yimidee:1. The only two centres we have in the North exist only in Abuja. 2. If you have your Degree/HND in Social Sciences, Management, Human Resources, you can start from Intermediate II and if you have your Degree/HND in other discplines, you will start from intermediate I. |

Slaak: Good day professionals. Pls wots d pay like for HR graduate trainee in a fmcg company and how best can one answer a salary question in an interview?Personally, i have been very relunctant to discuss salary issues in an open forum recently my reason is best known to me for the second question. Place a price on yourself. Ensure you do not under-price niether over-price yourself. (Don't aways say 'pay anything your organisation pay for my category') That could hurt you. All the best. |
They should have known from the the fact that they were lodged at a Hotel at Gwagwalada. How will a genuine government official lodge delegate to see the President outside Abuja? A journey about 45 minutes. They dont think about it first. I am sure these guys will be busy calculating sharing formula that night. Chei. These people don suffer. |
tgbaba: Are u tell us that 150k is too much for fresh graduate? We have diferent Sectors. Telecoms, Oil & Gas, Banking, Public, Manafacturing etc. Out of all these, you barely see any that can pay be a fresh 150k. May be Oil & Gas or Banking and reality is that Banking also not doing much unlike before. If you go to a small scale business organisation and you are asking for N150k as a fresher, that's ridiculous. |
Plutonium: In 2012, Akwa-Ibom budgeted N2.4 billion ($15M) for an Ibom Science Park; in 2011 they budgeted N2billion ($12.5M); in 2010 – N2.5billion ($15.7M) – That science park lies long abandoned in a thick bush in Uyo.BabaTony and his cohorts will not come and defend this now. |
BabaTony: This is what you get when you try to educate a monkey. What a pity. FoooooolYou see. You are so blind that you cannot see anything wrong in what your noisy Gov is doing. However, people like you cannot make it without staying in our lands here. You keep criticizing the Governors that shelter you, that give you job and transportation. Have you heard? BRT is now in Abuja after the success story recorded in Lagos. We think here, and some of your Leaders will try to emulate but you no what? if no be Panadol it can never be Panadol lailai. |
eni ogiz: God bless you all for this great page... Its a sure eye-opener! Would be going to aluasa on monday to findout nd probably register. Some people from this part of Nigeria despite the education still don’t know what we really call development in a State. Let me ask a very simple question to test the level of education. You have a State like Lagos of over 15million people and with about 10billion allocation monthly and you have your Akwa Ibom of less that 5million people and with monthly allocation of about 55billion, which of the state will any lenient person here rate first in terms of performance? We have been shown some pictures of roads and bridges across that state and despite the fact that some of these projects are FG’s and don’t forget that FG has not been seen at all in Lagos for years. Nobody has shown me industries, companies where people can earn their leavings. Abi how do people survive without creating companies? I work with Telecoms and despite expansion in Telecoms in Nigeria, small companies still open offices in South-West to manage sites in South-South region. I pity the people from that region. Lots of young guys from Akwa Ibom, are here in Lagos doing security jobs and the old ones both women and men selling local gin (Ogogoro) for Jedi and Opa eyin. And you are all busy sending pictures of bridges and supermarkets. Your Governor sent over twenty delegates to Dubai to attend Tuface wedding and cash and two brand new cars were also given to them. What contribution has Tuface given the State to deserve all that? Or because he married from the state? Chai people from the State don suffer. Come and see agonies of an ordinary Akwa Ibom man in Lagos when the news came up. You all should face reality jare |
As HR professional, asking for candidates’ salary expectation has become component of recruitment processes. This tends to address issues of Company’s ability to pay prospective candidates, improve salaries of existing employees. If you are asked about salary expectation, its immature to answer with ‘company should pay me what you are paying my category’ this kind of response has demonstrated that such candidate has not placed any price on himself/herself. Any structured organisation has a standard on how employees are remunerated based on work experiences, qualifications, year of graduation etc. My advices most times to people while conducting an interview have always been that please be very reasonable with your salary demands. However, if a company finds you suitable for a particular job and your demand is way above what they are proposing, you may still be given an offer. Let me correct this impression people do have. I have been involved in recruitment for over 13 years now. If you are found suitable and the company is keen in bringing you on board but you are asking well above what they intend paying you, the offer letter will still be presented to you. The decision to take up the jobs lies on you. And in some cases, companies do change your salaries and grades to enable them secure you. Finally, don’t over price yourself and don’t under sell yourself. An instance of a very fresh graduate that came for an interview and i asked what his expectation was and he said N150,000. As HR professional, people like that i sit them down and lecture them how they should choose career path. |
Warri _Pikin: Yes o ! Talk is cheap! You keep compairing Akwa Ibom with Lagos. Please check what that state get from FG monthly compared to Lagos. Some of these pictutes are projects delivered by FG because its PDP State. For over 15yrs, we have not seen FG's presence in our Lagos as a result of politics. Fashola has done perfectly well in development but alliens like u won't see anything good here. With all these pictures and development u people posted, none of you can stay there. If Fashola is allowed to be Governor in that state, Dubai will come second. |

Dr. Wise:@Dr. Wise, With my experience while administering pre-medicals. There are some with diseases or infections and they are suitable for the job but for the medical reports. Such candidates, I will be willing to bring them on board next time in as much they been able to come clean. In addition, depending on the kind of job you are offering. If for example you have a candidate with chest problem because definitely, test will be administered on chest you might not want to bring in such candidates to do hard jobs or factory environments. The calibre of people we should not reject are those with HIV because the test demand HIV report. I had a case sometime when a prospective candidate was found to be infected by the disease. We had to tell him but he was still offered the job because really he was the best candidate for Management Trainee program we did at that time. He rejected the offer. He could not manage both the job and the current HIV status staying on with the company. It was a pathetic situation. |
