Yea, because Awolowo is still alive abi? Cowards.
Olodo, that was when he was still alive. So whatever Achebe is saying isn't new, already in public domain just that Achebe decided to speak up against it and you lot are busy defending 'Black Hitler' |
^^^You're a deceitful bastard, just like the idio/t that edited this video to make it seem like Biafra asked for payment b/4 food aid could be delivered; notice how they cut to Ikemba mid-sentence? What i can gather from what he said was that if Biafran gov't got financial assistance (didn't see where he said mandatory payments) it would help with the war effort.....or were you expecting him to just clap his hands together and money for the war and running the country would appear like magic? Bloody propagandist!
We all know what they all are good at. . . .fabricating propagandists. I thought i was the only person who noticed that glitch(editing). Fools. |
The best solution for all these wahala, is for someone to write a book from an unbiased view point. Achebe was a Biafran, so it's understandable if he piled most of the negatives with the Yorubas. Unfortunately, his views are biased. I don't understand how he could name the Hitler (Ojukwu) almost blamess.
You could be right about Achebe speaking as an ex-Biafran but Awolowo never disproved what he just said, no? |
Rossikk: If you attack Ghandi, you've attacked every Indian man living and dead.^^ If you attack Hitler, you're in trouble with the Germans? Awolowo = Hitler. |
Awake9ja: wat is wrong wit ds yorubas? They would support their own, good or bad. As good as the Germans talking of the Holocaust and speaking good of Hitler. |
Intellectual response and i expected something else not same BS haters of truth are spewing all over the net. Go hug transformer for the singular fact that someone decided to say it exactly the way it happened. Oshisco! |
shymexx: That wasn't 'starving' - it was a blockade... And red cross and other organisations were still allowed to get food over to biafrans, anyway....Blockade should be for anything military and not food, still remains a war criminal. |
whitecat007: YOU HAVE NO OIL IN IBOLAND.Are you for real or new here? |
shymexx: I posted the UN charter on another thread a couple of days ago - and the blockade wasn't done to kill children and women... It was done to force the overfed Biafran soldiers to surrender and stop the delusions of fighting an unwinnable war... The war was pointless in the first place - and Ojukwu should've surrendered when the support from the world powers was non existent... However, he wanted to prove a useless point to salvage his bruised ego - only to end up running like a coward... Achebe also ran like a coward to America...Nnamdi Azikwe deserted his people as well!!I mean where starving should be made a strategy, even POWs are still fed. This makes Awo a war criminal. |
Prof Corruption: I ignore an obvious fool and move on. Why don't you publish it where it is stated in UN charter that you must feed your enemy during the war?Got ya point Prof, name calling when it hits you so hard. So much for upbringing. I guess you could help pasting the UN charter for all to see where it was stated explicitly that defenseless women and children be starved as a strategy of war. |
Prof Corruption: What part of the quote is difficult for you to understand?Read from the beginning Prof. |
shymexx: Brother, you're missing the point... Awolowo never denied the blockade, albeit it was allowed under the UN charter during wartime by all member nations... However, he's not a war criminal because blockade is fair in a war, and it was justified to stop the pointless war....Exactly my point, why the current furore over Achebe's statement when Awo never denied it. Never in UN charter was it stated that defenseless women and children be blockaded, it amounts to war crime. Google is your friend bro. |

Case is between Achebe and Awolowo, Soyinka is reverenced in the east because he is fearless and says it how it is. Waiting to read his take on this. |
I need just ONE person to disprove Achebe with proof(s). Support a war criminal any day but the truth still remains constant. If you no gree, go hug transformer. |
Am i missing something here? I thought these were the same policies Pa Awo defended while alive and Achebe only stated same stuff which is common knowledge. Truth no matter how bitter must be told. |
alaoeri: Are these ppl f00ls ni? Pushing a plane faAwon t'ilorin fa, e en len'fa |
Speechless. |
See gutter talk like original Amugbo Omota that he is and come to think of it, whose money are we talking about here, private or Lagos'? |
bashr8: your stupidity did not allow you to reason well but its expected from cursed yorimbas. your stupidity also made you forget mushin market is filled up with yorubas and when they finally build whatever they want to build there no matter how expensive, guess who can afford it? yes your right the same igbos you fear so much , mumu people , if you like demolish every house in lagos e no concern us , we are capitalist when ever you stupid yarimbas finish destroying the livelyhood of yorubas we igbos will come buy up what is left . go and ask them what happened in abuja.cursed people deporting yo0ur fellow yoruba and now destroying the poor and middle class yoruba means of surviving and selling assets to european, indians, asians and igbos, mumu people.Well said, love it the way you gave it back to that loud mouthed cretin. |
Very gory pictures, smh. |
^^ ? |
CHESSBOARD: Stingy Yoruba man, see the kind of food he gave Orji Uzor Kalu, Bread and stewYou funny o, how your eyes reach that side sef? |
Save your aggression for Orji Kalu who fired non-Abian workers from public service. Were you this passionate then? My dear, you have a complex issue when it comes to Yoruba. Unless you were also deported, that would explain your zealous posts on this topic.
It is Theodore Orji please and i'm waiting for what you'll tell Fashola about his kin he deported to Onitsha. |
Danka7777: Point out where I derailed and we can discuss deeply into it. I have studied deeply into the civil war, and as a professional, I never speak with facts. This thread isn't about the war so i wouldn't help derail it more. |
Danka7777: Point of correction: The 38 properties belonged to Sir Louis Ojukwu; Ikemba Ojukwu's father who was a very, extremely wealthy man in his time. He, Ikemba didn't spend his money. He usurped the properties/monies of his siblings passed on to them by their late father to financed the war. And No, he didn't love his people, millions of Igbos were killed for his selfish agenda and he absconded out of the Country. If he really and genuinely loved his people, he would have stay in the country and die for his people as did Gaddafi. Honestly, the prestige he is held to him by igbos isn't deserved at all, in my judgement. For all igbos who haven't studied deeply into the civil war, go and do so and get a first hand knowledge of what happened. You unfortunately derailed. |
Nonsense, as if she had progressed any further since independence. 52 year old overgrown baby. |
As for Bianca, she brought this on herself so no pity for her. She just lost her husband and is supposed to be lying low till at least a year according to custom instead of rushing to the press every now and then. She can't win in court and she knows that. |
This case is serious, shall be back. |
^^ You wan kill me. |
I will tell my mummy for you. |
If the protest would better their lives, good for them. Bunch of nitwits. |
