this news of extension, i pray is true. 2 interns in my place of work that exited oct, i have already filled their nov n dec time sheets though no payment for us yet. if u ask me, i think its a system error from GIS since they haven't come up with an official statement regarding the extension.

I will suggest that you should go and check your account balance from the nearest ATM to you for confirmation...a fellow intern in my firm did not receive the alert yesterday but he checked through ATM this morning and the result is positive

However, from antecedent, there is likelihood that both October and November payments schedule would have been made, but they wouldn't pay it once, possibly a week interval. That's how they paid June and July, if anybody can recall.

Pls let leave that aside, the tweet continue as usual.

If you taken your time to observe you find out all federal staff nation wide have not been paid and from information reaching us payment may get to next year before it will be made available. Don't know if because it's the Christian celebration at hand that's causing the delay in payment or something else, if you recall during the Muslim celebration period we got our stipend on time. Just my observation and if that's the case we should take our mind off stipends this year.

initially no. but we were later asked to write our names on top of the work book. may b (not sure) if they will look at best proposals and then put a call.

Gis just used this training (wit d brkfst n lunch) positively to educate us and at d same time to relax our mind n divert our attention on payment knowing fully well it would take this long. Payment is next week.

Days after completing the exit training, i was called by GIS to write an action plan. I got there and we were very few.. I filled up a business plan amounting to 2.2 million and gave it to them.. They then gave us our transport fare back home. Please what could this mean?

guy dias hope, i c something positive at d end. Did u fill any 5yr action plan on d last day of d training? Cos they asked us to so on d last day, then they photocopied it. My only worry is that i took it for grated.

Well...i'm surprise oo! How come those who were matched by Dec got exit mail while i was matched by Nov and didn't get exit mail or msg infact those who are making our timesheet just told me that i was included among those whose timesheet will be marked for this November stipend?

if u were matched nov last year is normal for your Nov timesheet to appear, may be thats how the system is programmed. because interns that were matched Nov in our firm, their timesheet also appeared, i noticed it when filling TS for d month of Nov yesterday. (they have long received payment for Nov, last year)

That is true,from my conversation with the lady frm Abj,GIS may continue beyond 2015 because many steps has taken place to ensure it continuity e.g removing SUREP logo from GIS,preparing GIS budget for 2016 for approval, consistent meetings between finance perm sec and the present Govt on GIS issue which she believe is fruitful,and the youth emplyment agenda of Bua... So when the budget is approved which is likely,then GIS is good to go.On the issue of late payment of stipend she blamed it on TSA,but she said they are aware of it and that steps are currently being taking to solving the problem.

on continuity i agree with, cos they are still verifying and approving more firms. on late payment, they should have opened up and inform us that they do not have data of whom to pay because of their suspended site, hence the delay.

My boss just told me now dt he received email frm SURE P telin him to recruit more pple online. So he called one of dem n was told dt sure p is stil on dt dey r working on hw to upgrade dere site,dt it wil work soon. So nobody knws yet if it wil continue fem next year
