There is no exact amount in naira as shown in my example. We only have exact in pounds. Exchange rate fluctuates daily and bank charges differs too. That’s how come I paid visa fees with 3 different banks and they deducted different amounts from me.

This issue of card payment is so annoying. My dollar card refuse to be delivered since a month ago. I ended up telling my brother to pay from UK and I refunded him.

Just Incase anyone needs the info. I use 3 debit cards to pay for visa fees for main applicant and dependents. GTB deducted N176,280 and some, Standard Chartered N197,200 while Access bank deducted 201,140 for the fees.
The transaction was on Saturday though

Please someone said she got an appointment for her dependents 2 days earlier than herself. She is the main applicant but She is unable to adjust it. Will TLS allow her swop appointments?Who has experienced this and how did you go about it please? Thank you

There must have been an error because the IHS checker calculated you and your dependant's IHS at £750 (£972.107) each.
Try to start over again, exit the portal, restart your browser and start again. If you're unable to do proceed past that stage, contact UKVI to see if it can be resolved. If that fails and you go ahead with the payment, the ECO should normally send you a message to pay the difference before a decision is made.

I just tried it out for a dependant on a course duration of 2 years and it brought up £750 (the normal cost for 2 years) and didn't change to £900 until I imputed a course end date of over 2 years, 6 months.

If it's a mistake as I suspect from the cost you mentioned and you need to pay more, you'll be contacted by UKVI before the application is decided.

What exactly are your course start and end dates?

Please is IHS not the same for dependents? I saw 780 USD instead of 975 USD that was charged for the main applicant’s 2 year course. Tried to go back to see if there was no error but it won’t let me.
I entered the course end date for visa expiry, could that be why?

The government is trying to control the high exchange rate and money hoarding (bc they don’t want people to withdraw at less rate abroad & sell high to black market or people). But limiting or stopping online payment transactions is just absurd. Now what happens? People go to black market to buy at high exchange rate just to fund their domiciliary accounts for common online payments.
How will the exchange rate fall, when there’s higher demand of foreign currency than supply?

This is just insane man.

Or
On the new portal, simply fill the form for yourself, and click on ‘Add’ in the appropriate place to add your deoendants.

Please what forms do dependents fill when applying with the main applicant. I mean I can only see General Tier 4 students and others. Can anyone provide link please �

No, it's not. You submit your online application, pay IHS, pay visa fee and book biometrics appointment.

Just X-ray for adults. Children under 11 will only be examined by a doctor.

Three hours. You must report very early so you can get number 1-7. The chest x-ray is 2mins then you wait for certificate for approximately 50mins.

I doubt this will still fly by September. They were proposing a £60 test fee for a family of 4 as at yesterday. In other words, every traveler is tested for a Covid 19 on arrival. It will become clearer before September I believe.

This accommodation thing is now a dicey situation. Yes, ideally one should do Bed&breakfast booking for a few days while looking around for one's most preferred accommodation but with the 14 days quarantine rule coming into play having to provide an address at the port of entry, that doesn't seem feasible. It seems one would just have to take the risk of paying for a place in absential (without physical viewing).

With my own understanding, The course you choose to study, the university and the location of your university will determine that. The school will also notify you if you will need a police clearance. I will be studying MSc Adult Nursing in September and my school has requested I should come with police clearance at enrolment. Confirm with your uni to be properly guided. Hope this make sense.

Tier-4 visa does not require Police report. Police report is for Canada study visa.

Please I would like to confirm that the study visa application doesn’t include police report? Haven’t heard much about this here.

Yes, I am clear on the maintenance part but not certain if it is the balance of the 2 years fees or balance of one year.. cause her bill was showing year 1 and year 2. Is it the balance of everything or balance of year 1 after paying deposit?.

I will be going with two kids and my husband as dependent and my course is 2years duration.
I believe the maintenance fee is for 9 months as stated in the UK website
So you are to have balance of your school fees + (your 9 months maintenance fee)+ your dependent maintenance fee(9months) i your account for 28 days including weekends before you print out for your visa application. It is advisable to maintain the balance for like 31 days though
