FamilyRe: Pregnant Women In Work Places by yogun(f): 3:26pm On Sep 01, 2011
@Sirabbey: like you said it depends on where one works,

Automatically in some organization u forfeit annual leave wen you go for Mat leave
FamilyRe: Pregnant Women In Work Places by yogun(f): 1:24pm On Sep 01, 2011
@ Outstrip

I wasn't complaining, i talked abt my experience and wish there's a uniform law across board.
FamilyRe: Pregnant Women In Work Places by yogun(f): 11:46am On Sep 01, 2011
i Think in Nigeria a woman is only entitled to Maternity leave after being confirmed on a job in most organisation. I got 12 wks maternity with full payment where i work which is in d private sector.

i think 3mths is way too small for a woman to recover from child delivery. take my case for instance, i went on Mat leave 5wks before the baby arrived due to some complications. my baby was barely 7 wks when i had to resume work. thanks to my Mom she was the one that looks after my daughter at that tender age, though i resume work 1hr later than resumption time and close 1hr earlier than close of work for 3mths but it cant be compared.

i wish there cld be a more effective change in law concerning pregnant women and they are not seen as unproductive as labelled in most organisations.

Prevention always better than cure.

She shld be careful, this is a gift from God that some pple are spending money to have and their bodies are going through traumatic experiences.

@Gen Buhari:
it is quite possible, our bodies react in different ways and i feel it is better not to debate if the medications was responsible or not. let's allow her grief but remember her in our prayers and pray that very soon, the sound of rejoicing shall be heard from her camp.

it is well with us all.

@ Blank: my song for your friend is "Eyes on the Sparrow".

The Word of the Lord says " HE know all about us", "That HE will never leave nor forsake us, " That He will do a new thing", that The Glory of the latter house shall be more than the former", That He will perfect all that concerns us".

Cling unto these word, It is well with us, Amen
HealthRe: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by yogun(f): 4:56pm On Aug 16, 2011
Ok what odunamine said and how I feel are EXACTLY the same we are not a pity party here. I  have looked at your answers to questions Dr hastrup and they are educative so i have nothing against that but when i just see people asking one question, with  new id's   popping up it makes it look like an answer and question thread instead of a community that it is meant to be .
It is a thread meant for people going through infertility to come in talk about it and not  just for people who have one question and never come back again. It was not meant to be a ask Dr blah blah any question and he gives you answers like some other health threads.
(Share pains?, heal each other?
Is that a way out?, Pity party or knowledge about what you have and a way to get treatment and where to get one.)
Yes Dr hasstrup that is exactly what we have been doing here share stories and heal each other with words and look for solutions to issues arising.
Everything is just not simple cut and nail and drugs and go and see doctors. it takes a toll on you emotionally and psychologically ,that is why i made this as an outlet . As it is the internet i have no claim to anything but I think some of us love it the way it was and meant to be.
@ Arlington
I prefer wen this forum was interactive and pple come in to give update on what they are going through and what medical assistance they are seeking. It was quite helpful seeing that they are not alone and there a number of couples in similar situation. I t was even more encouraging to read the success story of some members like Ejadamen, luvly, Stages, Arlington etc. It was even more fun getting a regular report of how they are progressing thru their pregnancies.

I find the new Dr, posts funny, it looks more like copy and paste and doesnt look sincere to me and again asking pple to get in touch personally with you on the yahoo messenger screams fraud. In our quest for knowledge and solution, let be mindful of the steps we'll take towards solutions. I know it is a almost to get across to the contact details details of the genuine pple who have truly TTC so that we can draw strength from them if need be.

In all, i pray that God will help us in dealing with pple who are always out to take advantage of others and for the said doctor, i think your time is up here

@Mogbomoya:

Am sorry if i came across to you as harsh but like we all know safety comes first and understand ur situation but will thank the Lord that you are here today to share this with us and also to forewarn anyone who might fall victim.

I know there are total strangers who will help without holding back, i think it is a gross SIN against humanity to take advantage of people's predicament.

My dear, the Lord will visit you and you will sing a song of victory very soon like Stages, Arly, Luvly etc. etc. in this forum.

It is well dearie,

Shalom!!!
HealthRe: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by yogun(f): 12:49pm On Aug 16, 2011
Madam Mogbomoya,

U took a high level of risk, despite the fact that you are desperate pls let's always apply caution. I would not allow a stranger touch me if it is not in a proper hospital setting.

i still await the Doctor to come up here and give his own explanation. pls severe all ties with him and for any assistance there are registered fertility clinics around town who will investigate your health history before any administration can be done.

i'm so in shock right now, what did he take your blood for sefhuh orisirisi lo wa laye

TravelRe: Who Will Foot The £200,000 Bill?! by yogun(f): 1:14pm On Jul 05, 2011
i read with amusement the posts on this Nigerian woman

the babies are so innocent and don't deserve this publicity

I will not support this woman's behavior, it has only shown that she is not a straight person.

First of all she abused the use of drugs.

For someone in her right state of mind, i believe she knew that her actions has consequences and she stood the chance of multiple babies.

I dont believe her claim that she didnt know that she was expecting more than one baby. she endangered her life and the babies by her acts.

I dont want to be judgemental but her actions have further dented the image of Nigerian. it is stated in the visa that "no recourse to public funds", so regardless of her situation, how does she qualify for public funds?

She took a decision and she shld have crossed her "t' and dotted her "i'.

for her to now said that all her families are based abroad and she doesnt have a roof over her head here in Nigeria doesnt sound true to me.

for the sake of the young kids, i pray that her visa shld be extended so that her kids can be strong enough to travel back and she shld be sent home to care for her kids here.

She shld just go ahead and plan her return pending the time, am sure she'll be shocked at the level of support she receive from friends, extended family, religious grps here cos WE LOVE BABIES HERE and we know they are nothing but gifts from above.

She shld appeal to NGOs here as well the state and federal government to help in anyway possible (clear the billshuh).

I will not support her fight to stay there against their laws.

Let's not because of this moment forget tomorrow. enough damage has been done to the image of this country and every little effort made by everyone of us to redeem the image will go a long way.

Thank you
