2012, So a man that fed his children with okada money yesterday should suddenly spring a surprise job today and get paid today and then feed his children SMH
me.
