First of all, the landing of an imported product has nothing to the taxes of the country of production.
There are different grades of petrol across the world and we al know that imported petrol today in Nigeria disappear faster than spirits in Nollywood. Those imported evaporates quickly and let's not forget the marketers selling imported sells 0.7 litre as 1 litre. The 0.3 cheat is there profit 0.7 as 1 litre is the lie used to prove imaginary competition theory.
Finally, Buhari did nothing helpful to Nigerian farmers. Government across the world subsidizes fertiliser, provide cheap electricity, security, lower to no taxes etc. Which of this did Buhari provides?
He provided and still went ahead to increase the minimum wage in order to make Nigerians poorer. As if it was not okay, Buhari partnered with CBN governor Godwin Emefiele to print nairas and make Nigerians more by currency devaluation.

Very good post. However, this doesn't take away the corruption endemic here. Your point 2 about imported fuel drying faster than the locally refined can not be substantiated until physically and transparently proven. Even your third post about foreign fuel marketers dispensing 0.7l in place of 1ltr can not be substantiated too.if it's possible, that should be attributed to negligence on the part of the regulators because it simply means that the marketer has been short changing the public on something needs to be done about that.

In Victoria Island, I will not mention the names of the filling stations involved but trust me their importers of their fuel are complete. Although at a point, they were short changing the public but I think the rebranded and then everything changed for the better. I buy fuel from them so I know what I am saying. But that doesn't mean this short changing don't happen anywhere else in this same Lagos.

Anyways, thank you for your post. It's an eye opener.

The funny thing is... even if Amaechi agrees to step down for Obi, he would still not win the primaries because odogwu (Atiku) is in the race and we no dey give shishi 😂. Even majority of his own obidients would end up voting Atiku. If you doubt me, check what happened in 2022 PDP primaries where 120 delegates came from the East and 5 eastern candidates were in the race for the presidential ticket. Despite being sponsored to the convention by their respective parties from the East, it was alleged that only 15 votes went to all the eastern candidates combined. Where do you think the remaining 105 votes went 😂😂😂... especially when it was alleged that one of the odogwus was sharing hard currency 😂😂😂

The last time an incumbent southern president was defeated in an election was by a northern candidate backed with a section of the south.

To remove Tinubu it has to be a strong northern candidate paired with a strong support from a section of the south.

Putting up a southern candidate against Tinubu may result in victory for Tinubu. The northerners may vote Tinubu because they’re guaranteed power after his second 4 years.

Peter Obi vs Tinubu in an election will favor Tinubu more.

I suspect those pushing the narrative are working for APC either directly or indirectly.

Tinubu vs a strong northern candidate is what can remove him from that seat.

Our goal should be to oust this government and party first.

And you forgot that even the northern candidates that unseated the incumbent was with the major support from the southern sponsor who went all out to ensure success. Let's the the northern candidate who would gather such popularity and let's see that southern sponsor that would go all out for the northern candidate this time, especially with obidients shouting Obi or nothing.

Even Obi has said if the primaries becomes transactional, he would run away. What do you make of that!

Oga,its very possible your club sold those guys adulterated drinks, check your staff they can easily bring in counterfeit drinks and mix with your stock and you will barely notice......your original drinks will be taken out and sold on the streets......you really need to be more circumspect and check your staff thoroughly.

Not debunking your claims completely tho but when making comments on this kind of matter, you don't take sides. You already took side with those guys and that's so wrong. The club owner has challenged them to come forward with the proof that they were present at the club as claimed, the receipt of drinks bought with their name or any form of paymentade confirming that they bought drinks and the medical report or proof claiming that what they claimed is actually true.

You don't just make allegations without proof and then someone like you is already saying it's possible.

Have you even ever been to the said club or you're just bitter that someone is running a club.

That's how they want to run their show. Remember they like taking shortcuts. That's why they give others the freedom to mock them with "lack of structure" mantra.

I don't know how (on this planet earth) someone is able to claim membership of a political party without the certificate (PVC) that empowers him to approach the polling unit.

Do they even remember that INEC and other observers will be present at their party primaries? Little wonder they always ask that Obi be given the ticket as a gift on a platter without encouraging him to contest for it (if he's that popular).

And this further confirms their principals online popularity even when more than 90% of them lack the common sense to go do their PVC registration and now they are using membership card to claim relevance.

And unfortunately, there are no polling units online. So, you see the difference. Let them keep dreaming!

See, I don't even care about the tribe involved, it applies to everyone who see him or herself as criminal. It's not just right. People arrested in Thailand today, India tomorrow, South Africa next tomorrow. Yet, some people still believe it's either that crime or nothing. Kilode!

And these people have families oo. These are somebody's fathers, mothers, boyfriends and girlfriends. If they can not pity themselves and the name of the country they're tarnishing, they should at least pity their family members.

I wasn't supposed to enter this thread because I should have already known those involved.

All the same, I will continue to say it, crime has never paid and it never will.

By now, so many people are supposed to have had a change of mind in engaging in all these illegalities, especially considering the rate at which they're being caught, arrested, shamed and put behind bars on a daily basis all across the world.

But the dog that would get lost would never hear the sounds of the hunters whistle.

Those that would be jailed, may they serve their jail term in peace. And those that would be made to face firing squad, may their souls rest in peace and their treatment serve as deterrence to other aspiring drug dealers.

Omo Nobody uses Dangote cement like that Again. They are building a massive housing unit near my house and after one year of building they never used Dangote Cement. What may be happening is builders who have years of experience will know which is the best without the hype and advertising and will buy tons of other brands that are just as good, better or cheaper.

Dangote cement will be cement for people building small structures because the owner will lack the experience and go for a " name ".

Dangote Cement is taking a major hit because it's an open market now

Well, here in Lagos and suburbs, Dangote still have the market! And that's why I said that part of the reasons the competitors are still being obscured might be awareness and marketing! They're not doing enough.

I trust my Lagosians, just a difference of 500 is enough to dump Dangote cement for the next provided it's equally good. Everyone needs same quality products for a lower price.

The prices of goods and services in every country is controlled by there central bank monetary policies and ministry of finance fiscal policies and not some imaginary stories used to deceive you in school.

I disagree with you on this. While your submission has some substance, it's not 100% correct in this our black country, considering the greed endemic in us. Interestingly, this goes beyond Dangote, it applies to majority of Nigerians.

Fiscal and monetary policy, yes! But remember the narratives of landing cost when Dangote hasn't started refining. Have you not asked yourself why we stopped hearing about that since Dangote started? Why do you think that the nupeng did everything possible to frustrate the refinery by using his oil workers sometimes last year?

When you make an importation for a product with the landing cost of 1,000 (taxes incl.), you can choose to sell at 2,000 (if you're the only importer). But imagine that you have about 50 other competitors! Some would want to sell at 1,300 for the turnover.

Back to Dangote, he bought crude here and refines here. Why should his own price be anywhere close to that of the importers who pay heavy logistics, shipping, customs etc! Even when he brings in crude, he still enjoys owning all of the bye-products.

Remember your farmers whom Buhari tried protecting by placing embargo on rice importation. What happened shortly after? Local rice simply moved from 6,000 to 75,000! Even without the cost of shipping, logistics and insurance!

It's just what it is.
