This one no dirty na. See the one for my compound. I have been living in the place(rented) for just over 2 years. There has always been dirt in the water when newly pumped One day, wifey complained that the water is smelling so we stopped using it to cook. We have been drinking sachet water. Washing it myself might just be too risky cos of the height and closeness to fence. So I asked other 2 tennants to lets contribute and give plumber money to wash. One of them was reluctant until I decided to climb the height myself to even see what was there.

immortalcrown: Terrible!
Nothing justifies the destruction. But necessary questions should be asked.
1. Why would IPOB do such a thing on the 29th, not on the 30th?
2. Why would IPOB do such a thing only in that market? The very market is not the only marketplace in the Eastern region and is not the only market that functioned on the 29th in the region. The very market is neither the smallest nor the biggest in the region.
It was only during the EndSARS protest that Nigerians admitted that a movement can be hijacked by hoodlums. The market attack is totally wrong, whether it was by IPOB or by another group. But if not that common sense is not common in Nigeria, those accusing IPOB here should first do an intelligent analysis to have a better idea of who should be suspected in the case.
If you like, attack my comment and call me IPOB. But you cannot point out any falsehood or illogicality in my comment. There is no sense behind everything you typed. Why? This is not the first time such matter is being raised. IPOB already threatened towards today already. Anything that happens today in any part of the east, IPOB is automatically held responsible. So it is IPOB that needs to prove they are not responsible for such cos because they already promised to carry out such activities. |

Some bunch of werey who thunder will not forget to fire tonight will soon come here and say I should plant cassava since garri is expensive It might actually be the way to go o Bro. I asked a man that sells in a part of Ikorodu the reason why its getting so much expensive. He said activities of land grabber is not allowing farmers to cultivate like before. Fufu makers are also competing with garri makers for cassava. Garri makers are mostly out of business as it stands. Mind you, I have a colleague who is from that town. He has rented for plots of land to plans cassava for this year. Of course he'll pay aboki to work on the farm so he himself doesn't need to hold a cutlass. So if you have the privilege, you should consider it. |

Armaggedon: All this garbage because your fellow Yoruba admitted to your lack of native cuisines. Even his defence is a further proof to your lack of native soups. Okro and black soups he mentioned are native to Igbos and Edos respectively. You can as well say water is only native to the Igbo land na. Others don't have it. That's the average Igbo man attitude. Does the fact that you have a particular thing mean others don't have it? Na only you get farm dey farm? He mentioned some very popular proverbs that have existed since time immemorial that mention many of those vegetables. Even our great grandparents met those proverbs alive already. 'Dagunro' is one of them. I'm above 40 and I have always heard the proverb ' Ije ti e je tete, e ma je dagunro' meaning Dagunro was eaten by ancient Yorubas already. Come to think of it, based on science, the okra that you claim is native to Igbos and Edos originated from Ethiopia, Sudan and Eritrea. Google it. The fact that you grew up knowing a particular thing with your people doesn't mean it's only you that have access to it. It exists in other places already too. Many of these lives existed before your great, great grandparents were born. And no be only your village get am.

Dogalmighty17: I don't know if they have soup o but what they have even the devil will not taste it twice. That's how during my service days when I was newly posted to Ota, I decided to go and have a taste of amala with that greenish soup that looks like baby poo.
I think everything was going well until midway into my meal tragedy struck. I was sweating so heavily due to how much pepper they added. Before I knew it, the need to immediate go to the toilet came upon me. I had to abandon my meal.
I rushed away from the restaurant looking for a public restroom to use. Non was available and it seemed I was going to defecate on my self. I felt like dying. After what seemed like an eternity, a nurse who noticed how uncomfortable I was, opened the restroom of a public health Care center there in Ota and I was able to get deliverance. Since then, anything yoruba I avoid. Go and treat ur ulcer. |

This man is funny.
I was born and bred in Yorubaland. Baba,Yoruba no get soup..No vex I think you should watch the video again. He pointed out that even Yorubas are admitting your claim but he alighted the various soups and their Yoruba origin. Hardly was Lagos mentioned. I believe you were born and bred in Lagos like myself. Many of those soups mentioned actually have proverbs that mention them. Those proverbs weren't formed yesterday but 100s of years back which shows that we the younger Yorubas too are actually as naive as you strangers living among us. I didn't reply you to make you change your mind actually but may be you should visit those places mentioned to see those things instead of you sitting in one place and making your assertions. Your assertions dont count though. |

Health Sector Improvements: Launched the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) to provide accessible and affordable healthcare to Nigerians.[/color]
President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration laid the foundation for modern Nigeria through significant reforms in various sectors. His leadership not only stabilized the country but also set it on a path towards sustainable development and economic growth. His tenure remains a pivotal period in Nigeria’s journey towards progress and prosperity. You goofed Sir. OBJ was not the one that transitioned power from military to democracy. The credit goes to Abdulsalam Abubakar who transferred power to Obasanjo. Abubakar could have easily annulled the election just like Babangida did to MKO and Obasanjo who was brought straight from prison to come and be President could not have done anything. Power reforms was basically used to steal money. After his NIPP that gulped $16 Billion, what is our generation capacity today? Very poor !!! Privatisation done only had the aim of converting government establishment to personal wealth. Of what use are OBJ's economic reforms if they could only devalue naira from N22 to N121 in his 8 years in office? Baba only came back to compensate himself for the years in prison. Besides, he was made president to compensate Yorubas for the treatment MKO got from Hausas. Hausas wanted to appease Yorubas and they only used a military man they could trust, their own personal person. |

But sincerely, Obasanjo laid a poor foundation for Nigeria economy. 6 years before he came in, in 1999, dollar was stable at N22. After Obasanjo's 1 year in office by 2000, it was already at N89, that's a whopping 300% increase within a year. By the time he left in 2007, it was already N120, 500% increase. Politics aside, that is not a good foundation for our economy in the democratic dispensation. |
