naptu2: 1) Circa 1987, policemen at a check point at the junction of Adeniji Adele and Idumagbo Avenue shot at a danfo bus which they claimed refused to obey their order to stop (the danfo driver would later claim that the policemen tried to extort money from him). The bullets missed their target, instead hitting and killing Saka and Momodu Dawodu.Kai. I remember this story vividly well. I stayed close to Anikantamo and I think the two brothers were shot in okepopo plank market. If u see how military marched on that road that period as if they were ready for war. Anyway that has gone but I think Govt should find another way of dealing with this so that convicted pple will not always go unpunished. On a lighter mood, we can get lots of these hangmen from nolywood coz I have watched some films like that and pple were perfectly hanged. |
micklplus: Yemmight please, check your mail.Got it. Will work on it today. |
Tek2fame: Wow i've really been enlighten. Well i'm a graduate of statistics/economics, just done with NYSC and would love 2 pursue a career in HR. I would like 2 knowYour educational background will not have any barrier in choosing HR as your career. With your stat/eco you could start with CIPM and sit for the exams. Try also to attend lectures before sitting for the exams. Once you have a stage passed, update your CV and indicate that you are a member, CIPM. Some companies will be looking for a fresh HR they could groom but with CIPM background, your chances of securing a job will then be brighter. All the best. |
Few months ago, it was Glo and I had to switch to Airtel for my BB services. However, in the last three days, Airtel has gone offline and suddenly came up this morning. Honestly for me it's has been so frustrating. I cannot load, call or receive calls. I cannot view or send mails. Airtel has not issued any public statement on this and i think it can only happen in an environment like ours. ![]() |

Okija_juju: Why you dey reason like fowl?!Okija i know u don't have a single sense of reasoning. What has FG done for Lagos? FG has not commissioned anything since Tinubu era. You mean no other Yoruba State is doing well? Have you ever been to Ondo? Have you visited Ogun recently or Ekiti. I am very sure by the time these govs spend their 4 years single terms Anambra will still be crawling as usual behind them. |
ismhab: NO ANY SURPRISE AT ALL.And people that bear such names will never stop creating new records in this field. This is another record. |
jantil: I av an interview n I really nd ur contribtn. I am a new chartered member of CIPM. I just got an invitatn 4 interview n d job descriptn says : I will b in charge of hr, but payrol and performance mgt, are areas they wld want to assess bt am nt well versed in it bcs my organisatn is nt organised. The job specificatn says I must b able to use excel, n other accounting pakages. My challenges are hw can I use excel 2 do payroll? Hw can I set up a performance structure/system in a new organisatn. (because I knw these are areas they'll b interested in). Am counting on ur views. Thks in anticipation.Payroll is simple. The only requirement payroll manager must have is integrity. If you go for interview, please don't say what you cannot do. Even if you cannot use excel for payroll, and if you a familiar with same, settling down in that area wont be an issue. I think you can still sell that. It takes a close of work maximum to know how to use formula for payroll and that's what you need. That Accountant near you will be of good to help. They are very good at it. Software for payroll, don't ever claim you have used it when u have not. The only thing you can sell there is as long as you can use excel for payroll, using software will be more easier and which is true. Performance appraisal could be a bi-annual or annual process. Its an exercise where Superior tries to review the performances of subordinates under him. HR will generate appraisal forms and such forms are distributed to all unit heads to be processed and be returned at a given period. HR review the processed forms, recommend where necessary and summary of appraisal sent to management for approval and implementation. But you must know PMS policy should have been in place before implementing appraisal. That would have stated clearly the processes, grades, steps, duration and implementation. I wish u luck. |
hustla: God bless you Sir..No. We do have exemptions. We have several centers in Lagos. |
hustla: And for people that don't know much about statisticsYou hv your Training Centers, Study packs etc. Dont be scared. |
hustla: Please I finished Mass Comm with a 2.2...Can I study Industrial Relations and Personnel Management at Masters level and still be able to be on PAR in terms of H.R? Are they similar? And would it make sense to back It up with CIPM and other management professional courses? Please help me cite other examples of needed professional exams/coursesMass Comm/IRPM? Perfect combination. Do remember to make CIPM essential because it's becoming a must for all HR Professionals to have it. All the best. |
So this one also makes front page. Nairaland I used to know. |
ultimatetboy: AYou are just posting this on every topic here. Whats ur purpose and the mods are here. |
Is this how our trophy will be gotten back when old man is not even making any impact in transfer market? Even Arsenal are really looking good with the new signing with an addition Carzola today. They already preparing a replacement for Song. Old man has revealed to us we will be loosing 3 defenders at the start of the season and Evra is already a shyte. Honestly, this season will be worst ever for us if drastic change is not effected. It just pains me anytime we identify fine players and some clubs will then beat us to it. ![]() |
[quote author=abysirius]I hold a B.Tech in Transport Mgt. from LAUTECH and I'm interested in pursuing a career in HR. In fact, I want to write CIPM. Do you think I can get any exemption? Kindly advice..[/quote Of course you should get. Go to cipm web and check exemptions requirement. |
davades: Like he's not found yet ooooo...let's ignore this news...ƒσя nowNot found yet. |
afam4eva: She's in his record label, so what were you expecting? So must be the President of that label to pick up abi? |
No be Kenny Ogungbe go pick am so? This man dey fall my hand all the time. |
With the way it is right now. This new season will be worse than last for us. We have identified where we had issues last season and Baba has refused to take decision. We discovered potential players yet other clubs will take advantage. Honestly, i can not stand another trophy-less season. |
Sometimes I wonder if the guy takes decision alone or he gets from advisers. |
NigeriaKwenu: @OPAre you kidding me? Apart from Mr. Biggs in Nigeria, Tantalizers is the biggest. Do you know what they call brand name? Some people here in Lagos believe that all the fast food in Naija i Tantalizers just like the way its applicable to Maggi, indomie etc. |
ebamma: Nigeria's population is about 150 million,so even if she die, we go still plenty. Can any sane person talk like this? |
agitator: But by your m0r0nic posts on nairaland it is more than enough for GEJWhy should I engage with an agitator? Recently, I have noticed that more than 60% of posters like this on NL are underage that don't even know the Governors or party chairmen names so how do you want such pple to contribute in this section? Some of you are still doing part-time job and part-time programs in School. |
tolex29: Hello House.Ok noted. |
