There is one very wrong thing that most stockbroking firms do. When you previously have 1,000 units of Stock A at the Cost Price of N1.00 and you later buy same just 10 units of same Stock A, when the price is now N2.00, they just add up the 2 prices and give you a new Average Cost of N1.50 Am I the only one that sees this practice as being very wrong?

* It depends.....and boils down on different scenarios.
* It depends on whether you're averaging up or averaging down......and at what price for each purchases.
* Also bear in mind that buying charges are included and spread on purchase costs.

Yes, I came out because of E tranzact and CWG.
These used to be stocks of low profit margins in the past but today they have repositioned.Wait for CHAMS result any moment from now and see with your eyes how far they have improved.
Apart from omatek and NCR that needs restructuring,other stocks in the ICT sector are candidates of N10,N15,N20.
Cwg,E tranzact and Chams ,your own time has come.

I’ve explained this before. They’re one of the largest shareholders in Aradel, so the huge gains Aradel posted last year is what contributed to that. That’s the huge jump in “Investment Income”. So good result but a one off.
Custodian is also similar, being one of the top shareholders of Aradel also

Long term investment of around N1.5bn was stated, possibly it's for ARADEL investment....
If this is so, then it can't be a one-off thing....
CHI will still continue to benefit from ARADEL's future gains.

Except that HONEYWELL seems to have exited loss position, but then, result(s) will shed further light on this.
I sense FLOURMILL effect may likely have positive impact as well, FMN may use it to replace their exit on NGX, which may witness more fund injection as time goes on......
FLOURMILL owns 76.05% or thereabout here.

In Morgan, the fund settles immediately in your available balance.
Since you only see it in Net Balance, it means your account is in DCS mode (Direct Cash Settlement).

Contact Morgan to forward the DCS form to you, fill appropriate section and tick "NO" in the column where you're asked if you want Direct Cash Settlement.

We've discussed about this in countless times here.

Ask for more guidance from Morgan officer that attends to you via mail.
