Greetings Y'all.
My experience at the University of Ibadan PTDF center was pretty straightforward. I had my interview yesterday at around 9:45am.
Following my arrival into the interview room, I was instructed to sit by one of the panelists (they were three in number). Thereafter, I was asked to introduce myself, which I did immediately. Further, I was told to spell my surname as they could not easily grasp it (at this point, they were verifying my details on the system).
One of the panelists quickly collected my file, and perused all the relevant documents present. The other two were just corroborating the details I had filled into the system during the profile updating period.
Shortly after, they started reading out my qualifications which I nodded in affirmative.
Then I was asked to present any awards I have, but I told them I had none. Thereafter, I was told to present my publications if I had any. I told them that I've five publications.
At first, the lead interviewer was pretty shocked, and he asked, 'how is it possible to have five publications all in one year'? In fact He appeared to be astonished. For your information, all the publications came out in different months in 2018.
The other interviewer asked when I graduated, and what I have been doing following the end of my Bsc and what I'm currently doing, all of which I carefully did.
They were still dumbfounded with respect to the number of publications I had (as a first degree holder), until I brought all of them out, after which they started perusing them one after the other. They asked me who each co-author on each paper were to me, and I answered appropriately. I believe this cleared their doubt (lol).
Then I was asked the ultimate question, 'what do you want to do'? Well, I answered the question to the best of my ability, and that marked the end of the interview.
FYI, they didn't not even look at my SOP neither did they ask me any questions related to it.
Best wishes guys, God's Grace will speak for us all. |

Sheddy79: Bros you need to worry in this case! the portal scores automatically for each award/publication uploaded. the secretariat might find it difficult reconciling scores awarded at the interview centre that was not uploaded in the portal for verification. If you observe carefully, you will discover that the portal was redesigned this year to contain proof of awards/publications, consequent upon what they experienced last year from the interview panellist at the field. After been briefed by a ptdf staff, of these developments, i insisted that my awards and publications must count. I made a case for my self at the secretariat and the portal was opened for me to enter my remaining awards and publications, just for one hour, after which it was later closed. TO GOD BE THE GLORY! We'll all be fine Sir! Best wishes. |

Sheddy79: its not fair at all! Sometimes, we don't need to worry so much about certain things. It's very simple, understand your SOP, go to the interview venue with everything you've got including all your publications and awards. These guys (PTDF) and their selection panel are aware of the fact that some folks might have more than two awards and/or publications. So the onus is on you to prove yourself that you are a Scholar. Cheers! |

Please how do we know if we've been invited (if I'm correct) for the CBT test? Further, how are we to know the exact location where the test will take place in our selected states?
It seems they'll contact us via SMS or email as has been stated in previous posts.
I look forward to a response from recipients of the Scholarship and/or previous applicants.

Here, porous magnetic resins were synthesized via a simple co-precipitation technique and applied for recovery of two types of phenolics. Natural phenolic compounds play an important role in cancer prevention and treatment. Phenolic compounds from medicinal herbs and dietary plants include phenolic acids, flavonoids, tannins, etc and are responsible for their chemopreventive properties (e.g., antioxidant, anticarcinogenic, or antimutagenic and anti-inflammatory effects).

scarplanet: Following a paper publication, you should be issued an E-certificate of publication for free. You can also choose to get a hardcopy certificate but you will have to pay for it.
If you havent been given the e-certificate, send a mail to the journal.
But i will advise you to print your paper publication when going for the interview (if called). The interview panelist might not really appreciate the certificate of publication.
Cheers. You're on point Sir. Many thanks for your continued support. Regards. |

AKB1: Include your paper's ISSN, ULR/DOI. You can also add any publication certificate but I don't think it's necessary (check PTDF advert on publication) As stated on the publication section, you need to input the authors' names and initials, year of publication, paper title, journal title, volume/issue, first and last pages of the article. In accordance to what Scarplanet said, kindly go to the interview venue with the hard copies of your publications. May we celebrate at the end. Best wishes! |

If yes, it means that we'll be applying to nine schools in total? Please, help out in clarifying these things. I'm a little bit confused. Thanks in advance. |
