Dear All, Happy new year. I pray that this 2013 be the best year for all of us. Amen. |
Eya. RIP. |
Can u guys be serious for once? A building is being displayed here that ordinary individual build here in Lag. You will weep if u know how much allocation Delta get for u to display that picture. This is disgusting. |
Thank God we won but why is SAF still using Scholes and Giggs. Why are we always putting ourselves under pressure? |
Ok will check the mail tray. |
Kermarl8x: @ Mr. Yemmight, pls i sent u an email to help run a check on my cv.@Kemar Please what is the subject used in sending the mail. Lots of mails drop. I am only aware of either a cover letter or an application letter. |
nikkykay: Yes Yemi! Wn I attend interview! U knw d HOUR wl ask u ur xpectation be4 u r asked 2ask dm any Q!I am sorry this response is coming rather late. When you are answering such question, be reasonable. Look at the industry. Do not over-price and also not under-price yourself. Most organizations have salary structure but people's expectations are also use as a benchmark for remunerations. |
collinsola: Write ur CV any how,if u like put your name for button who wan employ you go do so,when you don write every every ur CV go enter 10pages at the end work you nor go see..One day, I hope we can change the mentality we have in Nigeria. An experienced person has come here to give a piece of advice that will really help and look at some comments. I am shocked. I am recruiter and sometimes you are so attracted to some CV's that you can't just let go of them. I have, severally returned CV's to applicants for not putting up attracting CV's. I can always ignore them since they are not useful. My advice really to them is to re-do their CV's or they may not get jobs. Please change this mentality. |
Naija don suffer. |
Pastor Kun: Even Jesus turned water into alcoholic wine and also served same to his disciples during the last supper.hmmmmmmmm |
nikkykay: Am not a HR personnel but how i do i answer the of salary expectation since i want increment? How do i present it that in the end i wont be little myself and also not over do it?Do you mean when you attend interview? |
Over time, I have had discussions on the above topic and it seems no one has proffered desired answers. Currently I have a friend (female), a born again and a worker in one of the new generation Churches. Her major business is selling of alcoholic drinks. She travels far away Ghana and lots of profits from the business. I have engaged her severally the implication of doing this kind of business and it seems I am discouraging her from the business she earns her living. Could anyone here share some thoughts on this? Thank you. |
gbokukueba: https://www.nairaland.com/138110/pasuma-alabi-arabambi-saheed-osupa/1You are just wasting people's time. The write up is just like what anyone could put up here without any source. Please you dont any point. |
bad people: @Gbokukueba, guy, you yarn correct talk, why is he lying about age, i remmember, 1996, he was claiming 19yrs old, now 45, white liesYou sound just as your name. |
gbokukueba: How can this guy be 45 when he celebrated 40 years just some 2-3 years ago? When people are reducing their age he is increasing his ownYou don't have record of this guy and just keep quite. I have that album where he celebrated 40 with me and its exactly 5 years. When he released his first album in 93, do you know how many years this guy has been playing on the street, clubs etc. Just don't say a word if you don't know anything. |
Happy Birthday Baba Wasilat. Oganla 1, Long life and prosperity. |
You see. Some people don't just learn. I am very certain those roadside guys would have increased the rates that make it more attractive but you see we should always think of consequences. Who are you going to hold responsible for the wrong doing? In that Airport Hotel, there are legit, credible bureau d change and they have been there for donkey years so why would you do your business by roadside? Why? |
Bisjosh: I have again. Please check.I would have gotten it except you are not sending it to o_olayemi@yahoo.co.uk |
Why are they still deceiving people? That is my route to and fro everyday. Yesterday evening, FERMA officials were seen patching potholes on the other side while we were returning from work. As at this morning, they are still patching holes. That guy should have just said 'patching of holes will soon be completed' As at this moment, pot holes on that bridge will be over 100. |
Bisjosh: Yemmight have sent a mail to you but you have not replied!!!! Kindly go through your mail box. ThanksI am not sure i got your mail pls. |
Obiagu1: Not at all. Just like Yoruba graduates are powering London undergrounds, factories, Kitchens, warehouses, nightclubs etc, so we need them here in Nigeria.Oponu re. |

Ogoni militant: I heard your new name is now DayoMUMU. why dou you like defending evil? cant you see how your people want to cover this up.No single sense in what you just posted. I think you should learn how to respond to issues. Apart from defending Dayo here, i am also defending my tribe. You need to be told that this tribe is not getting poorer. You should check yours. Despite billions allocated to you guys, there's nothing to show for it on ground. |
With all these comments, it really has shown the level of everyone posting here. Someone even mentioned Osupa is intelligent. Kai. Education don spoil finish in naija. Osupa ko sanmo ni tona tinrin ni. ![]() |
Kermarl8x: Good day, professionals. I'm an unemployed graduate of economics but minored in HRM. I developed interest in HR wen i was in final yr and i'm currently considering an msc in human resources/ personnel economics, HRIS/HRMS training and cipm membership. I've been striving to get an HR job for a yr now since i finished nysc. I'm even trying to get an internship but all to no avail. Is it that i'm no match for this field? Pls, i'd like to solicit for ur assistance, advise etc asap. Thank you in anticipation@Kermar, Its not that you are not match. You already indicated your interest in HR. However, you may not get any invitation for HR position for now because your cv is not carrying any HR related background/qualification. I will advice you not to only consider doing your CIPM/MSc in HR but to take drastic steps now in sitting for those exams. Once any of these qualifications is reflecting in your CV, i am certain that you will get some invitations for HR position at least an entry level. |
lutha: Hello! Yemmy&co. I must say well done to you guyz. You've really done more than enlightment.1. Its never too late to change your career now. 2. Please complete CIPM before MHIR because you can complete CIPM before your masters and most organizations favour CIPM ahead of masters depending on your level. 3. If you concentrate on the exams, you could finish in 1 year with you sitting for intermediate II and pass in February 2013 for example, write PEI and pass in August 2013 and write and pass PE11 in February 2014. You are good to go. 4. You could get employment as middle level depending on organization but definitely not an entry position. All the best. |
toosh: Hi Yemmymight, please wat's your email add? Thanx so much for respondingo_olayemi@yahoo.co.uk |
toosh: Yes I'm referring to spreadsheet. ThanxSend your mail add to my yahoo box. |
blue_blood: Hello friends. I must commend the intelligent discourse on this forum. Please, i need advice. With your 6 years in Banking sector and a CIPM background, you can only get HR middle mgt job in a small firm where HR activity is very minimal. That is the truth. |
toosh: Please HR practitioners in the house, can anyone help me on how to calculate overtime. I also need a format on payroll urgently. ThanksWhen you said payroll format, are you referring to spreadsheet? |
naanmin: Good evening HR professionalsBefore any recruitment exercise is carried out, HR in conjunction with the unit or department affected would have concluded the process and necessary forms that include number of candidates, skills, experience etc and those requirements are agreed. However, often time HR tend to be in kind of dilemma to choose between good candidate, even when one has identified that these two candidates are excellent and we only need to pick one. You might fall into this category. We don’t always admit this but some good candidates may end up being victims as a result of impositions of other candidates. Lots of organizations do this and it’s really challenges for HR people except for very understanding Executives that will never involve in recruitment. Other thing that could have happened might just be inability of the bank to fill those positions for now due to financial implication. I think writing you that letter could also be that after a thorough verifications they may not be satisfied with the responses they have received so far. The responses could be from your formal organization, your references etc. And finally, even when someone gets such letter, this might not be end of the road. Some organizations adopt policies to always write candidates on their performances after interview. They may actually KIV your credential for more suitable opportunity in the future. I had experience where I had to wait for 8 months, even when I have been given a similar letter of yours and that organization has been the best for me so far. Anyway, which of these reasons, I wish you all the best in your carrier path. |
