nairalanda1:What a very smart response sir. When I school some of our people on this issue of subsidy removal, most of them call me names, as if they're the only one bearing the consequences of this subsidy removal. I got to know about this subsidy as far back as 2003 when Obasanjo first mulled the idea and I foresaw some positivity in it as someone just coming up because I knew it would get to this. It's hard tho but there will never be a perfect time. Now that subsidy is gone and there are no semblance of ever coming back, our rich business moguls should approach their banks, make the bold move and rescue the country. It's a large market and definitely whoever invests in the sector would not regret it. |
blesdman:Very good point bro. BUA, Mangal and even lafarge are relatively unpopular in the market as much as Dangote. That simply means they are not competing enough. This could be in form of marketing, awareness or even product durability and quality. But the leverage remains the lack of stiff competition both in cement and petroleum products. It's the major reason I would not discourage fuel importation despite having a local refinery because it's not just enough for effective pricing. |
Well, the op is right to a large extent. However, I still wouldn't blame Dangote. He's a business man. Why is it that, of all the people that have been given the license to build refineries, none of them have started anything? Dangote could do this freely just because there are no stiff competition from anywhere despite being the 6th largest oil producing country in the world. Imagine having about 10 other refineries of same magnitude or even bigger, scattered around the country, why would he not comply? It's not as if we don't have people who have such money to build but the greed and the immediate gain mentality would not allow us do the right thing. ...and as a result, we all bear the consequences of our inactions. |
iamfraud:Hahahaha...this stone you are throwing ehn, God is watching you in 100D o.... Put on your thick skin for the bashing from the obidients because they will soon bombard you. 🏃🏃🏃 |
Honestly, these criminals have consistently maintained the same pattern over the years. Despite bringing shame to their country being their stick in trade. Yes I'm from the west but we no dey condone nonsense. Let the law take it's full course. |
Someone who has not bought a presidential election nomination form or even contest to win primaries in his party is already dreaming of first day in office! Wahala be like wetin sef? |
The only thing that has brought them together is greed and they can never move forward collectively because it was never a collective intention. They should enjoy their coalition in pieces. |
Yorubasarecurse:The right thing to do is appreciate before you criticizing. I am not even Southeasterner but a good thing will always be a good thing . None of your previous governments did all these but you never had the ground to complain. Now someone has done it and rather than encourage him to do more, you are here crying that what he did is not good. Even with this one he has done, do you know the level of development it will bring in the next few years |
Crime has no tribe. Be it Igbo or Yoruba or any other tribe, a criminal remains a criminal, and he who can do the crime has voluntarily shown the willingness to do the time. So he committed murder and ran back to Nigeria, thinking he's now insulated from the consequences of actions? How wrong he was. That is why I have always told people, live right, be careful what you do and what you put out there. So long as you live on this planet Earth, you are never unreachable. You can only get away with it if they don't think it is what their time. But if they have your time, you will be sorry. |
maysimsimple:You never read through, you just rushed to comment blindly. |
jamafa:Leave the guy, they never wanted the development in the first place. |
owobokiri:I have always known that you people would still feel bad and criticize this good news. The previous governors and government that did not do this, you did not criticize. And now someone who saw the need for this has done it and you are not even happy. Na wa for you o . Enugu state government should continue the good works. The subsequent ones should come and build on it I would time everywhere would open up. As for criticizers, criticism is free but do it with common Sense and open mind. |
We help strangers we don't know, let alone someone you once dated. In my own opinion, you can help her but with a condition! Send her whatever you need to send her but cut all ties with her afterwards. This is because if you allow her to keep coming back or keep in touch, it's just a matter of time she will start cheating on her husband with you, and I'm sure you wouldn't want that (if you don't pray for such for your own wife). The reason you need to assist her is so that she would know that life can be funny. Besides, we all date most times, not knowing what the future holds. She has seen you as someone who could assist at this point. So help her and move on. After all, she's now married and keeping in touch would only make her life worse. |
IbrahimSola:So, because there's no police report now she should keep the money. right? Well, I don't know what to call you but you are entitled to your own opinion. |
danvon:Why don't you use your glasses if you find it difficult to read to the end. The idiot of a lady has blocked the guy and all the other numbers used to call her were also blocked. Can't you read? |
Baawaa:Little does she know that she can spend her youthful years behind bars because of 100k. I just wonder what is wrong with some people. This money does not belong to you and you cannot be nice for once. Na wa o. Small time una go complain say una no see husband marry. If this matter escalates now, which man on this planet earth would ever want to have anything to do with you? There's no need begging her. The owner of that money should go a step further and get the police involved. She already roped herself by her nonsense Whatsapp responses. I hate nonsense. |
Amaechi should get ready to be insulted by obidients because of this statement. It is not their fault, it's just how they're wired. |
madridguy:🏃🏃🏃🏃🏃This 2-legged table you're shaking ehn.... God is watching you in 3D |
Only you, murder. Only you, drug trafficking! Pele, your free flight to the UK is enough consolation. Stay away from crime, mbanu! |
And why should I be surprised? They can never learn. They will never hear. Just leave them alone |
LegendHero:Very apt response, especially for those who have eyes but find it difficult to see, for those who have minds but find it difficult to reason rationally or difficult to do an objective analysis of issues in order to form their own personal opinion but only follow blindly either from hatreditis or just to join the bandwagon. |
Ofunaofu:Pele o, Mr almost.....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 ...almost never kills a bird! Una eyes go clear 😂😂😂😂😂 just make sure you grow some shock absorbers before then. |
......and who is that person that have said Soludo is not trying in Anambra. In the history of Anambra, Soludo has been the very best. If in 5 years he's achieved all these, he deserves an accolade abeg. I'm not even from the East but will always commend good performance by any political office holders and pls we expect to see more. This development must go round. And if you're not happy with this just because you don't like the governor or because you just naturally hate good things, you obviously need some evaluation. In all honesty, I love the kinds of news I'm see from the East these days. So, encourage them so they can do more. Meanwhile, our South West governors, we are waiting o. In all fairness, Lagos is trying. We need more both from Lagos and the rest of the South West states. Ogun state especially, we need enough infrastructure. Ogun state is growing due to its proximity to the center of excellence. So, the infrastructure needs to grow. Thank you for your attention to this matter. |
9jatriot:Your last paragraph has all the truth combined. Obidients are in for a long ride. But then, why am I concerned? They walked into this with their eyes wide open, ignoring all the red flags and the flashing lights. But trust their principal, he will soon fly! He'll probably defect to about two parties or more before the end of this year. Haha..... we're watching in 3D |
I just wonder why these people can not stop bringing the name of their country into disrepute. Must you do drugs? Is there no other legit business you can do apart from drugs? Well, I hope they're enjoying the disgrace they're bringing to their family name. Nonsense and ingredients |
Bwala's last paragraph says it all. No cap! |
helinues:Most probably |
Sermwell:You're so pained. Pele. Live with it. |
Confusion and incoherence in display |
lonelygem:Is it that you couldn't comprehend the guy's message or you were just wanting for this post to vent your anger? I'm sure you're not a northener, neither do you have more than one wife and probably 3 children (that's if you're married in the first place). Someone has aired his opinion and calling the attention of northern adults to what they need to work on and you're here just heaping every blame of the government. Fine, we all know that the government might have failed in some of its responsibilities but before you grow up to know about the government, it's your parents you first know and whether they like it or not, they owe you the duty to bring you up, train and educate you. Now I can see you wrote in good English up there, meaning you're educated. Some people can not even go to school because of loads of their parents responsibilities cause by their own carefree attitude. In my own opinion, the journey is very far because their politicians whom I would have said should be in position to start educating them on the implications of this lifestyle are also guilty. I know many of them, popular ones, who have more than 3 wives and more than 10 children. But I believe we can start from somewhere. Awareness is key. But which government will start that? It is well |
You all like to bash and curse Tinubu but it is so glaring to the blind he doesn't even send you. He only concentrates on his job and whatever you say is none of his business. Secondly, the fact that the greed of the opposition parties members would not allow them put their house in order is even giving President Tinubu the upper hand he already got. Keep hating while he keeps ruling and winning. |
