If you want good camera, no take indoor pictures o just snap outdoor and you will like it. Go to white balance in the camera setting and change it from auto to fluorescent.

I'll be traveling from Lagos to St John's NL Canada in late August. I have been tweaking options to see how to get the best fare. I have checked for direct from Lagos to St John's, or from Lagos to Toronto/Montreal and then local flight to St John's.... still not sure what's better. I will appreciate suggestions and advise from the gurus here.

Hello Gurus in the house,
A lady has just passed her medicals and got a request to submit her passport. Previously she dropped her passport with her brother(in Lagos) shortly after her Medicals,now she wants the guy to assist her with submission(and probably collection).

She will send her passport request letter to the guy so she can submit along with her passport. But she needs clarification on the following

(i) Must VAC consent form be submitted along with the passport?
(ii) If yes,can she complete,sign and scan the form to the third party so as to assist her with submission(and perhaps collection)?
(ii) If the passport is submitted where she did her Biometrics,what process is involved in making the Biometrics office bear the transmission cost(as informed)?
(iii) When the passport is ready,will they send to the address she filled at her Biometrics or the third party can indicate her preferred point of collection?
(iii) In case the third party were to pick up the passport for her,how does she go about it?

Your guidance will be appreciated,and the whole gist will be shared afterwards,thanks great family.

I just got someone to submit my passport for me yesterday, so I can give answer based on my experience.

i. Better to print, sign and package the forms with the passport request later for the person. If they need it, fine. If not, no harm done

ii. Scanning may be poor quality. Me, I just packaged the signed forms and sent through those inter-state transport people. Best way to ensure same day delivery

iii. No process at all, I even sent the money with the person. He was told that I don't need to pay anything. They did not ask for or collect any money, except for what I paid for return courier delivery

iv. I think you have to come back to the same office to pick it up or pay for courier delivery, in which case, you give hem address to send it to

Yes, I believe they gave you a tracking ID at VFS, use their tracking tool on their website and you will see it if they've uploaded it

That's frustrating! I just submitted mine yesterday. Is there anyway to track progress of your passport after submission?

I have not posted here in a very long time. I got frustrated about this whole Canada visa thing and was trying to focus my energy on other things.
But finally, after almost 12months of waiting, approval notice and passport request just dropped.

I know I must come declare here and thank the good people here for all the assistance ad information I received during the long wait. I cannot mention names, but thanks to everyone here for the good work you do. The good Lord shall bless us all with approval notice and passport request

Timeline:
upfront medicals in July 2018
Online application - August 03, 2018
Biometric request - September 04, 2018
Submitted Biometric in Lagos - September 05, 2018
Medicals passed - November 23, 2018 - after several emails
Eligibility review started - May 2, 2019 (after I applied for my GCMS notes and several emails)

Approval notice and passport request - July 01, 2019

I'll have to check the documents I submitted and maybe update later.

Na so them charge me 30k plus fee for ordinary 3 small bottles of Manuka honey about 2 years ago.

I just got a notice from DHL that says

"Shipment has been given a release by Customs. Unless there is an adhoc exam or a stop by another regulatory authority the shipment will proceed to delivery"

Why can't reseller just create a PDF template of their pricelist and upload. Once clicked it saves to Ur phone. Whenever you need reminders of various prices, you just open from your phone with or without internet.

That way we don't need to search Nairaland for various sellers and their pricelists cos you already have it on Ur phone.

Secondly, you only post updated listings instead or repeating the same thing over and over again.

Thirdly, the same PDF can be attached to Ur signature and downloaded at will by anyone Interested, all u need is a mention.

For me this would make the thread cleaner and saner. My 2 Kobo....
