Please I need to clarify.
If someone is applying for PhD right after masters. PhD is sponsored by the school. When applying for study visa extension, are dependents expected to submit POF again?

Initial masters was 2 years and wife has been working since then. Read on gov.uk if one has stayed for over 12 months need not show POF but not sure. Can anyone who has extended study and lived over 12months confirm please

Ha please don't mislead people o. You are talking 2018 when this rule started last year. Even my brother couldn't travel in September 2021 because of this. He had to forfeit the ticket at the airport and bought BA at a ridiculous price because he urgently needed to travel that night.

tundeloveday:
Where do u book your flights from?
Also what do u understand by Airport transit visa?
If you book a flight that requires ATV, then it is Self-transfer and you won’t even be allowed to board the flight right from the original country you start your journey because it will be part of the checks that will be required before you get your boarding pass. Quite unfortunate that the person who brought out the discussion has already booked the flight as I was a victim in 2018 when I booked flight to Nigeria from London through Italy but it required me to have a schenghen visa before I could even start my journey. This is not a battle of knowledge between you and me. I suggest people should always book from www.skyscanner.net They always advise on these cases on flight- bookings

Please I still need advice on this? Anyone?
Yimi4real:
Hello, please I need help. Came in to the Uk September with my family. Either myself or hubby wants to start driving ASAP..especially cause of school runs and moving about as a family. We came with international drivers license and we have a car to use but which insurance would you recommend that is flexible and more pocket friendly. Hoping to learn from your experience please. At least we can drive till license expires then do a few paid lessons later and test. Please advise. Thank you

With BA, you are entitled to 2 x 23kg for your check in bags and also 23kg for your hand luggage but the hand luggage can’t be big in size. They have specific requirements for the width and length of the box.
Although not all passengers had their hand luggage fit into that requirements when I traveled but if you are constrained with space, put more weighty stuffs into your hand luggage and you can also tell them to add your hand luggage to your checked in bags for you just before boarding
Nattiejt:
Good evening my people!

Pls I want to confirm, BA said I am entitled to 23kg × 2 luggages.... does that mean that each luggage will be 23kg each or does it mean both luggages must not exceed 23kg?

For PTA... if i am to change naira to pounds, what is the maximum amount in pounds I am to carry?

Help a sis @mimilyrics

Arrived safely in Newcastle this morning.
BA booking was to Newcastle but of course, landed in London first before we proceeded with a local plane. For those having connecting flights, please ensure you have at least 3 hours in between your flights when booking that would give ample time for any delay. BA left an hour later than scheduled plus you need time at London airport for immigration and checking in. Border was a breeze, they only asked “where are you going and what course?”

If traveling with kids on BA, ensure you pack something for the kids to eat on board Incase they don’t want the food served. I didn’t like it too but thankfully we had a back up.

Was welcomed by family with a sumptuous poundo and Edikaikong before sleeping for hours after a very hectic weekend.

Thank you all for the support I received here, and to those still processing, wishing you all the best, we look forward to welcoming you HOME.

Had same issue with one of my dependents... after all the paid back and forth email, nothing came out of it jare, the lady said since there is no refusal mail attached to it...but you can try mailing them too, for the records.
AKB1ofLagos:
Good evening @mimilyrics and @justwise thank you for the wonderful job you do. I just collected my dependant's vignettes but my daughter's did not come with a BRP letter and her vignette is for 2years not 3months. Have you seen a case like this before? If you have what does it mean? Is it a mistake or she did not get the letter because of her visa duration? Do you have the UKVI email that i can send the complaint to as I am travelling very soon and I would love resolve this before leaving. They are coming middle of next month with their father.

Thank you for your consistent help here.

Live update from the airport!

Covid 19 test not required for BA flights to the UK. No one is asking BA passengers for it and they are checking in freely as I watched. The BA staff giving boarding pass also says it’s not necessary but ensure you fill the passenger locator form and print after filling online.

PS
Not traveling today just had to go there cause I heard conflicting news. Please stay safe nonetheless.

Your answer should be no then. The next question is - what is your accommodation plan? Then state what plans you have or have made towards accommodation.

Pls..I do not have an accomodation yet..what do i fill for the column - 'do you know where you would be staying in the uk'?

Have you filled a dependent form? Even if you are all going together, the form requires the dependents fill the visa expiry date of the main applicant even if he hasn’t gotten his visa yet. For some, If you fill his course end date as his visa expiry date it will give you a lesser figure to pay than what you should. If everyone is traveling together and one person is required to pay less it’s just better to address it. This is not for everyone, just for those concerned and it doesn’t affect getting visa, they either send a mail for the applicant to top up as they did to someone here or you perhaps pay later at the higher rate.
KOVIC19COVID20:

Not your biznezz to add any additional month. Let dem deal with it.
Just input course start and end date and dazzol.

If it’s for depend and, and the main applicant has already travelled and has got BRP, then I think it will be the expiry date on the BRP of the main applicant.
Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by Yimi4real: 9:03am On Sep 07, 2020
No, it’s for dependents who didn’t get the appropriate IHS fee. If at the point of paying IHS you realize the dependents IHS fee is lower than that of the main applicant and you are all traveling together, then add months because you are all required to pay same. It is not for everyone please
smocky:

Are you saying to just input course start and end dates not the extra months on main applicants visa?

Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by Yimi4real: 8:53am On Sep 07, 2020
Yes, you paid the right fee
Luseyi:
I am surprised some other persons got a different IHS fee when they inputted course end date.My dependants and I paid £450(=$612) each and it was my course start and end date I inputted, I didnt have to add 3 or 4 months extra.

PS: my course start date is 05/10/2020 and end date is 28/09/2021.

I hope I paid the right fee o
