Common sense should have cautioned Usoro that this act of his is subjudice to the case. Not being a lawyer o had to find out what sibjudice is from Wikipedia:

it is generally considered inappropriate to comment publicly on cases sub judice, which can be an offence in itself, leading to contempt of court proceedings. This is particularly true in criminal cases, where publicly discussing cases sub judice may constitute interference with due process.
OR "Contempt of Court" which avers .a substantial risk of serious prejudice(which) can only be created by a media report when proceedings are active. Proceedings become active when there is an arrest, oral charge, issue of a warrant, or a summons.

FG Urged To Establish Riverine Areas Development Commission


The Federal government has been called upon to put machineries in motion for the establishment of Riverine Areas Development Commission.

A former Deputy Governor of the State, Dr Chinedu Emeka made the call while exchanging views with newsmen at the ongoing Anambra State Trade Fair in Onitsha.

He explained that the Commission when established will go a long way in checking the challenges of annual flood disasters in some parts of the country especially in riverine communities.

He also said that the Riverine Areas Development Commission will be in position to develop and enhance the tourist potential of the concerned communities, pointing out that local government areas inthe State such as Ayamelum, Anambra East and West, Onitsha North and South, Ogbaru and parts of Oyi will benefit socially andeconomically when the Riverine Areas Development Commission is established.

Dr Emeka who is the Senatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in Anambra North District, in the 2019 general election stressed the need for sustained efforts towards urgent completion of the Second Niger Bridge and resuscitation of the River Port in Onitsha.

The former Deputy Governor equally called on more indigenous and foreign investors to take advantage of the business friendly environment created by the Obiano administration to bring more investments to the State.

What they need to do with all the General Hospitals is to structure it properly and finance it properly. They need to get some diaspora top doctors on the board of directors, get top personalities on it, partner with international donor agencies, multinationals for equipments and drug funding and then fundraise to ensure all are staffed with well paid doctors. ANSG should create a General Hospital endowment fund and aim to raise around $5 million per hospital to ensure quality. Dump that money into a low-risk investment vehicle yielding at least 5% per year to be used to pay good doctors.

There are well over 1,000 medical practictioners of Anambra origin in the United States. Just getting donations of $5,000 from them is $5 million or 1/4 of the way there. Billionaires and millionaires can surely kick in the rest of the money.
