Between zenith and wapco at the same price, which one will you go for now and why.good morning everyone.
My take:
- It depends on several factors to consider when making a choice between the two.....

- For final Dividend, I'll go with ZENITH....also with price tendency to appreciate with +10-15%...all things being equal.

- For Dividend + possible price appreciation in near future, I'll go with WAPCO.
* WAPCO is yet to show significant appreciation even with the bull
* Cement price going up
* Tendency to appreciate in price with 50% or more is there......if we consider other cement coys in the sector

* Let others give their opinion as well. This is my personal opinion. *Bargain entry important*

After rallying on sentiments from N1.06 on 3rd August, 2023, to finally reach a peak high price of N4.47 on 25th October, 2023, the party is definitely over for Thomas Wyatt Nigeria. From that high, it has crashed down to N2.25. Those who bought it at N4.47, and still holding it now at N2.25, are clearly the Last Fools who were still standing in the Cinema Hall moping, when everyone else had gone home. Are they here?
- Not too quick to call anyone a fo.o.l for his choice of investment........ people have various reasons for investing in a particular equity....
- Used to amaze me how some people here always thinks their own philosophy and idea about this market or a particular stock is the right one or the best.....
- Do you know if it's a director buying on the floor?
- Hope you know Thomas Wyatt declared a bonus of recent, which must have been marked down?

Learn to move on... Emma is not a perfect man or a prophet, he is simply saying his opinion on stocks from his own point of view. If the same Geregu is doing N20 now, will you fish out your response? In addition, will you be happy if people start fishing out some of your response that went negative? .
By the time someone is even posting positive things that can benefit some others, na so people like you go dey dwell in the past.

Did anyone tell you I have any beef or issue with Pa Emma?
If you yourself made some posts that turns out to be positive, you'll be happy and glad to showcase it nah.......besides, anyone that made predictions and ut comes to pass, I'm always happy to reference it as well.

If you want to post the ones that went negative, you're very free to do that.

Pa Emma is my boss and will remain so as far as this forum is concerned.........more reason you didn't see me reply @currentprice, he's my boss and well respected by me. So also my other bosses.

No be by force to append "like" nah.

Isn't it funny that the same CP whose comments about bull would garner tens of likes followed with praises of how he always got it right, now gets ignored because the narrative has changed? Well, not surprised, it's an aspect of human psychology!
I don't think you've been following trail posts...
If you do, you'll understand why CP's post was ignored. I guess he also knew.
I saw that you mentioned this the last time as well, I also ignored your post grin
Make we just leave story and focus on how best we can make use of the current situation to everyone's advantage.........rather than coming here to mock anyone or jumping out to say "I told you so".

I Blvd everyone have his/her strategies or will work out a plan to navigate thru the TB induced bear and come out unhurt once the dust is settled. It's well.

Thank you, Anty Mercy........ At least there is hope at the end of the tunnel.
All I can say is this:
What's happening in the market now is a red brought about by some policies of the CBN, with which TB rate was a major one........and not really the normal bear that usually occurs after the earning season has gone. It's a bear induced by circumstance and it's not a new thing to some of us.

Many of the folks selling are selling with profits because the Bull has been around for a long time now.

* See TRANSCORP for instance; quite a lot picked at circa 3, and then 6+. Even if those ones sell @10, they're still in profit. The only group that might be affected are those who picked at high prices.

* There's always a way around all these! Forget the panic posts here and there.
If market turns green tomorrow, you'll see different posts of how they entered the market today.....E.g. Peter. tongue

These thing is a cycle. If stocks go down, it goes up.....and vice versa.
Whosoever is in the market and is not opportuned to have purchased at low prices should preserve his/her capital. Any losses on the portfolio doesn't become a loss until you sell. When bull resumes, it clears the losses again.

Depending when u bought my guy.All my stock will give far above that
Exactly!
For instance, UBA that we were shouting here @8, rose up to 34 or so, how many % yield was that?

You know, why I made thst post was the fact that they were tagging bear to the present situation in the market. Did anyone of them forsee TB yield @19/23% before?
It was a situation brought about by NEWS! Which the SA has been hammering on here as well........that, it's not only TA/FA that dictates the direction of the market but SA also has significant role to play........but, after they all sold with +100/200% gain or more, there's the need for them to re-enter the market at cheaper prices again, so the good excuse to use was TB rate.

We all know Bear will come, Bull will come but at their respective times.......
Towards last year November I think, some were shouting bear but Mr. Bull did otherwise.....and the bull kept firing on to enter 2024.......we no hear pim from them again.

Aside stocks can you get bonds from Morgan? What is their commission, is it still 0.5%? Are they still charging ₦‎2,500 for yearly use of trading software?
- Yes......but they'll be the one to purchase for you.
- It's still 0.5% brokerage fee
- Not sure about the annual N2,500 again.

Funds still entering the market despite the TB rate that many are shouting about.

DANGSUGAR for instance, if anyone follows the activities there yesterday, he'll notice that the more some investors probably in profit were selling, the more people were making use of the opportunity to buy.
- It went all the way to -10% at some point and quickly went back up to close @75+ again.
- Huge funds still entered GTCO, FBNH and some other stocks despite the sell off witnessed generally, and quite some stocks still gain at COB.
- Guess, this is the type of opportunity some bargainers may have been waiting for.
- No one should see his/her own investment plan as the best at any given time.....if they go, they'll still rush back again.
- Each should follow what works best for him/herself.
- Anyone moving to TB, good luck to them. They shouldn't make those in the market look like they don't know what they're doing.

Meritrade is very okay, they can be a bit slow with responding to email communication but they do.
Regarding the interfaces, both platforms have their strengths and weaknesses, the new Meritrade interface is very simple to use and more userfriendly for the most part, beginners will find this quite intuitive to get around. MorganCapital is more robust but less user friendly, you have to dig in and read the help material to find things as you go along, however, it has more advanced features including the ability to see live trades and a robust reporting functionality which enables you to see the summarized market data and all your portfolio and financials... for me thats what sets it apart from meritrade. Finally, Morgancapital is abit effective with email coms, they try to get back to you within a few hours. If i were to choose one, i 'd actually go meritrade!
Good.
@Boshins you can weigh your options then.
