Ignore this thread! It’s likely a alternate moniker of the ebubu impostor that’s behind it! His failed mission on this forum is to try and cause divisions amongst Ndigbo! Him and his bigoted ilk get sleepless nights agonising over the creation of the proposed Anioma state and it being added to the south-east, and it’s also his hateful and insecure ilk that look for, support or sponsor some greedy and compromised Ikwerre to say they’re not Igbo! You’ll also find other impostors on here pretending that Ndigbo want one state or the other created from the existing south-east! Ignore them all!

The only Igbo supporting the creation of any state other than Anioma state are doing so for selfish reasons!
You're damn right. The thread was created by an enemy of Ndigbo and his partners in crime and responding to give the thread life. This is exactly what that wasterner known as Ebubu is doing all to work against Ndigbo. Igbos on nairaland must learn how to read between the lines.
Anioma state is the choice of Ndigbo. Any other suggestion is a waste of time.

Nonsense. You people are CLOWNS! DIRECT PRESSURE on people that matter is the only thing that can result in disintegration of Nigeria which will result in Biafra. All these clownish cuny, cuny, pie-in-the-sky stupity ain't gon' work. You expect UN to come into a sovereign nation and dictate to her duly elected leaders. I'm not sure how much education you people have, if at all!
If we are clowns then you people must be tragedians which is why Nigeria is in such a sorry state. Ngwanu Mr Tragedy, carry on without us or shut your mouth like you and those before you have been doing so we can clown on and get to the finish point. I hope you people are enjoying the Nigeria your tragic character birthed.
I repeat, you guys are over 150million persons which is more than enough to effect the revolution you've been parroting all along. We have not counted on you people's actions and inactions in our march for Biafra. Don't count on us too.
As for your educational claims, you're ridiculous. Nigeria is the only country where higher level of education doesn't translate into improved thinking and execution. If it wasn't so, all the professors and professionals given political offices and powers would have helped improved the contraption. As we all know, it has been a roller coaster of failures which is why Nigeria is now the poverty capital of the world. Deal with that fact first before pointing your scrunny fingers towards our education. Good bye.
This is my last response to you on this topic.

My friend, take it from someone who knows. All these court shenanigans na for show. ALL it takes for MNK to be released is a simple phone call. But the person(s) to make that phone call has to be under PERSONAL existential pressure. Mass protests and the masses UNITED can apply that pressure. But when you are doing some lame sit at home and telling people not to protest, effectively working hard to dis-unite the masses, you are codedly playing for the other team!
I can't help but tell you the truth, though it doesn't do anything for me personally
Is anyone fooled by the back and forth the hopeless Nigerian judiciary is doing? Will a free Nnamdi Kanu ordinarily subject himself to the Nigerian courts? You know he won't. Despite the fact that he was extra-judicially renditioned and brought to the Nigerian court, he remained defiant and is triumphant. They can delay all they want but we must get to the stage where they can't hide anymore. We aren't daft you know.
Referendum is coming and the UN must be involved.
Nigeria has been plotted like a graph and the key points dotted. What remains is connecting the dots and it is independent of your(non-Biafran youths of Nigeria). The reason why we excluded you guys in the plot is because we know you guys can bend like amoeba into any shape your politicians want you to take. You guys can accommodate every shit forced into your throats.
The highest you can do is wail and carry placards after which you all will chicken out when they release their khaki dogs.
Forget about revolution ever happening in Nigeria.
We will get Biafra eventually. This is how far I can explain it to you.
You guys should do the protest for yourselves and your goals. Non-Biafrans are up to 150 million. They are more than enough to shake the government if they so love Nigeria. Nothing is stopping your own masses today.

I'm a politician and I see things from a perspective you don't. Politicians are humans and they succumb to PERSONAL pressure like all humans. Killing your own people and destroying your own region applies ZERO personal pressure. See how we were panicking and offering all sorts of incentives before the protests. If you had asked us to release MNK to avert those protests we would have quickly done us. But destroying your own region? DUMB!!
The last human being to take advise from in the whole world is a Nigerian politician. They all scored zero on the scale of credibility. Just mention one of them that can risk his life for the good of all? As you can see, you can't. Even the minute exception that promises little hope is beyond you. You belong to the average of such politicians. Look at Adams Oshiomole who was so loved as the Labour President back in the days. Where is he today? Dancing with criminals and devouring the resources of his own state.
Only lunatics think IPOB is behind the killings in the SE. We have stated and restated the end of the lengthy sit at home and limited it to only days like today that our leader is in court. We understand the game the useless government is playing which as you can see, they are losing. We can't kill those we swore to protect. Which freedom fighter kills an innocent brother? Only a fake one.
SE isn't destroyed one bit. Activities are going on and farmers are reaping bountiful harvest thanks to IPOB's ESN. Your Nigerian army hasn't arrested a single fulani terrorist that have been wrecking havoc in our farms. We took it upon ourselves to do so and the result is clear even to the blind.
Once again, no revolution can happen in the shithole. It takes more than gathering yourselves on the road, brandishing flags & placards and being entertained by musicians. Can you face your useless army? Of course you can't. Will the boy's scout army even stay on the side of 'bloody civilians' for once in their useless lives? You know the answer already.
Pls, say something better next time.
PoliticsRe: BC ERA: Something Is Missing In African History by Yujin(m): 6:37am On Sep 24, 2024
babasolution:
In most other parts of the world, there are many records of happenings during the BC era.

Chinese had happenings in the BC era,
The Greeks,Romans, maybe not northern Europe
The Indians etc

But there's something strange in AFRICA
It's like subsaharan Africa was empty during this period of the BC and early AD except in Egypt and Ethiopia area.

Even the earliest records of kingdoms in subsaharan Africa seemed to occur after 1000 AD.

The British have happenings going far back as 100AD.

Even early kingdoms such as ile-ife, NRI and Benin were formed after 1000AD .
The records of Oduduwa goes back only at 1200AD,when England was already a settled kingdom( William the conqueror, united England in 1000AD).

It therefore means that contrary to popular belief, African kingdoms especially ( Niger-Congo ) subsaharan are quite young and that subsaharan Africans maybe have just recently entered deep into Africa from the Egyptian/ Ethiopian region plus the once fertile Sahara ( the Sahara might hold a lot of secrets of ancient Africa).

Africans might just have been in the rebuilding or building stage in their new location when they encountered the entry of Europeans and Arabs, this might have been the reason for the disadvantaged Africans seem to have had as compared to others.

In all,its no excuse, African men especially of the major tribes, who are numerous for nothing, need to rise up to the occasion.

Other races are conquering space for goodness sake.
Before making an assertion and starting a discussion using that assertion, endeavour to confirm if your assertion is right else you'll end on a wrong foundation.
Firstly, the Igbo Ukwu bronze castings were dated to around the 9th century which means 800CE. It means a flourishing society has been established at least few hundreds of years before that time. If you read about the Iron slag deposits in Lejja community-Nsukka, you'll see that it was dated to around 2000BC. This is probably the oldest iron smelting site in the whole world yet very few people in Nigeria know about it. It isn't taught in schools within Nigeria for obvious reasons. Nok was dated to around 4BC but is much more popular. This proves that communities had existed south of the Sahara since the B.C period.
Secondly, the Great Bantu migration was dated to have happened between 1500BC to 500CE and the place they originated was said to be around Eastern Nigeria and Western Cameroon. Does it ring a bell?
My findings about Africa is summarized below.
All parts of Africa seemed to have been occupied by people for over thousands of years. The people were all negroids but had different lifestyles and somewhat different stages of social development.
Back in the BCs, most present day West Africans were in North Africa. West Africa was occupied by a people that have been subsumed into those who fled North Africa and came down to it. Those West Africans were not of Bantu origin. I'm yet to get a good description of them but they were mostly very dark people because most West Africans are very dark. They are of the same stock as those who first travelled to the American continent. The Bantus were occupying Eastern Nigeria and Western Cameroon up to upper areas of Central Africa. With the coming of new people from Egypt and Sudan, many of them left to lower Central Africa. Central Africa by the BC was occupied by mostly pygmies which is why it retained its vast forests and vegetation. The Bantus subsumed the pygmies and it in turn reduced their average size which was initially same like those of other West Africans. Present day Bantus especially Central, Eastern and Southern are comparatively smaller in physique to West Africans except some few groups in the Congo. The pygmies couldn't leave Central Africa and were almost entirely subsumed by the Bantus who went on to move further into Southern Africa and encountered the Khoi and San people.
Southern Africa was entirely peopled by the Khoi and San people who were mostly hunter-gatherers and semi-nomadic people with barely no knowledge of metal smelting. They were more light skin than the Bantus but were also smaller in physique with some shrubby hairs on their head. They weren't a hairy people. The Bantus who encountered them intermarried with them but couldn't subsume them. Those Bantus borrowed a good deal from them like the 'clicky' sounds when talking and parts of their genes too. The closer a bantu group is to the Khoi and San people, the more they looked like them.
East Africa at the BCs was occupied by the Nilotic and Cushitic people. The Bantus who went there mixed with some of them especially with the Nilotics. The Cushitic were more conservative and thus retained most of their original form.

The conclusion is that in all subsaharan Africa, you'll always find traces of societal existence back to the BC era. West Africa, East Africa and Southern Africa. Only Central Africa is where I'm yet to find. Recall that the pygmies who occupied this part were limited by nature already.

Your own stupidity is out of the charts. I should be the one asking you if you indeed know what revolution entails. You're the typical Nigerian who talks before he thinks. You don't study to understand the combination of factors that can effectively produce the desired result. If you did, you won't be so eager to throw jabs at me. It is easier for Nigeria to descend into a bloody chaos that will end into her disintegration than for any revolution to ever happen. In fact, there's less than 10% chance of a revolution ever happening here in Nigeria.
Anyway, we can't escape that bloody chaos because of the foolish elites from all regions who know this truth but can't handle it. As population increase and scarce resources diminish, the recipe for disaster is born in the absence of good leadership.

When we say Nigeria has no future, people still don't understand it. Has this Edo election not proved me right? The same people who collected N10,000 will still come out next week to cry about APC and bad economy.
As for those talking about revolution, forget about it. It is not possible in Nigeria. In case you can't see the big picture, let me show you. The fulani have successfully turned most parts of the north into almajiris using extreme poverty and illiteracy to perpetually keep majority down so they can always induce them during elections to get power. No one challenges them in most parts of the north. This is what Tinubu has been doing in the SW which has reflected in their society. Education has dropped in the SW while thuggery and poverty has increased. Wike is the person they want to use in the SS to extend the almajiri system and if care is not taken, they will succeed. Their greatest weapon is making the people poor and having poor education so they can be pliable. Pluck all the feathers of a chicken and toss seeds of corn to it. It will follow you even when it is still feeling the pains you inflicted on it. The same thing they're doing even on the police and army. Treat them poorly and yet they'll do their bidding. Typical of happy slaves who are easily gratified by crumbs.

I feel sorry for Edo people who tried their best to prevent the brood of vipers from entering Edo state government house. All hope isn't lost though. Keep hope alive and fight on.

Edo state treasury is gone. What about the insecurity APC promised them?

You have spoken well. An Igbo man is my brother based in similarities I have observed we shared. But just as an Igbo man is not am ikwerre person so is an ikwerre person not Igbo. We are related but not one the other.
The greater Igbo community could form a Union of Igbo related people. An ikwerre man won't object this. This is the greatest path to unity. But anything brought to tell am ikwerre man that he is Igbo Bros no matter how innocently and lively you present it will be contested, refuted and rejected.
Meka.
An association has already been formed known as 'Ndi Na Asu Bia Socio-cultural Group. It is led by an intelligent man from Akumazi-Umuocha in Ika North East LGA, Delta state. Many people from his side also object to the name Igbo because to them, the word means something else in their local parlance. Though there's a community among them that bears the name 'Igbodo'. Talking about communities with the word 'Igbo' attached to them, they are scattered all over Igboland including Ikwerre territory. I'll like to know the meaning of the name 'Rumuigbo' in Ikwerre dialect. Below are communities with such names in different states across Igboland.
Igbo Ukwu.... Anambra state
Igboeze.... Enugu state
Akwukwu Igbo.... Anioma, Delta state
Ama Igbo.... Imo state
Igbo Etche.... Etche, Rivers state
Igbo-ere.... Abia state
Obi Igbo.... Rivers state

As you can see, the word Igbo is well spread across despite some Igbo clans objecting to identify with it. Even Onitsha people before call other Igbos 'nwa onye Igbo'. One will think they themselves weren't Igbo but when you go to their larger clan in Enuani, that is where you'll find the community called Akwukwu Igbo. I believe that absence of a central leadership helped to make us very clannish which is no longer necessary today. Synergy is the key thing today and we shouldn't miss.
Lastly, you can research about that association I told you about in the first paragraph. They have videos on YouTube and are growing gradually. The earlier we realize the enormous benefit in synergizing, the better for us all. You can contribute your opinion there.
Hopefully, we shall get it right.

For that stringed calabash it is called Oboh in my part of Ikwerre.
I have to once again reiterate that an Ikwerre man would prefer extinction to being part of Igbo. The reason here could be his misunderstanding of who the Isuoma is and the general Igbo is. To us every Igbo is Isuoma. Accepting to be Igbo to us is accepting to be called Isuoma. This is where the issues lie as there are rites some ikwerre prince are not entitled to perform if they are married to an Isuoma person.
Most people understand ikwerre spoken around Port Harcourt than those spoken at the outskirts e.g. where Amaechi comes from.
There is another thing. Although thanks for trying to distinguish the Isuoma from the general Igbos. The truth is that a typical Ikwerre man sees an Isuoma person as someone who doesn't know customs and traditions.
It is very difficult for the ikwerres to rescind their beliefs about this.
Ubo and Oboh is the same thing.
I see what you're saying and honestly, it hurts to see brothers apart over a minute misunderstanding. In all these, both of us are suffering however one is suffering it most. Ikwerres by virtue of this denial has boxed themselves into a smaller area compared to the vast opportunities they stand to benefit by joining their brothers. I went to school with some of them most of who ended up going back home to Rivers state after youth service. The unemployment rate is very high whereas there are many opportunities which they ignore because they choose to wallow in the falsehood taught against Igbos from the SE. I believe that with greater awareness, many will see that we are the same and team up with their brothers to reap the benefit.
If Rivers state will develop and create bigger opportunities for the indigenes, Igbos from the SE will play a bigger role in it. Of course there are hundreds of thousands of SE Igbos in PH and other parts of the state but their commitment is only half hearted. You can't blame us because of the history of abandon property and this denials you see. Amaechi said he built a large market in Eleme and invited Igbo traders from the SE to come there and make things happen so everyone can benefit. When Wike came, he started destruction. No one can invest heavily in an area where he can sense a negative energy brother or not. In all of this, time is going and so is the young generation being misled.
They shouldn't choose extinction over negotiation.
Either way, the passage of time will ensure smaller and weaker groups are swallowed up. The choice is theirs to make.
Thanks for your time wene. Kaanka o.

Good reasoning and thanks for being civil unlike the hallmark of most Igbos in this debate.
My grandfather saw Igbos and had a demarcation between them and us. They are called them Isuoma. Search online you will find some scientific researches concerning the Igbos and Ikwerres establishing that these people are two distinct people. The Igbos believe that ikwerres are Igbos and the ikwerres see themselves as a distinct tribe not just after the war but before and during. This was the particular reason Igbos dealt with the ikwerres cruelly during the war when the pendulum of power skewed to them.
Bros it is very impossible for an ikwerre person to accept being Igbo not even politically. There are some certain belief held by ikwerre people that I can explain or mention here.
We may have some kind of connection perhaps lost via migration and years.
But one the other is completely wrong.
Thanks for your responses. I'm usually friendly until (mostly through insults) the other person triggers me.

Like I wrote before, it is wrong to call all Igbos Isuoma because we all aren't Isuoma. I did explain to you about the different Igbo clans and I hope you get it. Collectively, we are all Igbos. In my clan, we have communities with Isuama origin but we are not Isuama. The same way you have Aro communities in Ikwerre, we also have Aro communities within my larger clan. We know the Aro communities and how they came about. We know the Isu ones and how they came about. Like I said, the Isu community closest to my town was formed by an Isu man who came and settled closer to us. After sometime, he came to ask to marry our only daughter(she was the last child) and he was accepted. We all have our different dialects yet knew we were the same. The community is smaller than my community. As for the Aro, they came to raid and take slaves. We resisted them by organizing other communities around us and uniting to fight them off. My local government have no single Aro community but our neighbours on both sides have Aro communities. We knew Aros came to take slaves which is why we fought them back.
As you can see, I know about our different clans yet know we are off the same nation. All large nations are like that. They are naturally made up of many clans include the English, French, Spanish, Germans, Chinese, Japanese. They know their different clans but know they're of one nation.
Do you see that 'ubo' (stringed calabash) used by Eze Promo to sing Ikwerre folklore songs, my grandfather had it. My grandmother told me he used to bring it when he was courting her. Whenever she had that sound around their family compound, she will know he was around. What do you call it in your dialect?

I've read a lot about Ikwerres and I know a lot about Igbo history. I haven't seen any single article that suggested Ikwerres to be different from other Igbos. The only thing highlighted is that Ikwerre dialect diverges a bit more than the other dialects around them. From my research, the two most divergent dialects are Ekpeye and Izzi. Ikwerre is more understandable than both of them. Ikwerre itself doesn't speak one dialect. Some dialects are clearer than others. Amaechi's dialect is easily understood because of it's proximity compared to those farther down toward the Atlantic estuary.
I know that some other non-Igbo people settled among the Ikwerres especially towards waterside. This affected their dialect but doesn't change their identity.
Whatever most Ikwerres chose today won't change the reality about the pressure coming in the nearest future. As resources become scarce, smaller and weaker groups will be swallowed eventually. If you reject your Igbo brothers, others stronger than you will come and take over unless Ikwerres are given a separate country of their own. Think of 40yrs from now. Ikwerreland won't remain the same as it is today. Hopefully, oil will still remain because if not, I wonder how the land will be taken care of. A bigger and stronger unit can stand to protect their land but a weak and smaller one won't. Think about it.

If Ikwerres have five states and Igbos have just 4! LGA would you accept to be Ikwerre?
How did you know that you are Igbo? My grandfather knew about Igbos and never told me he was Igbo neither did he tell me I was. How you think I would drop who my grand father told me who I am for who you think I am dismantles all known reasoning and logics.
Are you saying the same Obi Wali whom we believed was murdered because of his fight for the minority rights? How could he be an Igbo man and be Fighting for minority rights?.
Chibuike Amaechi shouted down an Igbo man who called him a son of the Igbos. This is online. For clarity about where Amaechi comes from see what he told the Deji of Akure where he comes from when he visited him during his presidential campaign rounds.
https://thefact.ng/16709-2/
For Uche Okwukwu. He has Aro ancestry. So if he says he is Igbo he is right. We have Aros descendants in Ikwerre land. They are found in Isiokpo, Aluu and Elele where Uche Okwukwu presently comes from.
Even if our DNA says we are the same we.must establish who is the head. Who came first. Is Ikwerre Igbo or Igbo ikwerre? Don't mind the majority which you have as most times truth is not always established on what the majority has said.
Let me address that of the DNA result. If it shows that Ikwerres are predominantly the same stock as other Igbos, you said a search will be done for who is 'senior' or came first. Ok, if it shows Ikwerres are predominantly not of the same DNA as other Igbos, you won't see any Igbo calling you an Igbo brother because you're simply not Igbo. However, if it shows you're Igbo, I wonder which Igbo group you're going to be dragging that first position with. This is because most Ikwerres don't travel out of Rivers State to understand that Igbo is a nation made up of many clans and dialects each with their own form of uniqueness.
You Ikwerres call other Igbos 'Isoma' which is actually 'Isuama'. This Isuama are just one ancient group of Igbos that are neighbours to Ikwerres. Where I come from, my ancestors know them as 'Isu'. In fact, a nearby community was formed by an 'Isu' man marrying our only daughter. The name of the community bears 'Isu...' till date. We see them as in-laws till date and even have a folklore song about it. The 'Isu' clan of Igboland are the closest in terms of migration to the 'Aros' There are 'Isus' all over Igboland including Anioma. The point is 'Isu' is just one group among the Igbo people. We have many other groups like the Orus, Abams, Ngwas, Ndokis, Nri, Awkas, Nkanus, Nsukkas, Ikas, Enuanis, Ukwuanis, Ezzas, Ezzamgbos, Ehugbos, Ikwos, Idemilis, Eris, Aros, Izzis, Mbaise, Urattas etc... Too many many which is why Igbo as a people is big. We all have our peculiarities but can see the similarities we share with the other groups which is why we all decided to stick together as a people. So, when Ikwerres call all Igbos 'Isomas', they are wrong. However, we don't fight them about it. 'Isu' as a group today has been so splitted that I don't think all 'Isu' named communities see themselves as the same clan. Examples of Isu named communities around different states are;
Isu.... Imo state
Isu-Njaba.... Imo state
Isuofia..... Anambra state
Isuikwuato.... Abia state
Isuochi.... Abia state.
Isu-Owu.... Etche, Rivers state
Isu-Awa.... Agwu, Enugu state
Isu-Agbabor.... Onicha, Ebonyi state
Isu-Achara.... Onicha, Ebonyi state
Isu-Ulo.... Anambra state
Ibusa.... Anioma, Delta state (An Isu chief was said to be among the founder of the town)
The Isu are very large in number and more than these communities I listed. They were mostly traders just like Aros but weren't much involved in slave trade like them. Isu is far older than the Aro.

Now, if we want to check who came first between Isu and Ikwerre, it is undoubtedly the Isu. As you can see, the spread they have and the communities they formed is far bigger than Ikwerre. You can't compare Igbo and Ikwerre on this basis because Igbo is a collection of all the people that speak our similar language. You can only compare one clan to another. Example Ikwerre and Ngwa, Ikwerre and Aro, Ikwerre and Mbaise, Ikwerre and Awka, Ikwerre and Nkanu, etc

It is very common for other Igbo clans to call other clans another name as though they are from a different nation. I can confidently say my great grandfather didn't call himself Igbo but our dialect shows clearly that we are Igbo by the virtue of our language, culture, tradition and customary similarities. I can't say because my grandfather didn't tell me he was Igbo, therefore I should just stick with the name of my town. It makes no sense. In my dialect of Igbo, we call stomach 'awhor' instead of 'afor'. We bear names like 'Amaewhule' instead of 'Amaefuna'. However, we mostly go by the popular one 'Amaefuna' when writing the name. If you go to our villages and ask of the names 'Amaewhule', they will think you're from my community. We use the 'wh' in many instances to replace the 'h'. We use it to tell who is from our locality and who isn't. There are many different dialects in Igbo.

Finally, if my clan was not carved into the SE, I'll still consider myself a brother to the people of the SE knowing what I know about our similarities. This in turn will make me identify myself with the larger people especially after knowing the history of Nigerian politics. If the larger SE is called Ikwerre and my clan carved into another region by enemy politicians goes by the name Igbo, I'll identify myself as Ikwerre as long as I can see the language, cultural and traditional similarity especially when our land is contiguous. Boundary can easily change tomorrow but all the other can't change so easily.

Note: Even if the DNA test confirms that most Ikwerres share the same DNA with other Igbos, they still have the right to stay alone. Association is not by force. However, they won't be able to deny that they aren't Igbos. They'll just say we are Igbos but want to remain outside the larger Igbo nation. If that will help them better, it is their decision to make.

LOVEALAIGBO:
Bros, don’t waste your time with these people! The way they furiously try to limit Alaigbo to just the south-east should give a hint of their real intentions and fears! It’s likely a lot of them are not even from Rivers or Delta states, but can easily spend the whole day arguing that there are no Igbo in the aforementioned states! These are ‘one Nigerianists’ and Igbo-haters, and what drives them is pure greed, bigotry and a fear of having to live on their own! Envy also drives them in that assuming Nigeria disintegrates tomorrow, they would preoccupy their time trying to sabotage Ndigbo instead of facing their front and concerning themselves with their own new republic! They are cut from the same rag as those who have used their positions of authority in federal gov’t to undermine Igbo political, economic and territorial interests from 1967 till date, and don’t be surprised most of them are apostles of a certain political and ethnic persuasion! Ignore them!
When I write, it is for a purpose of education beyond the immediate person I'm interacting with. Some things are meant to be ignored while others not so.
Thanks for your advice bro.

We argue and interact to learn.
But with the insulting content of your comments is obvious you are an Agbero that crashed his way into a noble platform like nairaland.
You don't learn by insult, you learn by constructive discuss.
You are not my class at all.
Is unfortunate how nairaland now have acidic illiterate like you in the platform.
Is either you don't have a brain at all or you left your brain at home.
The world would have been a better place if only your father knows the use of condom.
Change your way's and learn how to learn constructively and not by insult.
Or try and go back to school.
Good bye.
My comments had zero insult. Your poor education is showing itself again. All I have been stating is fact unlike you who came with history revisionism yet claiming he came to learn. When you come to learn, you don't use the phrase 'take it or leave it? Such phrases come only from the position of certainty.
I told you to 'shut up' which isn't an insult but a command word. I was right to tell you because the more you 'talk' the more you goof. Here you are involving my father when he has nothing to do with our exchange. You went ahead to call me an 'agbero' which means a tout when I didn't insult you by any bit. You ended up calling me 'an acidic illiterate' when you can clearly see that I can read and write. As for being acidic, it's subjective because it depends on your perception not mine. I can be acidic if I want especially if the situation warrants it but I can never be illiterate. What have been seen cannot be unseen. I don't expect you to understand.
At least, you're correct in only one things which is that 'I'm not your level'. Surely, any reader can testify that I'm not your level.
Finally, I forgive you for your insults. I'm assuming you went that far because you misconstrued my words for insults. Go and sin no more.
Don't forget, keep to topics you know about. If you must engage in those you know nothing about, come meekly as a learner. Bye

Sir,
I will not argue about this subject.
I have done my fact check in the ancient town of Onitsha way back 1997.
As part of this research I paid a visit to the palace of the then Obi of Onitsha.
I will advise you to also do your fact check and visit the Onitsha archive's in the Palace of the Obi of Onitsha.
About Onitsha being an Island, in case you don't know.
We have the Onitsha water-side and the Onitsha Inland. ( MBA road, Emmanuel Church Road, Awka road, Ugwunobamkpa. just to mention a few.)

Omagba and Nkpor are not in Onitsha.
https://onitshanorth.an.gov.ng
I can't doubt that you're literate but I seriously doubt you're educated. Do you know what an Island is? Did you study geography in school?
Have you ever seen where Onitsha and an Island are joined as a compound word? Ok, is Asaba also an island? Asaba also have a waterside you know.

About Onitsha's migration from Benin, the story has always featured in their history however, it is just part of the story. Your excerpt clearly says 'an Igbo man named Ezechima'. Do Bini people bear that kind of a name? Are there any Edoid people that bear such a name? But the same name is borne all over Igboland.
Let me also call you out about your earlier goofing. You claimed they came from 'Onuchu-Ugbo'. How come you now changed it to Benin? I repeat; your education is seriously in doubt.
You have no single point because you're just desperate to disagree with anything about Igbos even when you know nothing about the subject.
I advice you to shut your mouth and move to another topic you know something about.

Igbos! This bastard called Chimenum is cashing out on you people. He has run away from Rumuewhor to SARS Road.
His mother had him as a bastard and came with him from Imo State when he married his Ikwerre father from Rumuewhor. His step-father had to change his name from Nwachukwu his original name to Chimenum. God did for me.
The same person has started causing problems in his adopted home and has been chased out.
Is it this nonentity that Igbos are listening to?
If you look at his face as a psychologist you will decipher the gaps in this guy reasoning.
Ikwerre people rejected Igbos identity before, during and after the war.
Other Rivers people know who are Ikwerres and who are Igbos.
Ikwerre people had never associated with with Igbos in any form let alone denying any other time.
Other tribes in Rivers State would have bore witness to this.
Have they also chased away former gov. Chibuike Amaechi from Ubima? What about Barrister Uche Okwukwu from Elele? Have they chased him away? As you can see, your stories don't add up.
Who killed Obi Wali? He was one of the greatest Ikwerre statesman. He identified as Igbo and worked to ensure Ikwerres were part of the larger Igbo nation. Till date, none of you can say who killed and desecrated his corpse. Your enemies have been trying to tie you down for long but you don't know. The few of your leaders who try to connect you back to your roots most of you back away from them. Look at Ikwerreland today. Are you proud of how it is? They have put you guys in fear and as long as you live in fear, you can't grow.
For a people whose land harbours a large and strategic city like PH, you should be heavy in international trade but you're not because you don't want to synergize with your brothers.
Ok, let's look at Rumuewhor-Odegu. Isn't it the same thing as Umuafor-Odoagu? Most Ikwerres use the alphabet 'e' in place of 'a' and 'wh' in place of 'h' or 'f' in other Igbo dialects. Other Igbo dialects say 'Ala, Ana, Ani, Ali' while Ikwerres say 'Eli'. Other Igbos say 'unu' for the plural pronoun 'you' while Ikwerres say 'anu'. These are just few examples that make Ikwerre just a dialect. In case you don't know, some other clans in the SE use similar words e.g 'wh' for 'h/f' and 'e' for 'a'. It's not exclusive to Ikwerre. If you doubt me, travel into the SE and ask questions. You'll see for yourself.
This Ikwerre denial of their Igboness is costing them too much. They're stuck in one place while those who want them to remain there are currying away the goodies that come to the region. It is you people losing out big time.

Take it or leave it.
The Ikwere's are not Igbo.
The Igbo came and corrupted their language and made it look like they speak Igbo language.
Is like saying the Onitsha people are Igbo.
The Onitsha people came from the ancient Benin empire.
Their ancestral home is still at Onuchu-Ugbo (pronounced Onitsha -Ugbo) is a town in Aniocha North in Delta state.
It was from there their early ancestors crossed the river Niger and settled in the island that is today called Onitsha.
Many of their elderly ones still have this history strong in their hearts.
Is like saying the Nupe man, or the Gbagyi man is an Hausa man.
The Hausa's through trade dominated and corrupted many languages in the ancient Northern NIGERIA.
Is so unfortunate our ancestors did not have any written history.
All this endless argument would have been laid to rest.
You wrote Onitsha people came from "Onuchu-Ugbo". Now I ask you; is "Onuchu-Ugbo" a Bini town before or even today? Is "Onuchu-Ugbo" a Bini word? Does Bini language have the alphabet 'ch' in it?
You see, this is how to disprove criminals like you who go about revising history to soothe your jaundiced opinion.
Again, if Onitsha people are Benin people, who taught them the Igbo they were speaking at the time the Europeans came to Onitsha? Bear in mind that there's no single 'Onitsha in the whole Edo territory but many are found in different parts of Igboland.
Why did I even waste my time on someone that said Onitsha is on an Island?

We are on the same page.
Where i disagree with you is where you said that nothing can be done about it.
It can be reversed if the people are informed of what is going on
Which people will stop them? The same people who have been push to the wall but instead of fighting back, dug holes into the wall to create extra room for their oppressors? Forget about Nigeria.
I'm the one who said it many times here that revolution isn't possible in Nigeria. Have I not been proven right over the years? The people in Nigeria prefer suicide or emigration rather than facing the criminal politicians destroying them.
I ask again; who will stop them? Is it the bastard politicians who steal billions meant for the public and take that same money to the UK and her allies? Which Nigerian politician will attempt to stop them? Just mention one name and tell me another name that will support him in his attempt.
Lastly I ask; will the terrorist Nigerian military be the one to stop them? The army that rapes their own citizens? The one that derive pleasure in destroying the properties of innocent communities simply because they have a problem with a bunch of boys from around that community? The same Nigerian army that sold off two attack helicopters meant to be used for decimating fulani terrorists in Zamfara?
I've told you to learn to say the truth because therein lies your salvation.
Forget about Nigeria. The British will use and milk her to the maximum until they get tired themselves. Nothing will stop them here. Highest, we will continue to kill ourselves to keep the company running for them.
Buckle up because the suffering will quadruple in few years from now. Remember I told you so.

So what are you saying? Because we are a "British business corporation", we should normalise servitude and accept enslavement?
I thought we are trying to free ourselves feom the shackles of imperialism and neocolonialism?
Wake up from your slumber. Your president was in London just last week. He went to renew his servitude. Your enslavement has been normalized long time ago. How many of your criminal politicians have been put in jail in UK? You have no sovereignty as long as British and her allies are concerned. They're still sucking crude oil Free Of Charge while polluting the land and indirectly poisoning the locals. What have you done about it? Nothing! What will you do about it? Nothing!

Let me tell you another one. England has genetically modified chickens to be featherless. They claim the chicken is good/best for the tropics and would be sold to specifically Nigeria and others. It WON'T be sold in UK. You have no sovereignty and can't stop them from poisoning you with that GMO chicken. What WILL your useless government do about it? NOTHING!
Your slavery as Nigerians is permanent. You can't create anything for yourselves.

That is a fact.
We have the worst judicial system around these days. So bad that blatant offenders will tell you openly and loudly, to the hearing of the judges, to "go to court". They know that nothing will happen and they're always right, because nothing seldom happens. Nigerias judiciary is at this moment, at its lowest ebb in history. That is an established fact.

What is not established yet, is the notion that because we have a wobbly judiciary, proven imperialists with wayward agendas, should now usurp the mandate of a nations local judiciary, and go forward to churn out all sorts of dubious judgements that are specifically designed to hyjack her finaces. That is a bigger corruption.

As far as I'm concerned, the Americans and the British are overreaching here. Little by little, they are turning Nigeria into a vassal state with some of these over ambitious rulings. We need a president with some sort of "Abacha-like" foreign policy regime every now and then in this country. Seems like If you don't put your feet down sometimes and demand that you be respected, you will be perennially toyed with.
Is Nigeria not a vassal state? Can't we say the truth anymore in Nigeria? OK, why do Nigerian presidential candidates always visit 10 Downing street and subject themselves to UK's questions before elections? Learn to say the truth and it shall set you free.
Nigeria is a British company which is why they and their allies do whatever they want here. At worst, black hypocrites will look for other blacks to kill in Nigeria rather than facing the truth.
