freeradical: You never can tell, Sydney may just pick up form and fast track all the apps on their table. One thing I've learned from this PR experience is that nothing stays the same. I remember quite vividly a period where everyone wanted their files processed at London VO but today London appears to be one of the slowest. Cheer up u may be rather watching ice hockey league in canny in d next couple of months.
By the way, I also sent a mail to CIC and I was told my file is being processed in Ottawa. AOR June 19th BGC NA for 15days now after IP1/med pass. Toronto Maple Leafs abi?? |

redocean: I got into the pool with CSR score of 425 in June. After gathering documents for Ontario PNP just last week, I have been caught up with the hold placed on new registration. Thinking ahead, I want to start gathering documents under the Federal draw.
Please is work reference required for Federal? What address should the work reference be addressed to?
Thank you in advance Yes work reference is required for FSW and you don't really need new references, unless it will be easy for you to get them from your employer. The address you can use is Central Intake Office (CIO) Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) Sydney, Nova Scotia Canada. Cheers |

salford1: There would always be shortage of trades professionals..Trade is very very good if you can get in. very few professional jobs pay close to $50 bucks an hour normal time... $50 is even classified as low wage for some specific trade. Some electricians make so much in the summer that they sometimes take the whole winter off. Some popular trades are now becoming competitive to get in nowadays as more people are realising how well they are compensated. if u can, get in asap... Wow, $50/hr and more for the skilled tradespersons? That's a real testament to the usefulness of those with the practical hardcore hands-on skills. |

Fulaman198: What did you graduate in if you do not mind me asking? Electrical Engineering....To be honest I would have opted for a different course if I had the opportunity. It didn't really cut it for me as most of the content was power engineering & electonics and the likes. I was more into IT long before University. It's only in the last couple of years that Bachelors Degrees in IT have become popular. I discovered networking in my 2nd year at a seminar organized by some guys who were setting up the NOC for our Univ and that's where I got really interested. Been an exciting journey since then!! |

MrsBee: Please who can explain this, I received an email from CIC that "your application has been updated" but no new message or updates when I check myCIC account.
Has anyone here experienced this? Yes, one successful PR friend of mine says there will be a lot of those "junk" emails where you log on profile and nothing has changed on it. But I guess something definitely happened in background to cause that update. Slowly but surely..... |

hippytwety: Good morning people. Great work. My score has been on 399. Thinking of going through pnp. Please which of the province is open. Kindly assist Ontario does not have an open/close period for their PNP unlike some of the other provinces. You just have to be in the pool and be identified with the right demographics(in-demand NOCs) to be selected for OINP. It's usually advised to withdraw and recreate your profile in order to make it easier for the Ontario PNP powers that be to spot you out of the pool and nominate you |

I'm really impressed with your perseverance, I would have long given up. I hope your case would be an example to others to never keep up on what they desire. We r all turning up in Canada this year!! I'm really impressed for real. Yes man, I kind of abandoned the whole process in my mind and didn't even bother to recreate my profile after it last expired because I was nowhere near the CRS for ITA for about a year. A friend already in Canny alerted me when the CRS cutoff started dropping and even that I didn't recreate till after 2 draws where I could have gotten ITA. I shook and revived myself again by the grace of God and that's how far we come. Everyone should keep hope alive. There is hope!! |

Fulaman198: More than you would imagine if the programmers job is to write the software for the routers and switches you are referring you.
You are not looking at things from an abstract level. You are seeing things from the surface only. Who designs the software for Cisco iOS routers/switches, Cisco NX-OS routers /switches, etc.
I am aware that programming is not Computer science but it is a small part of it, just like computer networking. Djikstra's algorithm for instance is pure graph theory. This same graph theory is applied to OSPF routing protocol. Man,the guys who write the software code for the networking devices are some really smart people. They have to be able to understand the protocols inside out to be able to churn out those lines of code which eventually comes out as IOS/NX-OS/JUNOS etc. I will give them their due respect any day. |

ebixy: How 'easy' was it getting your first job with probably no experience After graduating from Univ in June, I went straight into intensive self study and preparation for the CCNA certificate and passed the exam in October. Prior to this I had interviewed with an ISP to do my national service with them and told them I was on preps for the CCNA so they were very interested in taking me on. By the time I started national service in December, having the CCNA under my belt put me at a skill level which was higher than some of the engineers already in the company. I guess although I didn't have any job experience the skill set and drive to learn made them take me on and eventually offer me a full time role in the company after national service had come to an end. So I guess I had no experience, but I was highly skilled. That's one way to get your foot in the door. Get the certification to demonstrate that in terms of knowledge you are there. You do not need much training and you can hit the ground running once you are given the chance to come on board.. |
