All these back and forth, pasting your appointment letter in the public domain will solve all these problems.

That's the only proof that you're actually employed.

Here you go

https://www.icirnigeria.org/fccpc-seals-off-popular-abuja-sahad-store-over-irregular-price-fixing/
Thank you very much for this response. I checked the links out and discovered that, although, pricing is among the reasons but they were accused of 2 things, implementing prices different from what they have on the shelf tag (that is deceit, and is fraudulent). Secondly, they got products of companies (like Caprice and stallion) that had long shut down and no longer in existence, meaning they were either selling expired products or they changed the products into pirated bags of caprice and stallion in order to deceive people to buy their products.

In order words, they were picketed for fraudulent and sharp practices. And for that, I just they were made to face the consequences probably after having their day in the Court.

Thanks for informing me on the deregulation part.

However, my question is this....
When they visit and lockup supermarkets for uncompetitive practices around pricing, does it mean supermarkets are not deregulated too?
Pls give me the link where it says the reason the supermarkets were picketed was pricing. I need to check that out because the last time I checked, supermarket products were not regulated and there's nothing like price control. It's strictly forces of demand, supply and location that determines the price. Do well to paste the link here and let Nigerians check it out. Then I'll respond to that.

Thank you.
NYSCRe: FG Confirms Adire Fabric As Replacement For NYSC Khaki by yemre: 2:43pm On Jul 02
Adire people should get ready. Awon lo kan. They will make so much money and be thankful for this initiative from the federal government.

Now, this is a business opportunity staring a lot of people in the face but some people will still find fault in this and complain about not having a job.

This is the time for serious people to take positions.

FCCPC suddenly cant bite cheesy cheesy
FCCPC will not bite because the downstream is fully deregulated. That is the reason we no longer queue up for hours/days at the filling station. And at this point, I doubt if there's anything even the government can do about it because any step at this point might result in some hostility and resistance from the oil marketers.

The only way out is to encourage enough competition. Issue about 10,000 import license to just any company or organization willing to go into the business. So that we have more people importing and more filling stations litter everywhere.

Maybe by then, the existing ones will learn to price their products reasonably.

Otti is a useless governor. He can’t build simple drainage to contain the rain even if all the rain for one year fall in a day.

Suddenly “Flood is bound to occur” and “Nigeria don’t dispose waste properly”; but if na Lagos, na Tinubu we go blame.
Are you saying that the roads constructed by abia State governor in Aba have no drainages?

BusinessRe: Petrol Import Landing Cost Drops To ₦983.92/Litre, Below Dangote’s ₦1,125 by yemre: 6:18am On Jun 29
I hope some people can now see the reason I was against those who claimed that we were not supposed to be importing again just because we now have a local private refinery.

For crying out loud, fuel was sold for #739 when crude was sold for $70 in February. It climbed to #1324 when crude was $120 . Now same crude is back to $68.8 and the fuel doesn't want to come down in the same progression. Someone should please tell me why a liter of fuel should be sold for more than #710 as of today if not for exploitation!

These people are in business to make money and it's just unfortunate that we don't have enough competition in the downstream sector of oil and gas industry. By now, we should have about 10 other local refineries competing for customers.

In the absence of that, pls let's have about 100 companies bringing in petrol into the circulation.
CrimeRe: Don't Buy Phones Without Receipt, He Was Arrested Because Of This by yemre: 6:39pm On Jun 28
To put it in proper perspective, don't ever buy a used phone from anybody, whether with receipt or not!

Even the new one you are buying, ensure you buy from a reliable source. I won't mention names or brands so it doesn't sound like an advertisement.

Buying a million naira worth of phone for 300k will do you dirty than buying your brand new touch light phone with your 30k with pride and peace of mind.

Be guided to avoid stories that touch.

PoliticsRe: Remi Tinubu: Why The Outrage? By Soibi Versatile by yemre: 7:35am On Jun 28
Honestly I am ashamed for some educated illiterates. Remi Tinubu was not even referring to them yet they carried the matter on their head like gala.

Remi Tinubu has made donations/grants (free money, not loans) of #50k each to petty traders and was now addressing them on what they can do with the money, which was obviously a suggestion even while she has donated billions on health matters also in the same environment.

The matter that has absolutely nothing to do with them, but because they are idle and have too much of free time on their hands, they would not even bother to listen to the entire story before attacking the innocent woman.

It boils down to the upbringing of most of them. And it's just unfortunate.

I'm sure most of them think the government would just wake up one day and start dashing them 1 million naira each. To them, that is when they would know that the government is working.

While I know that all these are political, people should not be hasty to pass judgement when they've not heard the whole story.

Even the person who recorded it mischievously removed the gifts and donations part but brought only the kulikuli part to the public domain. Isn't that bad enough?

Wet know the reason BATISTS are happy about the bill is they think it gives them room to push security issues to the govs while shielding their fraud
Unfortunately the same bill says terrorism falls under federal jurisdiction so you should know that the state police is not being created to fight banditry and terrorism. It's being created to reduce the workload on the Federal police especially on routine and basic policing matters
Just imagine your reasoning! I've always known there will always be some people that will have diarrhea over every good news. I guess you're feeling good with the state of insecurity in the country.

You're the real definition of your Monica😂😂

CharlesCNG:

State Police: Could This Become Tinubu’s Greatest Legacy?

If state police finally becomes law under President Tinubu, it may rank among his most historic achievements.

For decades, Nigerians have complained about insecurity while operating a policing system too centralised for a country of over 200 million people.

Kidnapping, banditry, communal violence and rural attacks are often local in origin, yet security response is controlled from afar.

That contradiction has cost lives.

What makes this moment important is not merely that the National Assembly is moving the bill forward. It is that a broad consensus is forming around an idea once considered politically dangerous.

Governors want it.

Many lawmakers support it.

Security realities now demand it.

And the bill attempts to answer the biggest fear: governors’ abuse of police powers.

If Tinubu can shepherd this reform through the National Assembly, secure the approval of at least 24 state legislatures, and help build safeguards against political misuse, he would have achieved something previous administrations discussed but failed to deliver.

State police will not solve insecurity overnight.

But it could transform Nigeria’s security architecture by bringing intelligence, response and accountability closer to communities.

Subsidy removal may define Tinubu’s economic courage.

Local government autonomy may define his federalist instinct.

But state police may become the reform that most directly touches the safety of ordinary Nigerians.

If done properly, it will not just be a policy win.

It will be a legacy.
Honestly bro, you said it all. And on whether the approval of 24 state legislatures can be secured, that's a done deal because I don't see any state that will downplay the issue of kidnapping and insecurity at this present time.

We need the state police abeg. Let the indigenes, who understand their terrain be in charge of their own security within their own territory.

blackgold2018:
so you get sense finally.

For me it’s a game orchestrated by your government. Deep down they don’t want this bill to see light of the day. By end of the day something must happen to disrupt it. At the end Tinubu will carry the praise for attempting to create state police but never happened.

If Tinubu want this bill implemented, he will see through it. Weather it means to release more funds.
This is under the state portfolio. Tinubu can not tell them how to do it. His only responsibility is to get them the approval and the legality. How they choose to do it is up to them. By law, Tinubu has his own limitations when it comes to matters that do not fall within the federal jurisdictions.

Passing is not the issue but the implementation

The state governors have already been asking for more funds on a bill that's yet to be passed

They gave out their intentions early
Any state that takes security seriously will make financial provisions for it's implementation. Any state that sees the funding as an issue here is not a serious state and should be investigated!

Nothing can be more important than security at this point.
