I don't think that's for sure, these guys are becoming more confusing. I received a CIC email message from LDNIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca which is the London office, I was sure that my application is processed in London until I see that the email signature shows Immigration Section – Section de l’immigration 4 Anifowoshe Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria Lagos.immigration@international.gc.ca www.nigeria.gc.ca Anybody experienced this before? thompson1510: |

123abcclown: I don't know much about UK and USA, but i think volume of applications is the main factor here. Remember that average processing time for Canada study permit from some countries is like a week or two. |

realanago: I thing anyone can be your sponsor, you just need to convince a VO on the connection between you too, with affidavit, sponsor letter, copy of ID etc and if possible, the sponsor making some payment into your account to show commitment |

makano: Although am also very concerned about the long wait for this study visa thing, but I just wanted to say that, to be fair to these VOs, we must realise that a lot of background processes goes into processing and granting visas to foreign nationals. Especially for a country like Nigeria that the Western world always suspect anything we submit as forged or fraudulent. No too visa applications are the same, so comparisons don't make sense. The background checks are out of the hands of the VOs as they are conducted by Security agencies. Sometimes, anything phony in a person's records could prolong the background checks. Also, sometimes they delay processing a visa just to make sure they get all information possible to be fair to the applicant, rather than refuse on the first sign of unfavourable information. Lastly, because Canada and most countries now use the Global Management System, applications are not allocated to anyone specifically, VOs just pick the next available application from the pool once they are free, problem with this system is that if there's any issue with an application, it is returned to the pool and will remain dormant until another free VO picks it up... Let's just try to stay positive, get on with our lives while we wait and remain prayerful.. It is well! |

I think it is very unrealistic to expect anyone here to tell you what your chances of getting any visa are? Even a visa officer won't be able to answer that question until they have reviewed all your documents and seen reports of background checks... Abeg, get all your documents together and submit your application, then join the nearest prayer group . If you need help with any specific thing during the preparation/submission process, ask and people might be able to help. My 2cents! Peace! |

cream4eva: Since you're applying from Nigeria, just choose the Lagos visa office as the office handling your application (they will add your document or pass it to the right office). Type your message in the box and submit, the next page will bring a link to upload your document(s). Easy |

worldazzling: It is easier to use Google search for questions like this. Anyways, here is a link to 20 low cost schools in Canada https://uscollegeinternational.com/2018/02/04/cheap-universities-in-canada/ Admission requirements vary by school, so one can tell you if it's possible to get MBA admission or not, just check the requirements for your school of choice. And your grades in your last 2 semesters of study also determines if you qualify or not. 1 Like |

mathy001: No, I don't think you need bibliography or in-text citation in research statement/intent except you're required to write a formal research proposal. And no, not required in SOP as well, I think, as it's not an academic document. 1 Like |

bankylan: Well I think all Canadian Universities are 'world class', so he can definitely get world class MBA from any one of them. Se Unis are just more popular or have more history than others and I don't think that justifies paying the millions they charge in fees. Except if you're a Naija politician or have billions saved somewhere |

Omowunmibaby: I think you will need to check individual schools for their admission requirements. Just pull up list of universities in Canada from Google and check them out. Although, I suspect that most Canadian Universities will accept NECO. I don't know about refunds, but again that's usually not a problem as schools know that visa is never guaranteed. |

teefinix: No. I do not think self sponsorship affect your chances of getting the study permit in anyway. In fact with 12yrs work experience, I believe the visa Officer will expect that you have earned and save enough to sponsor yourself. Although that long work experience also means that you have been out of school for long time. You may have to explain/convince the VO in your SOP why you're going back to school now after so long, how it improves your career prospects and why you choose Canada. All the best! |
