Can we say the HR professional is being taken seriously in Nigeria. Many people say its not about the experience you have but who you know. Are HR professionals contributing to this problem ? How can we change the way we employ people we are bringing into companies. I am sorry for the questions but there are genuiene concerns of mine. I feel that we are lagging behind even India is now up to speed in HR how can we change thins?

It varies, interviewers will always tell you “we will get back to you” which is the standard, some may call as promised. You might not be their best candidate or the recruitment is not immediate.  But reality is that over 90% “we will get back to you” might not just happen.
