Family / Re: Who Should You Put First, Family Or Work by yemmydavid(m): 2:38pm On Jul 13, 2010
I recommend you both watch the movie "FIRE PROOF"

COMMUNICATION is the KEY.

1. what kinda job does your husband do?
2. What time does he leave home in the morning?
3. when does he close from work and when does he get home?
4. Does he work weekends?
5. What do you do?

A balance is best in this case cos none is overly more important than the other.

If he doesn't have a job, you will complain he is not living up to his manly responsibility
He has one now and i believe he is paying the bills and we still complain (i know its not all about the bills)

well said people. i feel the initial poster had a lil mockery in the way he started.
Every one has a right to what he or she believes. you can force a carmel to the stream but you can not force it to drink.

Jesus said He is going up to heaven but He will send US the Holyspirit who will teach us and guide us through ALL TRUTH,
it is left to anyone to accept the Holyspirit and allow the Holyspirit GUIDE you through all TRUTH.

just my 2cent.

let whatever anyone believe in Bless them,

Investment / Dangote To Buy Arsenal Shares! by yemmydavid(m): 2:50pm On May 24, 2010
Nigerian Aliko Dangote interested in Arsenal stake

Dangote is reputed to be Africa's richest man
Nigerian businessman Aliko Dangote is considering a move to buy a 16% stake in the club.
"Yes, he is interested," confirmed the 53-year-old billionaire's spokesman Joseph Okonmah.
Lady Nina Bracewell-Smith's shares are currently on the market with a price tag thought to be worth over £100m.
Last month she instructed UK brokers Blackstone to find a buyer, having previously given up her place on the club's board in 2008.
Dangote is reputed to be Africa's richest man, with Forbes magazine in the United States estimating his fortune two years ago at $3.3bn (£2.3bn).
His fortune was built on a business empire which includes the number one sugar production company in Nigeria, a cement factory and textile products.

606: DEBATE
Have your say on this story
He recently told Nigerian newspaper ThisDay that he had been an Arsenal supporter for a "long time", adding: "It started in 1980 when I forged a relationship with Mr David Dein, former vice chairman of the board of Arsenal."
Stan Kroenke and Alisher Usmanov and Arsenal's two largest shareholders and it was thought that Lady Bracewell-Smith's decision to sell might start a bidding war between them.
US billionaire Kroenke owns 29.98% of the club's shares, while Russian tycoon Usmanov holds holds 26.29%, but if any shareholder's stake reaches 30%, he or she has to make a takeover offer for the club.
Neither Kroenke, who also owns the NBA's Denver Nuggets basketball side, the Colorado Rapids MLS football team, and a stake in the NFL's St Louis Rams American football team, nor Usmanov has so far been willing to take that step.
And Blackstone, who have been advising Lady Bracewell-Smith for several months, have been looking for an appropriate alternative buyer.
According to the Daily Telegraph, the company has also spoken to consortiums in Eastern Europe and the Far East but the Arsenal Supporters' Trust is urging Lady Bracewell-Smith to lower her asking price.

Our God is not strict
who says God is not strict? follow d old testament well.
maybe papa is goin by d old testament days

@ ESSO

I Belive evrytin u said and i support u full time. but if u read my 1st post well, u will c dat i changed my mind wen i heard frm a student of d skool who was @ d scene of d incidence

- it wasnt a Chapel worship, it was a social evening (alos frm my source," There  was a gathering earlier in the day 9th june D CONVOCATION WEEK  to be precise and papa was in attendance HE PREACHED, Most students dint go with bibles. he called for another gathering in the evening which was supposed to be d social evening other WISE students thot it good to take their bibles 4 d gathering putting in mind that papa wuld be there and HE MIGHT PREACH AGAIN. that is why we have only 300 students who did not think of coming with bibles of the close to 11000 students in d skool. abeg na d students no reason well. they knw wat is obtainable in the skool and shld have followed it like their collegues.

- 185 students where expelled not 120 earlier stated and the othe 115 given one year suspension.

i am not saying wat happened in d skool is good o. E too HARSH  last last

Education / Re: Expulsion Scandal Rocks Covenant University: 120 Students Expelled by yemmydavid(m): 4:10pm On Jul 01, 2008
I av read d post with keen interest and i dint want to belive that the skool would expell students for not coming to chapel with bibles (thats rather too harsh) so i was supporting GAMINE frm the start.

but now i change my mind my reason, i had to confirm frm a student of the skool who is very close to me and was in the hall @ d time it happened , let me quote the person

"its was a SOCIAL EVENING GATHERING not A CHAPEL WORSHIP THINGY . students where roaming around in the hall. the chancellor asked everyone to keep quiet, seat down and organise themselves trust students to be who they are most of them refused and d chancellor asked everyone in the hall to raise thier bibles am not sure Y and those that do not have theirs should come out 300 students came out. of the 300 students that came out, 185 who had a record of offence and some UNLUCKY 1st offenders was expelled and the other 115 1st offenders where sent on one year suspension immediately."

frm my own point of view i think that was rather HARSH. the fact that it wasnt a WORSHIP service even makes it worse. are students expected to wear their BIBLES like DOG-TAGS around in skool?
