Hello guys, my sister got admission to a Canadian school. She is married with two kids (3yrs old & 1 yr old). Can she apply for visa for all of them or she should just take the 1 yr old. Thanks in advance |
I didn't finish from Unilag, but the recipient for my transcript was my boss. It read "The Manager, Mr Ademola....ABC Limited. Lagos, Nigeria. ddoc100: |
The work permit and Family re-unification is another category of long term visa. They are just stating clearly that those applying for that category (work permit and Family re-unification) should not apply through the student long stay visa. obianorafael: |
The CBN has 6 different FX windows and each have different FX rate. Dangote as a business man will use a separate window from the one students will use. And banks borrowing from each other will also use a separate rate. The 6 windows are: 1. Interbank - banks borrowing from each other (in bulk o). And this is known as the CBN official rate - N349 2. NAFEX - (Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange window) 3. NIFEX - (Nigerian Foreign Exchange window) 4. I & E window - (Investors and Exporters window) 5. SME window - (Small & Medium Scale Enterprise) 6 SMIS window - (Secondary market Intervention sales) and this is where Form A belongs. The rate at which the CBN sell to banks in the SMIS window is usually close to that of the parallel market. And according to CBN rules, they are not allowed to make more than a certain percentage on the funds, I have forgotten the actual rate but i think they can't mark up more than 200bps (2%) and because of the tight competition within the banks, they can't even maximize the whole 2% sef. So it's not as if the banks are ripping us off, it's the fact that in Nigeria we have multiple exchange rates. Often times, it is cheaper and easier to buy from the parallel market, and that's where i bought mine before coming. The only advantage of buying from the banks these days is the fact that you are guaranteed that it's not "fake money" and that you are buying from real source as some banks don't allow you invest the money if it's gotten from the "black market". I hope this helps. NB - I am not a staff of Zenith Bank NelsonOBN: |
I believe it should be A. All applicants who fulfill one of the following criteria can register with the “A - list”: 1. holding a TestAS certificate with a standard score of 100 - 130 2. holding a very good B-1 language certificate from the Goethe Institute (90 points and more) or 3. holding a good B-2 language certificate from the Goethe Institute (80 points or more) or 4. holding a bachelor's degree with a grade of 1. Class - 2. Lower Class and being accepted for a master's degree (also a DSH course-related admission to the master's program) or PhD study in Germany or 5. holding a scholarship from a German institution for a study or a PhD in Germany or 6. holding a signed “Aufnahmevereinbarung” / hosting agreement concerning your research fellowship with a university or research institute accepted by the “BAMF” You only have to fulfill one of these requirements and No. 4 applies |

Hi guys, I did my interview Dec 28 and I am yet to get AM. This is the 7th week now. I have emailed the embassy 3 times- no response, called the foreign office in my city and they referred me to the embassy. I used blocked account and funded before my interview. Pls who has any idea of what might be happening?? It's frustrating |
Early Dec..., they got back to one in a little over 3 weeks and the other after 5 weeks Jeschi101: |
Congrats. It takes about 4-6 weeks to hear back from the embassy, could be less if you have scholarship. This happened to me for the last winter admission, my school said they cannot interfere in the process neither can they grant an extension. I had to forfeit the admission. But from what I have read on this page you can reach out to your school and ask that they give you an extension. Ask for one month extension and pesent that as an additional document during your interview. All the best quote author=Bastelbastel post=75268688]Good evening everybody. I am new here. Thanks for making this platform worth visiting. I have gotten a lot of information here that have really helped me. I secured admission to study Micro and Nano Technology for the summer semester in Munich. So yesterday night I sent a letter to the embassy to book appointment for visa and I got a response this afternoon. My schools resumes on the 15.03.2019 but my appointment is scheduled for 28.02.2019. Now my questions are there; How long does it take to get a response from the embassy after the interview? can my school influence it so that I can get an appointment for an earlier date so I can meet up with the resumption date? has anyone here such an experience before? Please i would like to know. I will appreciate every response given here. thanks
|

Got admission into Hochschule Kaiserslautern, campus is in Zweibrucken. Google doesn't even have anything to say about the Zweibrucken city. I love small cities, but this just seems too small with no info to even arm myself with concerning student jobs or accomodation. Looking for someone with any info on the city pls. quote author=Kenthumphz post=74500420]
|
you can call them or email them if you are really worried and they will respond. physle: |
I got my confirmation on the day of my interview. Had to print it at the car park for N1,500 per page ![]() Pentagonparagon: |
Yes o. I registered late for the winter semester. After I received my admission letter, I couldn't get an interview date and the school refused to give an extension. I even emailed the embassy with my admission letter and the rest and i was told there was no date available. But you can still try. Everyone's story is different and you never can tell. Ndkings1: |

For most schools, application deadline is 15th Jan. But check the deadline for the school you want to apply to. Get all your documents ready and send using any top courier service, they deliver in 3 working days. As for the proficiency letter, I sent mine to a friend's office and collected it. Soothing: |
The dorm account can be anyone's. it's just like a normal transfer. If you have been using the bureau operator for other FX transactions, you can take the risk. in 2-3 days, you will get confirmation for your transaction from the German bank kendoschurrle: |
Almost the same with the parallel market rate joor, difference is like 1 Eur If you can, open a Eur dorm account and buy Eur from aboki and transfer. sagbar: |
