Guyman02:
Meanwhile Ifeanyi Ubas TAN has several Bill Boards showing roads built by GEJ and why Nigerians must vote for him in 2015. I wonder how he travels to his village in the East if it is through the roads on the bill board.
That eediot? He takes advantage of the Onitsha-Owerri express road to his village built by OBJ. Thank God SEasterners are waking up to the fraud that GEJ is. Where is Insincerenigerian and his cohorts when you need them. GEJ would be in for a rude shock next year, Ndigbo selling their conscious since God knows when.

Deltagiant:
The earlier the young generation start using their brains the better they can improve on their common senses. Intelligent historians have tried to piece the Ezechima puzzle and concluded that it was a reverse migration that began in Igboland. Please, ask yourselves the following questions:

1) Chima was the first Obi of Onitsha, why is it that all his immediate children that succeeded him bore Igbo names: Obi Chimaukwu, Obi Chima efi, Obi Oraeze. Even when it is very practical these kids were born in "Benin" outside Igbo speaking land by a supposedly non_Igbo speaking Chima?

2) How long did he and his entourage trekked from Benin to Onitsha to have lost their Benin language?

3) They stopped in Obior, Obampkpa, Issele ukwu etc, very good. Were they losing the Edo language at each stop in these towns and to whom?
How many months or years would it take you to lose your own language, if at all possible?

4)A story corroborated by even the Edo website was that Chima and his followers were also having problem with the Oba because of the shrine of the Ezechima people. The name of this Shrine was and is still called UDO. There is no Udo and there is no Onitsha, it is their symbol that they have carried for ages. This said, UDO shrines can only be found in Igboland in places like Onitsha, Nnewi, Ekwulobia, Ogidi, Ukpo, Abagana etc. My question here is: what was Ezechima and his followers doing with the Udo shrine in far away Benin? Where did they get it from?

6)At the same time that Chima was reported to have arrived at the place called Onicha in the 15th century, another strong historical figure called Chima from Ohafia in the present Abia state (Orofia in Anambra dialect) was establishing towns and villages in neighboring towns around Onicha. He established villages in Ogidi, Abagana, Ukpo, Abatete, Nimo and so many. The eldest man in Orofia village of Abagana is always given the title of CHIMA. So, my question is: who is this Chima? Some historian are now begining to theorize that it could be the same man from Ohafia who travelled to Benin and returned back after so many years of sojourn. Thus the reverse migration hypothesis that is fast gaining ground.

Please, i need only mind boggling responses.

Mumu what has this got to do with the great Ndigbo?
Virtually all his spokespersons are Yorubas.
I'm not good at name calling so watch your mouth, never into the business, only for kids. That he hasn't done anything tangible for Ndigbo doesn't' mean i have to keep quiet. I fear for our Biafra.

The pertinent question is what's wrong if Ndigbo pick one of their own and support? Why must it be GEJ? Are we telling Nigerians that we don't have capable intellectuals in our midst? Even if GEJ has turned the SE to an El Dorado as you want me to believe, why can't we send one of our own to Aso Rock?

Thank God say people head for SE don dey correct small small. Governors and other prominent sons and daughters of Igboland not present, only on Nairaland do i see support for GEJ making me believe most GEJists here are paid agents.
Politics › Silly Ohanaeze Again by Yeske2(op): 1:22am On Sep 30, 2014
As South-East govs, others shun Igbo Day
Apex Igbo organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo
yesterday vowed that the South East would
produce the next leader of the country after
President Gooodluck Jonathan’s second term.
Ohanaeze’s position came just as governors of
the South-East geo-political zone and other
prominent sons and daughters of Igbo land both
in government and private business shunned the
Igbo Day 2014 celebration in Awka, Anambra
State.
President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Gary
Enwo-Igariwey, who made the pronouncement at
the Igbo Day 2014 celebration held at Alex
Ekwueme Square, Awka, said an Igbo succeeding
Jonathan was the only way to ensure equity and
justice in the country.
He said: “My fellow Ndigbo, there is no social
order without a political process. We reiterate that
for equity and justice, Ndigbo will seek the office
of president of this country at the expiration of
the tenure of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
This has been Ohanaeze’s position since 2010
and it remains unchanged.
“We will continue to build bridges with other
ethnic nationalities towards this cause.
Participation in the ongoing voters registration
exercise should be mandatory where we reside.
Our strength should come from our demographic
weight spread all over the country.”
He added: “Very soon, after consultations, our
people will be called upon to speak with one voice
on the issue of president. We did it before and we
can do it again.”
Speaking on the theme of this year’s celebration,
“Ojemba, Chetakwa Ala-Igbo,” Enwo-Igariwey said
it was imperative for our people to repatriate their
working wealth and invest it at home (Ala-Igbo).
Let me quickly point out that those of us who
make this call do so from a deep sense of
responsibility and patriotism both to the Federal
Republic of Nigeria and too our Igboland.
“Our call is not in any shape or form the product
of parochialism or sectionalism or informed by a
hatred of one united Nigeria, far from it. In fact, it
is an action, if heeded that shall even go a long
way in sustaining the fragile fabric of a united
and virile Federal Republic.

Politics › Re: Who Believes The Lie That There Are More People In The North Than In The South? by Yeske2(m): 1:16am On Sep 30, 2014
Why blame the north? OBJ accepted Kano was more populous than Lagos, GEJ accepted 21,000 extra polling booths to 8,000 in the south and who am i supposed to blame? Southern Nigeria witch hunting itself since 1914.

Remarkable: Come on, don't fall for that boy's intentionally selective crap...

Even if GEJ did all the stuff he highlighted, he will still have things to site that GEJ hasn't done in other aspects of socio-economic infrastructure etc...

A fair assessment of the president will be to compare what he has done for other geo-political zones...
The federal roads he has fixed/completed in the SE, is it less than those completed in the SW? SS? NW etc?

it sure would have been good to have a refinery, but was the SE the only zone overlooked in citing a refinery?

There was a thread sometime ago sincere Nigerian opened about the things GEJ has done for the SE, those don't count?

Even if it seems like crumbs, how much did the SE get under past administrations? and isn't APC threatening to keep the SE aside if it gets into power for not supporting it?

if not GEJ, then I ask you, Manny, who then?
Mention one federal road that has been completed in the SE under GEJ.
The Yorubas and Hausas still gunning for the presidency even after having shots at it but Ndigbo waiting for an Ijaw man to 'dash' them.

maestroferddi: We are in democracy and the rules of engagement is different from what obtained during the military era.

Most of you guys are yet to shed the carry over mentality of the military days.

For you to taste power in a ballot-based democracy, you must ride on the goodwill of other players in the political scene. Whether you accept it or not, Jonathan holds the levers of power at the moment. It will be foolhardy for the Igbos to allow themselves to pander to the whims of enemies who remain envious of the gains the Igbos have made under Jonathan's administration by following an amorphous opposition and end up getting stranded midstream.
And what are the gains the Igbos had made in GEJ's administration? I guess ministerial appointments. I could forgive Igbo politicians who sell Ndigbo for crumbs because of selfish motives but supposedly 'educated Internet savvy' people like you, I give up.

Don't bring the Yoruba or Hausa into this, what stops Ndigbo from picking amongst ourselves or are we telling other group of Nigerians that we are incapable of ruling this country?

Chiwude: Which useless 90% will vote for Jonathan. Nwokem speak for your household and not Igbo in general. Let me tell You: the day any major party fields an Igboman for Presidency then you will be shocked to see your paymaster GEJ lose the S/E. Afterall has he - Goodluck - not tasted power? Have the Ijaws nay Niger-Delta minorities not tasted power? What else do they want. Apart from the so called ministerial positon, what else have we gained from GEJ's government. Even in that sector we received insults from the presidency. The sacking of people like the former minister of Power, Stella Oduah and Festus Odumegwu of the NPC just because some Yoruba's and Kwankwaso wanted them out. Even in the military and paramillitary do we currently have any serving Head of even a division after the unjust sack of Ihejirika. In the economic aspect what have we gained? The Enugu Int'I Airport is not even 50 percent completed. Do we have good Federal roads in the S/E. The Enugu - Onitsha road is the worst in the federation. The Enugu - P/H road which was only given a patch work is now filled with holes as big as a mine field, just as it were before. The Owerri/Aba road - which was part of the original Onitsha - Owerri - Aba road awarded by Obasanjo - was long abandoned, before Rochas started the Owerri section of that road. The Oguta sea port project has been abandoned while the Onitsha port is no better than a glorified warehouse. Even when the FG was siting state for the construction of refineries the S/E was ridiculously bypassed. Non oil states like Kogi and Lagos were chosen ahead of Imo and Abia. What have we gained? Nothing. The only think I think we have gained is being used as a sacrificial lamb for the Goodluck presidency by enemies of Ndigbo. Massacres and killings have been carried out on our people living in the north as revenge against Goodluck. Whenever GEJ fails to do anything meaningful, the Yoruba quickly blame us - as if Jonathan is an Igbo. For me, any Igboman that sell us for a pot of porridge is destined for a very big calamity and curse to his lineage. Haven't we supported Goodluck enough? We've supported him even when the chips were down. Despite not antagonistic during the fuel scarcity era, Ndigbo suffered more than other tribes during that period. How many tribe travel home in bulk during the festive period if not Igbos? Many of us who traveled home for the Christmas holiday couldn't return back to our base till February, some person had to sell off valuable properties before they could leave the village. Have we not reciprocated him enough (at least for the burial of Eze gburu gburu Dim Ojukwu). If Goodluck means well for us, then he should shed his Political ambition and pick an Igboman - from Anioma or Obigbo, I don't care, as long as he has Igbo blood flowing in his vein - for Presidency in his place. Afterall all the civilian Presidents that have ruled this country from the days of Balewa have all been hand-picked.
Nna, you've said it all and nothing More to add. I see this silly GEJ till eternity slogan and you think the SE is a Paradise now, check out Onitsha-Enugu expressway or is it Enugu- PH express do we talk about? Thank God OBJ finished Onitsha-Owerri before he Left.
Politics › Re: 2015: Jonathan Splits Igbo by Yeske2(m): 10:58am On Sep 29, 2014
I wonder why Ndigbo can't find someone capable to be President amongst themselves instead they are busy cowering behind the Ijaws and thinking GEJ would hand over the presidency to them and other Nigerians will siddon look. Continue your GEJ till 2050 and let's see who'll cry last. No wonder people say Ndigbo should leave politics for those who know how to play it and face making money which is what they know best.

Faun: I'm not following Chino and his foolishness. I will never post negative pictures of Anambra. I'm not an i..d.iot.
What I'm calling on Chino to do is post the El Dorado pictures of Anambra that make it the greatest state in the world, since he spends a great deal of his time denigrating others.
He even attacked Spyder880 here, telling him to stop posting pictures of Anambra if they're more than 3 months old, yet that picture of Zenith bank (with the Guinness advert and Peugeot 504 car) is 3 years old.
He's about to be disgraced on this thread if he fails to deliver.
Free chino please, nobody would ever visit Enugu or Owerri and ever compare both cities to any part of Alaigbo. Let's not derail this thread please, ka udo chia. Anyi bu ofu.
