Politics › Re: Why President Goodluck Jonathan Is To Blame For The Insecurity In Nigeria by youngmonie: 12:30am On Dec 26, 2011 |
My problem is that when the president make a statement such as "We know these people, bombing will be a thing of the past" and this was last yr october, the security chiefs still have their jobs and this thing went on all through this year even up until christmas. So pls tell me who should we blame for the insecurity of the nation then, is it not their job to protect the citizenry and fish out the so called boko haram sect. So pls tell me who to blame, you are all shouting northern leaders, so uve identified them so y not do something about it if they are the ones |

rafhell: don't just blame Jonathan or the police. blame the northern leaders like buhari, atiu, ibb and co.
also blame the emirs in the north who get monthly allowance and salary from the government but sit down in tacit approval.
also blame the silly imams and islamic apologist who preach nothing good about Christians in their evil covens called mosques.
i think the time has come for everyone to open their eyes and see that these evil and religious b-astards have started a jihad Pls dont even piss me off today!!, Dis thing is not today, It happend on oct 1st last year, GEJ even said it with his mouth "We know this people and we apprehend them" and till this day this bombing is still happning and your telling me not to blame jonathan or the police, what is theri job then if they cannot protect the common citizen and yet they can buy bullet and bomb proff cars for themselves, |

he said inflation of about 30 % (15 x 2)

The president and his deputy will together enjoy N992.57 million worth of food and general catering services in 2012.
According to a detailed analysis of the N4.749trillion budget the president presented to lawmakers last week, the cost of purchasing food stuffs, catering supplies, kitchen equipments for the president and his vice, and their offices, will cost the nation N992.57 million, about N7 million away from a billion naira.

I wonder how responsible and accountable toll collection is in nigeria now?Tinubu probably have found a way in commandeering it and making sure the staffs are loyal to him, just like the agberos and their chairmen in the nigerian motor parks.

Beaf: I am for real.
It is best we look at the realities on the ground, wars need vast amounts of money; in that regard, the ND is totally underrated in the average Nigerian mind. If the ND decides it has definitely had enough, only the US would be able to exert pressure to keep the country together; the problem will be way too big for the rest of Nigeria. To make matters worse, it is 100% certain that the SE will follow suit, closely followed by the Middle Belt; like the ND, those two regions are quite unhappy; even the SW has shown dissatisfaction with OPC's show of force a couple of days ago. If the ND leaves, Nigeria will rapidly implode. hmmm, Interesting FACT!! |
Politics › Re: We Will Kill All Muslims In Niger Delta-militant Group Warns by youngmonie: 4:59pm On Dec 11, 2011 |
Beaf: Army take over the country? Lol! Thats a dream mate! Those days are long gone, any coup today will amount to a declaration of war.
We are missing out the import of JRC's message. They are asking for all Northern Muslims to leave the ND immediately and for all ND people to start returning home. It is an ominous message that better be taken seriously. If things go full hog, then Nigeria is about to say goodbye to oil and free meals forever.
If the ND decides to break free, there will be little anyone can do, as all the money Nigeria makes comes from there and you cannot prosecute a war on an empty stomach. R u for real??, Beaf u cn do beta than this!!! |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Why The U.S. Is Afraid Of Iran by youngmonie: 12:48pm On Dec 10, 2011 |
I wouldnt use the word afraid!!, but more like very catious of IRAN!!, reason being ISRAEL. If Iran implodes , Israel would definitely get involved, of which it is already getting involved , MOSSAD has been taking out most of irans nuclear scientists. So the fear factor for the USA is the middle east and its billion dollar interest in the middle east. Hence the peace has to be kept in the middle east and they are keeping very close eyes on Iran and Isreal |

VULCAN: BigUps to youngmonie! Its refrershing to come across somebody who can cut thru all the sentimental bull and use insight to understand whats going on! I have mentioned this same line of argument (offline)in respect to what happens when the subsidy is removed and was dumbfounded that peeps dont get it.
That the so called cartel will lose by the removal of subsidy is a half truth. Only the weakest members will lose out. All the big boys will benefit. Reason being that we will still be importing fuel and who do you think will get those contracts
What will happen now is that 10 or 11 of the biggest boys will get those contracts to import fuel with one major difference. They will no longer have to bribe the chaps in PPRA and PEF to collect the subsidy back. Now all they have to do is sell in the open market. At around N150 per litre. For those who wonder why the number will reduce isnt it obvious that when u actually have to sell your product and not sign fictitious figures with greedy government officials; then the real supply of fuel will reduce as if u calculate all the these 28 coys claim they are bringing in- it is more than enough for 200million people
This situation will persist for about three to four years while the same big boys are building their own refineries then the number will gradually reduce as their wont be much demand for imported fuel again. By the time if the masses have not revolted they will have accepted a form of economic slavery to the ruling classes.
I dont need to mention that armed robbery, kidnapping(especially kidnapping) will dramatically increase during this three year period. Kidnapping cos it is preferable to armed robbery by most criminally minded graduates as blood does not have to be spilt.
Guys its gonna be one heck of a ride! Put your helmets on. Thank you ohh, you kno ur economics very well!!!!, |
Politics › Re: Senate Release Names Of Fuel Subsidy Beneficiaries by youngmonie: 1:33pm On Dec 03, 2011 |
nex: This Senator Magnus Abe is mentally disturbed! How are these companies "benefitting" from subsidies?! So if subsidy is removed, and they imported and sold to Nigerians directly at N200/litre, will they not benefit even more ?! These companies are only trying to make up for government's inefficiencies, and now this unlearned fellow is blaming them. Something is seriously wrong with this man's brain.
WE NEED REFINERIES, NOT "NAMES OF NOISE-MAKERS"! MAY THE ALMIGHTY GOD BLESS YOU FOR THAT STATEMENT, Read some of my post. I said this companies are not to blame, blame the government |
Politics › Re: Senate Release Names Of Fuel Subsidy Beneficiaries by youngmonie: 1:21pm On Dec 03, 2011 |
moderatorr: senate should enact a law that basically says 'companies should not benefit from fuel subsidy but masses should'. I know that's possible, some how. If its done, FG will get half of the money they want for the development of the nation, and the masses will also benefit. GEJ was right all the way, but i think he should look into this suggestion. And of what importance will that be, it still going to cost the government a whole lot of money. In d short run Nigerians are just going to have to live with that reality that fuel prices are gonna be expensive even though it provides government with more money to put into developmental projects and even this same oil companies will make more money as the price of petroleum will be high. But the government realy need to fix up the refineries or sell them if they cnt afford to maintain them |
Politics › Re: Senate Release Names Of Fuel Subsidy Beneficiaries by youngmonie: 1:17pm On Dec 03, 2011 |
Demdem: Can someone kindly confirm if MRS is for dantata or dangote? I think its the latter. @ poster. Good development no doubt. The mere fact thatt the bulk of the beneficiaries are pdp members suggest the reason why we can't have new refineries of our own to stop this menace. Govt will give reasons why new refineries seems to be impossible here in Nigeria however it isn't impossible in Niger. Everyday is for the thief, one day is for owner, no yawa. Let's wait and see what happens after subsidy removal. My main grouse now are to those that voted for the retardeen and not pdp. Hope u all can now see your folly. Trully and indeed, it takes idiots to be governed by fools. This has nothing to do with GEJ. The real problem is obj. if obj had repaired the refineries and built new ones or even started new ones we wnt be having this problems by now and the facts is that all of them from obj to GEJ benefitted from the proceeds of the subsidy through election funding . |
Politics › Re: Senate Release Names Of Fuel Subsidy Beneficiaries by youngmonie: 1:01pm On Dec 03, 2011 |
GWslim: These companies are owned by the sole called rich-men in Nigeria. Thank God, they will be noted for revolution in Nigeria. And wht is their offence IF i may ask?, subsidy?, if people should pass any blame here pass it on the government. The Petroleum Support Fund policy of the government ensures that these players receive subsidy payment on imported fuel. ITs a damn business model. So all this ranting about rich people owing the companies and that are stealing from Nigerias is just very absurd, THEY HAVENT COMMITED ANY CRIME!!. The real crime is within NNPC for allowing the astronomical increase in subsidy payment from N500m to N1.4 trillion in one year and granting licences to all these unknown companies |
Politics › Re: Senate Release Names Of Fuel Subsidy Beneficiaries by youngmonie: 12:42pm On Dec 03, 2011 |
vascey: My brother/ sister please check your facts. These guys (I mean Capital Oil, Folawiyo, NIPCO etc) all have tank farms. I know this because my friend is a petroleum surveyor and has been to the tank farms belonging to most of these companies. I don't know about registration with CAC but I guarantee you, that's not a difficult thing to do. If at all any of them do not have, then they will be the minority. The fraud I percieve is in the astronomical increase from N500m to N1.4 trillion in one year. Someone needs to check that and tell us what happened. But what should be done is verify the amount received tallies with amount of subsidy collected. Only then can u allege wrong doing |
