Big men don't back out easily like that, ego will not allow them do that.........he may start increasing his stake rather.

Otedola acquired 5.52% initially, he increased it to 6.3%......so far. He may vex and increase it again.

He has seen value in Transcorp and as a biz man, he will take advantage of it, moreso that Transcorp is a competition.
Transcorp power currently generates 86% of revenue in Transcorp, it is the backbone of TRANSCORP Plc.

Once Tony/HH Capital is able to control 50%,
Otedola 10% or more
UBA nominees roughly 10%,
Then, Free float will reduce to less than 30% (From 89%).

Shareholders okays re-structuring/re-organization of the stock.........it has commenced, and looks like it's going to continue to some extent......Free float is being reduced to pave way for price appreciation.

I don't think FBNH will be able to pay up to ACCESS for now.......but improved div payout may be a welcomed one.

Uninformed ones lined up their offers while the informed ones quickly came to grab them immediately market opens.
Some even came to sell down as low as 9.15 or so....

Its not news of interim alone that moved Fidelity.

The thing is, if ACCESS moves, UBA will most likely move too.
See the case of Fidelity and FCMB....

Sorry you've not been getting reply to some of your questions.......it's because they were direct, personal and no one way straight answers to them especially in this kind of forum.

From your question, you're not for long term, so:
If it were me, with access to real time trading, I'll still hold on and keep keen eyes on the price mvmts and news/updates around it to know when to sell....
OR
Sell once decent profit is made and move on.....
(You may not like Transcorp's "anger" when offers starts rolling in after both billionaires are done).
Strictly my opinion, I may be very wrong.

- 787.5M Deal done yesterday also @N1.85......

* If these trades were executed on behalf of Tony, then TOE might have overtake Otedola to become the single largest shareholder with 6.71% representing 2.684B shares in total.

* We wait for further updates on this..

MARKET TRADE
A total of 787,500,000 units of TRANSNATIONAL CORPORATION PLC were done as OFF MARKET TRADE today APRIL 18, 2023 @ N1.85 in THREE DEALS.
The deal was a NEGOTIATED one with UNITED CAPITAL SECURITIES LIMITED as BUYER and REWARD INVESTMENT LTD as SELLER.

This might be partly the reason for the quick price volatility today.
So by implication, TRANSCORP traded over 1.6B unit today alone.

Lots of activities within short period and then, they closed it @2.03. Oshey!

wife never know I sold off the huge volume we bought.over 10m units we bought then.

Otedola has deprive me my best Jijo stock.

Loco it can be very painful, not when you denied yourself of other jijos, stayed put in Transcorp......only to exit and miracle happened.

...But, just look on the brighter side of things...... be hopeful you'll hit your jackpot some day.

Someone like me can't regret exiting Transcorp, it has disappointed many times.......
Always try to monitor the stocks you identify to know when there's increased activities ........and if there are some positive news surrounding it....
Jumping in when it starts going up wouldn't even be of much issue then.

Remember what happened the last time Transcorp touched 1.40?
We were so optimistic it would touch N2......just for some guys to clear off bids of over 100M or so.
Na since that time I don dey fear the stock.

If not for Otedola factor, don't you think it would have gone back to below 1.40?

** What was confusing here is that: "Will Tony says he wasn't aware of Otedola's interest to buy some % before buying??
* Otedola thru Emperon or so, says they wrote Transcorp about the share purchase, Transcorp is denying the knowledge. Till now, NGX is yet to publish the share purchase........... Who is deceiving who?
