This post is motivated due to the lack of scholarship opportunities for sports personnel in Nigeria. I am a huge beneficiary of the scholarship below so I thought it better to share for other people who are qualified to benefit from it.


The new ITK courses for the period of 2020-2022 are online and we are looking forward to receiving many meaningful applications from your countries.

don't be tired brother, you have gotten this far there is no time to give up. keep trying and while doing that mail your school for extension of enrollment. My school extended mine for 3months on the condition that I have to read up some contents myself in order to pass the first semester exams. Keep your head up you can make it!!

You mean your school specifically told you not to Certify or Notarize your documents? That's kinda unusual.

I don't know what you term by first stage anyways but if you are sending your documents to the school please Certify or Notarize them to avoid stories that touch.

How to apply

The application period for the 2018 fall term (classes starting on 15 October 2018) is from 1 January 2018 to 30 April 2018. Applications submitted after this date will not be considered. Only complete applications containing all required documents will be considered. 

The application review process involves two elements: First, a check of the applicant's suitability for the program, conducted by the Institute of Sport Science and Sport, and second, a formal review of the applicants' degree certificates conducted by the central university administration.

Step 1:
As a first step, you should send your application documents directly to the Institute of Sport Science and Sport. Please send your application as a hardcopy by mail. Do not send your application by e-mail or fax. The Institute will notify applicants by e-mail upon receipt of the application. Applications will be reviewed by the Institute within 6 weeks of receiving the complete application package. Applicants will be informed of the outcome of the evaluation process by e-mail so please make sure you provide us with a valid email address!Â

My wife also applied to leipzig and we are still waiting for admission from them, please what is their enrolment deadline cos she was able to book 14th march for interview date and the school she used has april 3rd as deadline

Hello Brother, unfortunately I am not going for a degree program but a sponsored professional course for some months. However, I will urge you to keep the faith. anything is possible let your wife go for her interview we have seen cases where VISA arrive earlier than expected. Once she is able to secure the Visa and the admission from the University comes through, she can switch (based on past information on the thread)

Once again, I want to say a big thank you to everyone for their contribution to the successful receipt of my Visa yesterday evening delivered by DHL to me at my work place.

It might interest you to know that I applied for this particular course (sponsored tho) thrice before being successful during my fourth attempt should help you keep the faith. Delay is not Denial and remember sometimes God may have other plans.

I pray for success to those waiting for admission/AM we shall all be successful.

I would be ungrateful if I do not inform this lovely family that I received a mail requesting for my travel date and insurance on Tuesday. This family notified me of an earlier date after booking Jan 19 which seem to far for me.

So I was wondering if it's necessary for me to book a flight before sending the date or just notify them in writing of my intending travel date with my insurance.

Please, who has an experience with canceling and rebooking an appointment? I have an existing appointment for work visa (about 3 months away) but I see dates that are closer than this (some are even 2 weeks away) from time to time. Can I cancel the existing one and rebook immediately? Like ASAP o. Has anyone here done this before with success? I'm weary because I do not wanna lose on both ends.

Yes, if another earlier date becomes available (likely as a result of someone else cancelling) you may reschedule to an earlier date.

Before you reschedule to another date you first have to cancel you initial appointment, so that date will be freed up for someone else.

Don't worry yourself so much, but be on the watch. As @Lalaski001 said, most people can't honour their dates. As January draws closer a lot of people will free up their dates to avoid getting suspended. Get all your documents prepared, so that in the event this happens you can quickly take advantage.

Thank you very much Daniel for your advice. I have gone thru d thread twice before my application perhaps I might have missed out salient points. I didn't really find any situation similar to mine. however I tried to adapt some of the situations to mine.

I went of my visa interview July 12th and I wasnt granted. I thought I caused it myself lol. I actually filled my form myself. it goes like this...

me: for a coaching license where u hope to gain competency in coaching young athletes.

me: No but I have a partner and we have a son together.

IMO: though I filled my mum as my sponsored which is true but maybe my salary of 70k wasn't enough. also I didn't fill I was single but domestic partnership because we are planning on our wedding soon though we are engaged and sometimes live together.

Or maybe I am old enough to sponsor myself lol what do you guys think? However, the experience was worth it tho and I hope to apply for a football conference coming up early next year since I am a football coach.
