The thing is Nigeria system doesn't favour ordinary Nigerian, the system is designed in a way that you must involve in something bad before you accumulate wealth, which is very bad, in Nigeria you can't be rich from or as a salary earner.

Health / Re: Can A Diabetic Foot Be Treated Or Best Amputated? by ylordy(m): 6:52pm On Sep 23, 2023
HomoSapiien:
There’s a brother of mine who’s been admitted to the hospital for about a week now. Man is pain.

He’s always been diabetic but the foot got worse this past week and he’s been admitted. Unable to eat and sleep. I’m really scared for him.

Doctor gave advice that the foot is amputated to prevent the spread to the entire leg, but his families are objecting to this saying that they’d prefer to treat him.

My question is, is it best to treat him or get the leg amputated?

What are the chances of his survival doctors in the house?

File Photo: for illustration

My Dad has been in the same situation the doc said amputation is the best that the stuff have damaged most of his toes bone but my mum disagreed we went traditional the wounds closed up and he is working with the leg uptill today.

Go for herbs and traditional medicine, when I saw my dad's leg then I thought it will not be able to make it the foot divided into to you can literally see his bones... But now everything is fine now.
Religion / Re: Modernization In The Church! I Felt Odd by ylordy(m): 1:10pm On Jul 02, 2023
OluwaLina1:
Happy sunday nairalanders.
I moved to a new area(Student area) and decided to attend a nearby church.

These are what I noticed.

-- I was the only one that used scarf.Even the choristers and the female ministers didn't use scarf.

--Almost all the female members are putting on trousers, ladies that put on gowns/skirt are not up to 20%.
I was even surprised that the two female ministers and the female choristers also put on trouser to climb the church alter.

--During prayer intersection,I noticed everybody were praying in tongues and it seems am the only person not filled with the holy spirit to speak in tongues.
Even when we were asked to pray on our offering, people still prayed in tongues.

And it just seems I'm odd among them or is it that am not modernized?
the thing is that they are being christian, I don't think the bible adviced us against not wearing head tie or females not wearing trousers and the bible said this sign shall follow them...they shall speak in tongue...
Religion / Re: How Many Of Billions Of Christians On Earth Do You Think Would Make Heaven? by ylordy(m): 9:54am On Jun 11, 2023
jesusjnr2020:
How Many Of Billions Of Christians On Earth Do You Think Would Make Heaven?

According to Wikipedia, there were approximately 2.4 billions Christians on earth.

That makes Christianity the world's largest religion.

Ordinarily that should be something worth shouting about for an adherent of the faith, however considering the fact that Christianity was not about what men see but about what God sees, how many of those billions of Christians do you think were actually known to God?

How many of them were actually saved and bound for heaven?

I saw a post a brother shared here not too long ago concerning the general overseer of RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.

It was about what God once told him about the hundreds of thousands or even millions of people that would attend the Holy Ghost congress from every part of the country and beyond during one of those annual gatherings.

God told him He didn't know up to a hundred of them.

Now kindly take a deep breath and ponder on that saying, so the meaning could sink deeply to enable you grasp it fully.

Out of hundreds of thousands or even millions of people, God said He knew less than a hundred of them.

That's less than 0.1 percent, which means that more than 99.9 percent of Christians attending that particular church program were bound for hell from God's own point of view.

So just imagine that compared to what many Christians believe.

Doesn't that already show how far they were from the reality of heaven?

The only reason many Christians will be surprised by that reality is if they allowed themselves to be deceived by doctrines and ideas of men in the church, and not abide by the Truth and Words of the Spirit which Jesus preached, because Jesus already taught us that the way that gate that leads to life was narrow and that which leads to destruction was broad.

Matthew 7:13-14 (KJV)

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

This is the reason why He asked us to strive to enter into the gate that leads to life, because it's not easy to enter into it as many have been misled to think but hard.

Luke 13:24 (KJV)

Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

It's the gate that leads to destruction that's. not hard but easy to enter so you wouldn't need to stress yourself or strive to enter because it's broad.

That's why we shouldn't be deceived by the mammoth crowd gatherings in some churches, because most (not all) of them were broad as the gate that leads to destruction, in the sense of the gospel they preach, as it is that which was appealing to the flesh and what men want to hear, hence many go in, but the end thereof is death and destruction, because the flesh profits nothing. It's the Spirit that gives life.

That why we should follow the example of Jesus (the Narrow way) who preached the Word of the Spirit, regardless if it offended many of His false disciples and make them to leave because of His preaching. John

It better to have a few church members (200), and just 10% (20) who were bound for hell, than to have many church members (hundreds of thousands or million) and less than 0.1% of them were heaven bound.

God bless.
if they are all believers all of them will be in heaven.

Paul Nwosu

Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, Governor of Anambra State is gradually making good his promise to turn Anambra State into one huge road construction site, all in a bid to ultimately make travelling around the state easier and pleasurable.

To this end, Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) recently approved and awarded contracts for the construction of a flyover at Ekwulobia to decongest the hellish traffic jam often experienced at the roundabout. Other ancillary structures and facilities to be built around the Ekwulobia hub are, a bus terminal building, fuel station, security office building, fire station and other external works such as sewage treatment facilities, drainage, landscaping, etc. All the construction work will be handled by A.V. Vision Construction Nig Ltd at the cost of N10,100,000, 000.00 (ten billion, one hundred million) and the work is to be completed in 18 months.

Also to be constructed by A.V. Vision Construction Nig Ltd are the Isuofia to Nanka Road with spur to Nanka/Obi Adimorah Road (2.2km and 10.3m wide) at the cost of N748,000,085.05k (seven hundred and forty eight million, eighty five naira, fifty kobo).

HE Obi's delusion of grandeur reminds me of Pastor Tunde Bakare's similar kind of rhethorics during the APC primaries before Nigeria's next President, Asiwaju Tinubu, trumped him by over a thousand votes at the APC Presidential primaries.

Obi is just like the unpatriotic ipob terrorist group elements promoting his campaign on social media for now; their own delusion of grandeur, acting violently against the reasonable and patriotic Nigerians of Igbo extraction, makes them think they can have their own version of Lesotho that is inside South Africa in the Federation of Nigeria with no access to the sea and navy. smh

Apart from Ekiti where his party scored like 100 votes after collapsing into APC on eve of the state governorship election, this is it below; the last election lp scored a paltry 2k in an election with over a million votes at stake. Thank God that numbers do not have emotion.

Asiwaju Tinubu remains the best candidate, the most brilliant ,most competent and most patriotic of all the Presidential candidate.
Asiwaju will defeat PDP's Atiku in NW (PMB's base), SW (Asiwaju's base), NE (Sen. Shettima's base) and NC (5 out of 6 NC states under APC).
The PDP will take SE as usual while Asiwaju and HE Atiku will share SS.

A third-party candidate is the top choice to become the next president of Africa’s most populous country, according to a new opinion poll conducted for Bloomberg, the global television group based in New York.

A clear majority of respondents said they intend to vote for Peter Obi, a former state governor, in elections scheduled for February. The results of the survey conducted for Bloomberg News by Premise Data Corp. were published on Wednesday as the official campaign to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari kicked off.

Of the 92% of participants who said they’ve decided how to vote, 72% named Obi as their first choice. Of those who are still unsure, 45% said the 61-year-old is their preferred candidate.

The San Francisco-headquartered data company surveyed 3,973 Nigerians from Sept. 5-20. Respondents to the app-based poll were selected from quotas developed by age, gender and location across the country’s six geopolitical zones. Results were then weighted against the original quotas to ensure national representation. About 44% of Nigerians own smartphones, according to the Alliance for Affordable Internet.
The candidates of the two parties that have ruled Nigeria since the restoration of democracy in 1999 fared less well. Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress garnered 16% of decided voters and 23% of those yet to make up their minds. Atiku Abubakar of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party tallied 9% and 17% respectively.

A former two-term governor of the southeastern Anambra state, Obi is running on the ticket of the Labour Party, which won a single seat in the Senate and House of Representatives in the last election in 2019. The APC and PDP dominate both chambers of parliament.

In a relatively short time, Obi has built up an enthusiastic base known as “Obidients” — initially online, but increasingly in the streets — who aim to cause an upset on Feb. 25. Still, the Labour Party has a much smaller nationwide presence than the two rival parties, which are experienced at turning out voters across the vast West African country. Obi’s supporters will need to rapidly scale up their organizational infrastructure if they’re to capitalize on the campaign’s momentum.

Obi originally sought the PDP’s nomination before withdrawing from a party election that Abubakar, a former vice president and perennial presidential candidate, won in May. Tinubu, who used to govern the commercial hub of Lagos and is the most influential politician in southwestern Nigeria, triumphed by a landslide in the APC’s primaries the following month.

The five-month race to the general elections gets underway as Nigerians contend with soaring inflation, a plunging currency and pervasive insecurity. Production of the economy’s historical mainstay — crude oil — has also slumped to multi-decade lows, while the Buhari administration’s debt service bill in the first quarter of the year exceeded the revenue it was able to earn.

Three-quarters of respondents said that their country is heading in the “wrong direction.” A combined 88% listed the economy and jobs, corruption, and security — three pillars of the campaign that brought Buhari to power in 2015 — as the most important issues facing their communities.
