Dam5reey:Pin or password is better. Go to sleep and your people will unlock your phone. To me Fingerprint is over rated. Pin draw, and password is the best, some times you wanna do something fast Finger print will fail you. |

See Reasons Why You Shouldn't Subscribe To DND (Do Not Disturb) This thread is to enlighten people about DND and how subscribing to it can be a bad decision. This have its advantages, but believe me the disadvantages is higher to the advantage. It's obvious that those who really disturb our cell phones are the network providers, this is because you will hardly block their messages unlike other short code service you can use your call and message blocker app to silent forever. What exactly is DND? The Do-Not-Disturb service allows customers to opt out of receiving promotional messages for 3rd Party services (Bulk SMS, VAS promos, etc.) Are promotional messages for MTN services included in DND? NO. DND service will only be introduced for 3rd party services e.g. VAS, Bulk SMS etc. We all know that we receive a lot of important messages starting from our church, wedding, school, Job interview, events etc. What Nigerians really need is a block or DND which will also give option to option out of network providers promo messages. Dont miss out crucial information just because of DND. The best way to avoid unsolicited messages and calls is to use call and message blocker app. You have to understand this before taking action on their DND to avoid missing out a lot of information been passed on daily basis. Optioning out or subscribing to DND simply means you will not receive all messages sent to your line using bulk SMS and other third party application which maybe important to you. NCC and the rest misinformed us, what we really need is an option to option out of network providers unsolicited messages and calls. Pass the information across.

MIUI rocks! Amazing MIUI 8 Upcoming Feature: Lost Mobile Tracking Without SIM A A good number of smartphones these days pop with tracking functions in the event of loss or theft of the device and unfortunately, those functions are network dependent. However, MIUI 8 is about to change that. A lot of these phones can be located using cloud services but when the phone is in an area where there’s no network coverage or the SIM card is removed, this function becomes invalid. However, MIUI officials have come out with a somewhat great news that a new feature is being developed for the latest MIUI 8. The official revealed that the current Mi Cloud services will soon combine the phone lookup feature with virtual SIM feature to detect a phone even without a SIM card. What this implies is that Mi Cloud would be able to detect the phone’s location even if the smartphone’s SIM card was pulled out by someone. As soon as the phone is booted, regardless of the presence of a SIM card inside, Mi Cloud would detect the device and pinpoint the location. If this news is true, then it becomes very easy recovering lost or stolen phones and that would be a big boost to Xiaomi phones running the MIUI 8. More so, the feature will join other amazing features like fingerprint payment, split-screen and screen recording functionalities which are currently under development for the MIUI 8 version. MIUI 8 also builds in several technology breakthroughs such as being able to clone apps and manage multiple accounts on the same phone and a host of other amazing features. Source: GizmoChina |
Redmi Note 3 Gets GSMA Award As The "Best Affordable Smartphone"! http://en.miui.com/thread-302870-1-1.html |
40manlappy:Go get it from Kulimart and you have nothing to worry about flashing. Comes with global stable rom. |
choix007:If it's not Xiaomi, it will never be like Xiaomi. |
harmbhrosz:Ensure you have installed the drivers correctly otherwise it won't work. |
Mrbllymer:Yes, but you gotta wait. I see complaints it didn't work. |
jobhuntng:How to flash http://en.miui.com/thread-235865-1-1.html |
Mrbllymer:Root and forget OTA update. Upgrading to unstable developers ROM is your choice. Search MIUI forum, you will see tutorial. But if you brick your phone in the process OYO. Remember this phone bootloader is locked , you have to go look for key to unlock it. |
harmbhrosz:You use to use fastboot ROM to do that. See http://en.miui.com/thread-235865-1-1.html |
harmbhrosz:By default it came with China stable rom, later global rom was released. The seller installed third party multi language ROM. You still need flashing to get MIUI 8, you cannot receive Xiaomi OTA with that ROM there. Kulimart installed global stable rom on this one, so no need to flash anything. Spot the difference.

asids55:Visit topupgold.com |
harmbhrosz:This is third party ROM. Flash with official global stable rom via fastboot to start receiving OTA update. |
harmbhrosz:Is that China or Global? Also did you root the phone? |
jobhuntng:Flash the rom via fastboot Your seller should help you with this if you cannot do it. |
SarcasticMe:That will really be hard. Check Meizu m2 note on Kulimart |
jobhuntng:No, waiting for stable version next month. |
40manlappy:Root and forget OTA update. Not necessarily to root unless you know what you're doing. I use to root my previous Androids just to enjoy some functions missing, but with MIUI all you need is available. |
The more you give, the more you receive. #TheRule Thumb up brother. |
